A week late, which is very unusual for me. It seems my cyles are getting longer.

ellideb · 09/03/2008 20:18

Hi everyone i'm new to this business can someone please enlighten me on what all these abbreviations mean? i'm so fresh, i've been trying to decipher some of them but not having much luck!

Disenchanted · 09/03/2008 20:21

Hiya ellideb

AF- AUNTYFLO (PERIOD)

CD = CYCLE DAY ( THE FIRST DAY OF YOUR PERIOD IS CD1 AND SO ON)

OV = OVULATION

CM = CERVICAL MUCAS

BFP = BIG FAT POSITIVE (PREGNANCY TEST OR OVULATION TEST)

BFN = BIG FAT NEGATIVE

evening ladies
hi katie sorry about af thatnks for luck

MollieMooma · 10/03/2008 10:30

Katie sorry to hear the evil AF got you!
Pink -Any news?
I gave in and did a HPT this morning, BFN as
I expected now keep saying to myself it was too early try tomorrow but I'm determined to wait for AF on Friday as I'm sure she will be here. I'm evil today, very hormonal will either shout at someone or cry at them I think by the end of the day. Dreading my AF this time, last month it was the first since missed m/c and I was almost excited about it coming so I could get back on track with the cycle, but dreading it this time!
Hope everyone else is OK and holding on OK?

pinkgirl30 · 10/03/2008 11:07

hi mm i got a bfn too
cd 43 no af

Teuch · 10/03/2008 12:21

pinkgirl - do you have any idea when you OV'd??

pinkgirl30 · 10/03/2008 13:12

i had egg white cm around day 14 unless i could have ovulated late!!

Monobrow · 10/03/2008 13:32

Afternoon all, on CD 26 today (AF usually comes sometime between 26-29) and have the mother of all AF's so no November bambino for me either. Trying to be very upbeat about it but the disappointment makes me want to cry.

Must ask - how many of you are TTC who are over 35? I have a DD of 20 months who we conceived first time round. Do they say you should check with your GP if you are TTC for more than 6 mths if you are over 35 or is that just with the first one. We have been trying for 8 mths which I know is not long compared to some of you.

My heart goes out to all of you who get an AF visit or a BFN this month. I also have everything crossed for those of you who are still waiting. x

pinkgirl30 · 10/03/2008 13:38

sorry for af mbrw

MollieMooma · 10/03/2008 14:12

Mono sorry she got you
I'm 36 in June and have been trying to TTC for our first for 2 years last March, went to GP in July/Aug last year who did a few blood tests to check for PCOS and thryoid etc, but other than that wasn't really interested in referring us anywhere. Got quite frustrated but then fell pg in Dec, missed m/c in Jan. Just hoping it doesn't take as long again this time!

Monobrow · 10/03/2008 15:00

Thks molliemooma. This is typical of me, the day AF visits, I start panicking, well, just worrying really that there is a problem. My other concern is that I had an emer c-sec with DD and have scarey thoughts that they didnt put things back in their place before they sewed me up - not rational I know, but sometimes, it can be trying saying oh, never mind, better luck next month. So sorry about your m/c - I hope you have some good, lasting news soon.

MollieMooma · 10/03/2008 15:12

mono I'm so glad someone else as illogical panickings like me

Yorky · 10/03/2008 15:15

I have been really good - half way through my 2ww and this is inly my second post. DH is convinced we haven't done it this month as he has been working antisocial and inconvenient shifts but I'm still hoping.
Sunday is the earliest I can realistically test. but I am already wondering if I feel nauseous in the mornings, only sort of hungry/nervous tummy feelings but I think I'm aware of something, which I completely wasn't with DS. How soon did anyone else get symptoms??
Good luck everyone

HairyToe · 10/03/2008 15:28

Hello everyone, I'm watching this thread with interest. Just been on a romatic weekend away with Dh to Amsterdam and struggled with the whole alcohol thing all weekend. Don't think I'm pregnant (I just don't feel pregnant iyswim) but still didn't feel I could let rip and drink like crazy. I know I'll be pissed off that I held back when AF comes .

Mono - I know what you mean about convincing yourself something is wrong. I remember I did the same thing when I was trying for DD2 and convinced myself there was a massive problem. How sympathetic is your GP? Maybe you could go along and have a chat if only to put your mind at rest?

HairyToe · 10/03/2008 15:30

Yorky - re symptoms I wish I could remember! Now TTC number 3 and can't for the life of me remember how I felt in the month I fell pregnant before. No symptoms for me this month at all but maybe that is a good thing!!??

fruitloop79 · 10/03/2008 15:45

Well I'm still here (unofficially). Not sure what my temps are doing as they are still sky high due to flu. So I'm staying put on the 2WW until my temps prove otherwise! So, according to FF, I'm 7dpo I just hope it's not PCOS messing around with my temps!

whatme · 10/03/2008 16:15

new to MN and just browsing, got drawn into 2WW as I didn't know wha it was! I would like to offer some hope, as I remember this situation well, but after 10 years,3 MC, 4 ectopic pgs, and 10 IVF cyles we now have 3dc (7,5,4) 1 very unexpected natural pg, 1 frozen IVF, one very big surprise, also all of them produced over the age of 35, my thoughts are with you all, try stay positive and good luck!

pinkgirl30 · 10/03/2008 16:19

welcome mn thanks for hope
