oh riiiiiiight

is that because you have a way of finding out when you ovulate? and then you have to wait 2 weeks to test?

sorry I am totally dense about all this

Disenchanted · 06/03/2008 08:15

Yup

I'll do some hand holding, if someone will hold mine? I'm CD 31 (normally 28 days on the dot). Have done two tests, one cheapy and one CB, both BFN so am trying to avoid doing any more until at least, um tomorrow! Have been TTC for 10 months, and have had 2 MC, last one in November. Not sure about symptoms, think I'm just imagining most of them, with hope. Haven't dared even told my DH that I'm late yet in case I get his hopes up, which wouldn't be fair after the last 2 MC's.

HairyToe · 06/03/2008 10:47

I haven't been trying long - this is month 2 - but can I join your wait?

I'm TTC dc3, came off pill in January. AF due 17th March. I think I ovd last thurs/fri (Cd10/CD11). We bd'd from CD7 to CD13 then I am ashamed to say we ran out of steam (to be fair me and both DDs did have a tummy bug). Not sure we've really put in enough effort but keeping fingers crossed anyway! Especially as Dh is away next month so no hope for a BFP then (unless I get him to courier some babyjuice and get down to it with a turkey baster...)

pinkgirl30 · 06/03/2008 11:10

hi katie3677 and hairytoe
it is horrible waiting!!
i came off pill too in jan hairytoe stopped it jan 23rd then had last period jan26th

sounds interesting katie3677 you never no

Just out of interest, does anyone have an opinion on whether it is worth spending the money on the digital PG tests, or are the normal (blue line) ones just as accurate?

pinkgirl30 · 06/03/2008 12:07

hi k the normal ones are just as good.
i have bought the pregnancy strips that you dip into pot of wee from ebay 10 for £2.60

Katie3677 · 06/03/2008 12:09

I bought a batch of those, as well as a batch of cheap OPK tests, which I used for 20 days solidly (sometimes 4 times a day) and they never once showed that i was ovulating. Got the PG tests from the same place so am wondering if it is a duff batch and that is why no BFP yet? Could just be clutching at straws though

pinkgirl30 · 06/03/2008 12:13

could be!

Disenchanted · 06/03/2008 12:17

Hiya,

i get the cheapie ebay ones,

but have got a CB digital stored away in case i see a line! lol

Katie3677 · 06/03/2008 13:37

I might go and do another one, just to be sure (Katie slaps herself for not waiting until tomorrow like she promised)

RipMacWinkle · 06/03/2008 13:41

Are the CB digital one's the kind that say the words pregnant or not pregnant? Or is that something else?

Katie3677 · 06/03/2008 13:46

That's them

RipMacWinkle · 06/03/2008 13:47

Thanks Katie - think I'm going to cave and buy one later.

But will buy one of those for fear I read the dots or lines wrong. I need conclusive proof (either way!)

calsworld · 06/03/2008 13:49

RMW you are right, for DS I didn't want the ambiguity of 'is there a line, isn't there a line' so went for CBD. I got two not pregnants before getting 'pregnant' at about 5/6 days past AF due date.

Took a photo and its in his album!

Have to say though, I was fairly convinced I was at that point so didn't mind spending the money, am not really sure what's going on at the moment so am buying cheaper ones that are just as effective.

RipMacWinkle · 06/03/2008 13:50

That's what I did with DS too. Have only ever bought one PG test in my life!!

Am only 3 days late so am trying to wait a bit longer but it's so hard!

calsworld · 06/03/2008 14:44

RMW - how long do you think you have to have BFN's for, no AF to assume you're not pg? Is there a limit? Been trying to find something on the net but no joy really.

fruitloop79 · 06/03/2008 14:56

Hi there! I'm finally on the 2 week wait!!!!!!!! aaaahhhhh! I cant believe it, it's almost as exciting as a BFP!!!!

FF says my test date is 22nd!!!!

fruitloop79 · 06/03/2008 14:57

I'm cd74 btw and 3dpo

pinkgirl30 · 06/03/2008 15:32

hi fl wow that is a long cyclefl good luck
i am cd 40 after stopping pill jan23rd to try for 2nd one. no af still

RipMacWinkle · 06/03/2008 15:44

Calsworld - I don't know.

I guess I would rather wait and get a definite BFP than the uncertainty of a BFN which might be wrong.

Have bought a test. Couldn't wait.

Should really wait till DH comes home.....

Katie3677 · 06/03/2008 15:54

Just done another Ebay cheapie test and still a BFN, so where the flip is AF?!?! I'll give it until Monday and then go and splurge on a digital test

MollieMooma · 06/03/2008 16:12

Can I join the wait?!? I'm on CD21 I OV'd 29/02/08 6 DPO. I've been using the cheap ebay OPK's and so far so good. Now like you say it's the wait and resisting the urge to test like crazy from 10th onwards!! As I had early pg tests free with my OPK's I can't see me lasting very long

pinkgirl30 · 06/03/2008 17:23

sorry katie it is frustrating
i am on cd40 no af have tested cd28,34 and37 bfn

Disenchanted · 07/03/2008 11:07
