just jumping on this thread looking for some advice if possible! Been temping for the best part of two years now and are now TTC. 12DPO according to my chart and I have never had such a smooth one before! Please see attached the chart from this month compared to the one last month which is a lot more erratic. Is this a good sign?

CD5 for me today, ready to start the madness again 😂 My period had the most "normal" flow I've had since removing the my IUD in June, so hoping that'll help.

@etaketak1991 thanks, I hope it does too. I’ve got 2 massive spots in my nose today… unusual for me to get them there - they’re usually on my cheek right before AF.

thats good news about your flow, hopefully your body is regulating better without the hormones.

@EK37 its good that your chart is staying high. When are you planning on testing?

@EK37 yeah I find it’s best to try and wait really, then at least you know a positive will be a positive then

Yep exactly and some how I find getting my period less upsetting than seeing a negative test 😂

@EK37 I’m exactly the same. This month I have tested though but that’s because I thought I’d ovulated a week earlier than I had. But my app adjusted everything according to my temps so I’d already waited 14 days and then went back to 9. I couldn’t resist it any longer. Wish I’d waited more though :(

Hello I'm also jumping on to ask your opinion on my chart this month ... I hope you don't mind!

I am currently temping while breastfeeding and being woken up in the night by my son, so my temps are pretty erratic. I also caught COVID this month which probably didn't help. I usually ovulate on CD14/CD15, but this month have ovulated later. I just wanted to ask your thoughts on whether you think it was CD18 or CD20?

FF originally said I ovulated CD20 but I then discarded a couple of temps and it changed to CD18. While I would love that to be right, and I do think it matches my OPK better, it does feel a bit like cheating to be discarding temperatures! 😁

I usually have a short LH surge in the afternoon. This month, I had a problem with a flooded Advanced CB which gave me a static smiley too early on CD15 (did an easy@home test with the same urine which was completely negative - 0.12 - so I looked at the CB stick and there was just a big smudge of blue and no lines). Then I had watery CM on CD18 so I 'reset' the CB device with a new stick getting an empty smiley, and then got a static smiley with FMU the next morning CD19. However, with easy@home on CD19, the highest I got that day was 0.45, dropping down to 0.2 the following day.

So I've put a +OPK on my chart for CD18 even though I didn't actually get one ... just based on me thinking I prob would have got a + OPK if I'd done one that day properly, and that my static smiley on CD19 was catching the tail end of the surge. I then think I could have ovulated overnight between CD18 & CD19.

Sorry for so much detail ... But it basically means I'm either CD12 or CD14! My usual luteal phase is 12-13 days and I really try to hold off testing until AF is late. If I'm CD14 today, then it gives me reason to hope and do a test first thing tomorrow! (if AF doesn't arrive tonight) But if I'm only CD12, then I need to try to keep my hopes realistic and hold off testing until Sunday!

@Ncl31 Funnily enough I had the non hormonal coil in so it shouldn't have affected my cycles, but they've been very different since removal. Looks like things are finally evening out though 🤞

@cunningplan101 Do your peaks usually read higher than .45? It's likely your peak was CD18, but you may still want to wait until later to test, just in case. Good luck 🤞

@cunningplan101 that jump on CD19 looks to me like a post ovulation spike - do you remember if you slept longer/later that morning or had anything else that might have caused a “false” spike? If not I’d say probably CD18 was ovulation but I think I’d hold out a few days just to be sure if you can!

Thanks @etaketak1991 my coverline is usually around 36.4 to 36.5. It often dips down to 36.2 just before ovulation and then rises up over a few days after ovulation to 36.7-36.9. But this is actually my first cycle since the birth of my son - I got my first period this month after he turned 13 months old - so I'm not sure how my pattern will compare now to when I was last TTC. I know I should be more patient and that it's very unlikely I'll conceive again so quickly.

@ginny93 thank you - my sleep has been very broken because of me, my DH and DS all recovering from covid so I could well have slept less. But I know I didn't have a fever that day. I try and take my temp at 6.30 each day but sometimes if DS wakes at 5 or 6 I'll take it then

Encouraging that you both think CD18 is possible! But you're right I should try and wait a couple more days to test if I can. A negative test is so demoralising. Thank you very much for your replies.

Temp has dropped only slightly today, is this a bad sign???

8dpo today, temps still nice and high, sore boobs and slight cramping here and there but nothing out of the ordinary but only one more week to go 😄

13dpo today, due Sunday/Monday so going to see if I can hold out until after that! not long left for you either @CatiaR

@EK37 I see! not long now, AF for me is next week saturday so I will test if my temp stays up otherwise I will know AF is on her way 😅

I added my two discarded temps back in to switch my O day back to CD20, as somehow psychologically it's much easier to wait when the FF chart is saying I'm CD13 rather than CD15!

My temp stayed high this morning so fingers crossed. I think if my temp is still high tomorrow morning, I'll test. By CD13 I've normally dropped below 36.7 in previous cycles, except for the two when I was pregnant (MMC and my DS) and got my BFPs on CD13, so I'm quietly hopeful. But I don't want to get too excited.

(I just really really hope I didn't actually ovulate on CD28!)

Oops I got my DPOs and CDs mixed up in that last post! 😶

AF has arrived this evening. DH took me out for dinner, just after we arrived I needed to pee… lo and behold, AF! Perfect timing “I’ll have a bottle of red with my steak please”
DH said “did that mean we have another cycle of trying?” Correct darling!

@Ncl31 ah at least AF is here and you can start a new cycle. It was still shorter than your normal wasn’t it? Small wins

@CatiaR yes, it was only 52 days. Opposed to 73 which was my last cycle so I’m hoping this is the start of them getting back to a more normal cycle and all the supplements I’ve been taking are working.
