Swore I wouldn’t test early this month but I bought the easy at home OPK and HCG kit to test for ovulation and have loads of pregnancy tests just sitting there. Ended up testing at 8dpo and got a very faint line. It is early to be testing so i
am surprised a line has shown up. I have read people have got false positives on these.. so I guess I’ll have to continue the wait to find out one way or the other 😭

anyone else 8dpo want to share the pain of the tww?

Ah @spermwhale thats looking promising. With my previous pregnancies which were unplanned I just done one test after my AF was late and that was that 😂 this is whole new world to me. I’ve been poas crazy but still BFN I don’t think I’m going to get a BFP this month.

So me and the other half dtd tonight, there was blood on the sheets as if I was in full flow of AF, this has never happened before, it has really freaked me out. When you’re in the middle of AF it is not so bad because you know the cause of it. When you’re not in the middle of AF it seems like a lot of blood and has really freaked me out. I’ve never bled between periods before and I’ve never come on earlier that 28 days(4 days away) has this ever happened to any of you? I didn’t test
today, I have one CB digital early left which I don’t want to waste.

@mrktmummy ag congratulations!!! I guess mine were definitely false positives. I’ve still not had a line on any other brand. I’m 12dpo according to Premom and 3 days away from AF and still BFNs I think I’m out this month.

I’ve continued testing with opks throughout my cycle since it is the first time using them. They seem to be getting darker leading up to AF. I thought I would post a pic for any future readers to show that dark opks can be both a sign of pregnancy or a surge before AF. Mine went lighter after the peak and begun to become darker again recently.

So the opk ended up turning positive.

I have continued testing using boots early tests. Yesterday afternoon I took a test and could see a faint line, so faint I was wondering if I was imagining it. Showed it to my partner and he could see it too (it has since dried a lot darker). I thought maybe it’s a dodgy test or something. They are difficult to pick up with the camera but are visible to me and my partner in person. All lines have shown up within the time frame.

I done another test later that evening from the same box and again another really faint barely visible line.

I bought a new pack from another city while I was working and done another test this afternoon, again another barely visible line but no darker than yesterday.

WTH? Would I get 3 evaps in a row like this? According to Premom I am 14dpo and a day late for AF but that would mean it is a 26 day cycle which I have never had in my life. They’ve always been 28-32 days and never a day earlier. My last 2 cycles have been 31 days and 32 days.

I have done a million of these boots test and never had even a hint of a second line, not even once the test has dried. I have a CB digital early but if these tests were detecting hcg I doubt the digital would pick it up with lines so faint.

if I was pregnant the line would be much darker by now. I am wondering if it is either a chemical or I have ovulated later than the opks suggested. I did have 3 days of positive opks, maybe I have ovulated a day or so after the last positive rather than from the peak that Premom predicted.

@Dan521 sorry you're going through this, it's awful not knowing! I deffo see a line on the boots tests, very likely to be a chemical as I'd expect to see a darker line by now! TTC can be the pits

@Dan521 i don’t think it’s weird to be at 12DPO and have really faint positives? I know the last time I was pregnant my tests weren’t really visible without having the edit photos / squint / take it to look at in good light until 16-20DPO.
if you can see a really faint line in numerous tests then I think you’re probably pregnant but just very early on?
if implantation only happened for you on day 10 then you’ve only had 2 days of hgc for the test to pick up etc.

Thanks everyone. I was just getting my head around the fact that I was out this month and now it’s back to waiting it out 🙈 the first test I thought I was making it up in my head or it was a dodgy test then two more followed. I was hoping to just surprise my partner thinking I’d get a straight yes or no but I’ve ended up showing him these. I’ll let yous know the outcome. Like I said Premom is saying I’m 14dpo and late for AF but I’m more likely to be 12dpo and AF is due in 2 days.

BFN today with FMU, AF due from tomorrow. I wish I had the will power to be one of those people who didn’t test until AF was late.

OPKs still pretty dark, could I be fertile now?

It maybe had a hint of a line if I really inspect it but considering hcg should double every two days, it should be darker by now if I was pregnant.

Another faint line this evening. No darker than all the others but definitely there. I had a MMC a couple of months ago, they said if I get a positive test to call them to be put on progesterone. I might call them tomorrow and see if they’ll do a blood test.

@HashB its difficult for the camera to pick up because it’s faint but it’s pink and visible in real life, just faint.

I’ve lost count how many times I’ve used these
tests and I’ve never had an evap, not even days later when they’ve dried. I’ve only ever had a line on them when I’ve been pregnant. I always seen these as one of the most reliable tests. I’ve even used many of them earlier on in this cycle and never had even a hint of a line. I do not expect this to be a successful pregnancy (although I hope that it is) I feel like it may be a chemical and would like a blood test to confirm if there is any hcg in my system causing these lines. I worry that my fertility is decreased because of my age and my partner thinks his swimmers might not be working. Even if it is a chemical at least we know an egg can be fertilised. We’re planning to give it some time and if we have no luck then look into further fertility testing.

It’s driving me mad that I can’t get the photos to show what I can see but every one of them has had a second line on them. I’ve done about 8 now all have had second lines.

@Dan521 sometimes if you up the contrast on the photo it helps to see the test line.
if you think you’re 12dpo but haven’t implanted until 9/10dpo then you’re still so so early.
I know it’s torture but would it not be best to leave it and test again Sunday? In 4 days time you should definitely get a visible line darker than the ones you’re seeing now, even if it’s still faint.
don’t they say hcg doubles every 48 hours?
