Actually it could be worse there is a TV programme/series on sky about a family that had twins followed by sextuplets! Now thats bad!!!!

NatalieJane · 03/03/2008 15:56

Must admit the romantic side of twins sounds very lovely, can imagine though it isn't quite as lovely all the time as you'd think!!

But then I suppose for the extra work, you get the extra return, there must be so many things that you just don't get with a singleton, like when they first start to realise the other is there, or when they are giggling to each other, or when one cries because the other is out of sight.

I am afraid I would be one of those parents that keeps them dressed either the same or very similar, until they are 30-something LOL

NatalieJane · 03/03/2008 15:57

OMG Just thought, here I am not letting my self think double buggy thoughts, if I had twins I'd be thinking about triple buggies !!! LOL

Triple buggies are never to be mentioned again. Ever. OK?!!!

Cor, I really need to learn how to type/spell....

GJ, I think most people feel like they become public property when pregnant, and I think it depends on what sort of person you are as to how you feel about that.

I find it annoyed me a bit if I was in a rush, and I have some old biddy chewing my ear off, but most of the time I think, people are just like that, there is nothing I can do to stop it with out being very rude, so it is something you just have to live with. I don't see the point in getting worked up into a state about it.

And sometimes, depending on who is doing the ear chewing and what you are in the middle of trying to get done, it is quite nice to have someone interested enough to ask. It beats the blank depressing faces that never look you in the eye at all others time.

MoosMa · 03/03/2008 16:03

Oh yes, everyone touches your bump and asks the most personal questions! I bumped into an aunt while waiting to see the doctor about vulval varicose veins something very and she kept asking why I was there, I was very tempted to tell her in great detail and see what she said!

NatalieJane · 03/03/2008 16:08

LOL Moosma, I think I would have done And then covered it up with something else 'No, they just want check my bp.....'

I'd try not to look at it as 'they wouldn't have bothered with me before' it may well be true, but seriously it really isn't worth getting worked over, there is nothing you can do about it, and who knows, you might even make some close connections with people through it all.

lardylumps · 03/03/2008 16:31

Hi again,
Someone I went to school with(who never spoke to me until I had ds and now we get on quite well) has 2 sets of twins and then just 1. 5 kids under 5 and she is 21.

MoosMa · 03/03/2008 17:13

Wow Kay, that's a lot of children!

LL - I don't think I've ever heard of a man who would mind that!

Playingthewaitinggame · 03/03/2008 17:15

Wow Kay 5 under 5 at 21, now that is insane! Barely been legal long enough for that!

OO food is my fav subject. Had roast chicken yesterday, twas delicious and huge (3.27kg bird), we will be eating it all week! Not that I am complaining as it was fantastic, looking forward to left overs with dinner tonight.

kayzisbroody · 03/03/2008 17:16
