Awww. How sweet.

NatalieJane · 03/03/2008 13:10

Sweet?

Big Jessie behaviour? Yes.

'tis a good job I didn't get mixed up and send DS1 to school with mine! LOL

calsworld · 03/03/2008 13:10

NJ, that's lovely! I'm lucky if I get a 'heart' emoticon on instant messenger!

NatalieJane · 03/03/2008 13:12

Is it only me then that thinks it is slightly, erm.... OTT?

LOL, he would be mortified if he knew I'd told you all LOL

kayzisbroody · 03/03/2008 13:13

I wish my dh was that sweet

kayzisbroody · 03/03/2008 13:15

I saw my friend this morning and she has 8 weeks to go and looks the size I did at like 20 weeks!!

NatalieJane · 03/03/2008 13:15

He has a meeting tomorrow with his engineer, (engineer, who is gay) I might do the same to him tomorrow, his engineer would take the piss something chronic LOLOLOL

calsworld · 03/03/2008 13:16

NJ - I copied your post and sent it to my DH...he thought it was funny but hasn't got the hint. Oh well.

I agree Kayz, romance has never been DH's strong point. Don't get me wrong, he does loads for me, but its just not romantic stuff. I think I watch to many films and period dramas

NatalieJane · 03/03/2008 13:16

Kay, I can never decide if I am of people who don't get huge, or very that I do get huge. I love having a huge bump, but after I wish I'd have had a little bump!

calsworld · 03/03/2008 13:18

NJ, what a 'lovely' idea! I'm sure he'd thank you

calsworld · 03/03/2008 13:20

Everyone said I was huge with DS but I denied it (does anyone admit it at the time?), but I had some pro photos taken and so I have the evidence, I was enormous!! My bump was quite low and oval and I was really envious of everyone with small 'pert' round bumps.

NatalieJane · 03/03/2008 13:20

DH never used to be romantic, apart from the flowers every week when we first got together, he's never been one for romance, but this last year or so he has got better.

I have a notebook next to the computer just for scribbling notes in etc. on the front is a picture of two butterflies, a pink one and a blue one, with hearts on their wings, DH has written our names in the love hearts, and on the first page inside the note book, he has written "I love my wife very much xxx"

2 years ago, he'd have laughed his arse off at doing that sort of thing, but it is becoming the norm around here now

It's probably why we have a lot of sex, more kissing, cuddling, feeling close etc.

calsworld · 03/03/2008 13:22

Oops don't know what happened there. Sorry.

kayzisbroody · 03/03/2008 13:23

I loved being big last time round!

MW thought it was because I was so small before I got pg or that ds was going to be big. Which he wasn't he was 7lbs 2oz so around average.

The only time dh got me flowers was our wedding anniversary and this valentines day. He didn't even get me flowers when ds was born.

NatalieJane · 03/03/2008 13:25

My, well, DH's neice had a little boy last year, she was a size 6 when she got pregnant, he was born a month or so early, wighing 4lb, she hadn't even put enough wieght on to make it to a size 8! We saw her the next day after he was born and she was as flat tummied as ever Not even a teeny tiny stretch mark

calsworld · 03/03/2008 13:26

NJ after DS, DH and I had a very, very long period with absolutely no action whatsoever and I do think that the lack of romance and day to day affection has played a HUGE part in it. And its not like I don't try myself, he just doesn't get it and doesn't respond to it.

He's a macho man through and through, and if the world ended, you'd want to be with my DH or someone very like him! Bit of a joke with all our mates that it doesn't matter what tool or gadget you need, DH has it and probably secreted somewhere around his person!

calsworld · 03/03/2008 13:27

Pants, just seen the sign - been lovely having company today guys. I'll catch up again later,

Cal, x

kayzisbroody · 03/03/2008 13:28

OMG, Thats so unfair.

I saw someone I know when we went out and her dd is 3 weeks older than my ds and she doesn't even look like she has had a baby.

calsworld · 03/03/2008 13:28

the sign? the sign? WTF?

I've just seen the time....

kayzisbroody · 03/03/2008 13:30

I was wondering what 'sign' you had seen then!
LOL

NatalieJane · 03/03/2008 13:32

It is true, kisses and cuddles don't seem like much, but if you are sat at the same end of the sofa, having a cuddle, you are far more likely to end up ripping each others clothes off, than if you are at different ends, or in completely different rooms.

I don't think we ever really talked about lack of romance equals lack of sex, but I think we just realised that if you don't put the effort in, you don't get anything out.

I am sure I have said it before, but (if you are queasy, you may want to ignore this bit!!) we have had our ups and downs as any couple does, and although we have never got to the point of spliting or anything as extreme as that, we have had times where we could go a week with out having a proper cuddle or more than a quick peck on the cheek as he came in from work, now, well I think we are the happiest, most content, and deffo the most head over heals in love we have ever been.

OK vom-fest over

kayzisbroody · 03/03/2008 13:34

Awwwww!!!

My and dh have weeks of being really cuddly and stuff and then we'll have a few weeks of not being so romantic.

But I normally moan at him for not being romantic. But with his new job we see a lot more of each other now he has weekends off.

NatalieJane · 03/03/2008 13:42

Bye Cal, look forward to test result tomorrow!!

I had a long time where DH just couldn't win, I'd moan he wasn't romantic enough, so then he'd be all over me, and I'd moan I fed up of him being draped all over me all the time LOL

I think a lot of it had to do with being on the pill, since I came off it to have DS2 we have been on a much more even keel, I've not been flying off the handle for no reason, he is more relaxed because he knows I am not going to suddenly turn into a Mr. Hulk impersonator.

Maybe it is as much to do with my age, growing up a bit. I don't know, but I know things have been much better, and that's all that matters really.

I make it sound like it was awful before, it wasn't, and we were happy, but just not as happy as we are now.

kayzisbroody · 03/03/2008 13:47

We were worse when I was on the pill too. When I wasn't on it I was much less grumpy even while I was pg.

The pill is evil!!
