I think we all need to stay positive. These stats are based on women of average height/weight/age/cycles/OV/everything, and who are having sex with men who are average weight/height/age etc. etc.

GJ yes we worked very hard Can not believe I just wrote that, sounds like a line out of a cheap porn film, not that I watch cheap porn films..... OMG, I am in a waffling mood today!

I bought 4 cards in Clintons, it came to £18 something..... I am still feeling a bit narked at that....

ohjoy · 27/02/2008 14:53

Bye All, it is nearly home time for me. and this is it for the week.

Chat to you tomorrow!

NatalieJane · 27/02/2008 14:54

Bye Heron, have a nice lazy afternoon

Starshinetiger · 27/02/2008 15:01

Well, finally got a chance to get online and catch up with you all today - trouble is, by the time I've read it all, I've forgotten what I was going to say!
Just found myself justifying going on here, a la "What shall I do now? Oh, I know, I'll go on Mumsnet, ooh, really shouldn't as am at work... ah well, haven't been on yet!" - as if it's part of my job to go on Mumnset each day!
Having said that, I have been running around all day, since I arrived at 7.45am, so I think I'm entitled to quick break!
Got a bit down yesterday, as checked my OV calculator on another site and realised that we are not going to be TTC until beginning of May and I had thought April - boo! Ah well, plenty of time for practising in the meantime and I think I should be OV over bank hol weekend in May, which is as good a time as any !
I am so ridiculously excited about it and have been relatively good on the diet front so far this week, so fingers crossed for the weightloss.
Teuch - sorry re. AF, fingers crossed for next month.
Kay - looking forward to hearing what happens on Friday!
Shall have to look into fertility monitors - I would like to know a bit more about my cycle for this time round, although the just to at it all month approach sits fine with me !
My turn to waffle (again) now.
Right, no rest for the wicked, back to work...

Hiya Tiger I am about the same as you, as in hoping to start TTC'ing in April, but depending on cycles it could, and probably would be May. And you are most definitely entitled to a break!! No justifying needed!

GJ my boys are 5yo and 14mo, DS1 and I used to make cards till he went to school, he will make one for my mum and MIL, but he also likes to sign a 'proper' card. DS1 is too young, or perhaps I just value my carpets too much to let him lose with glue and glitter yet!! When he is a bit older we will go back to making them again.

I have already had lunch and it is obviously wayyyyyy to early for dinner, but I really fancy eating pie and chips I don't even like pie and chips, can't do pies with out gravey, and can't do chips with gravey, so it is not a combination I have very often..... I can almost smell it....!!

NatalieJane · 27/02/2008 15:16

I'm not even hungry....

Starshinetiger · 27/02/2008 15:25

Sorry GJ, I meant to say well done to you on the health eating too . It really works for me to hear that others are sticking to their healthy eating, as it makes me need to stick to it too (is that my competitive streak coming through?) Although have just had a diet coke and they really don't agree with me, but I needed the boost!
Nat at the £18 on cards - I can't believe what they get away with. I can't wait until my DS (17mos) is old enough to enjoy making cards - but we do have laminate, which although not exactly to my taste, we decided not to replace when we found out we were pg with DS and it was the best decision - so much easier to clean up! When the DC are old enough, we might replace it - mind you I guess that's only when they move out, as do they ever grow out of messiness (hark at me, the old biddy!)
Another long post from me

Well DS1 will be 6 next month, and if you saw the state of his room, you wouldn't know if he had it carpeted/laminated/made out of recycled grass/or solid gold, so in answer to your question, nope, and the mess doesn't only not get better with time, it spreads. When they are big enough to bring board games downstairs, that is when the real fun begins! He hasn't had his game of hungry hippos out since he was 4 and I still every now and then find a little yellow ball....

Christobel79 · 27/02/2008 15:33

hello everyone, i have been lurking a bit since january and have just got round to signing up to MN. Please can I join you? I am trying for baby number 1 - on 2nd cycle of trying, day 23 today but thinking deffo not preg this month as have really bad cramps today. not sure how long normal cycle is as last month was about 40 days after coming off the pill . . . am very nervous about the whole thing!!

NatalieJane · 27/02/2008 15:39

Hiya Christobel Welcome to the wonderful world of MN and to the thread

Will give a few words of advice, if I may?

1: MN is very addictive.
2: TTC'ing is very obsessive.
3: This is the thread that will get you, and us, through it!!
And lastly, 4: we have one rule, no info is too much info!

BTW, early pregnancy can often seem like the onset of your period

largeginandtonic · 27/02/2008 16:08

Welcome Christobel! Lovely name btw. I am ttc #7 and am on cd9, 2nd cycle of trying.

Natalie is a fountain of all knowlege, she knows an awful lot about > sex too, she is at it all the time

NatalieJane · 27/02/2008 16:14

Christobel, I got lucky and met my lovely hubby while I am young enough to enjoy him!!

I don't think I have ever been called a fountain of all knowledge before, fountain of all crap and bollox sounds more like it! Stop nodding at the back!!!

I do have a fair bit of sex, why not? Beats watching shitty telly!

lardylumps · 27/02/2008 16:21

Hello everyone, Welcome Christobel. I have been feeling really down today, cant explain why (well could be putting it in words would make me look stupid).

Anyway hope you are all well and having a lovely day.. Kay I am working on Sunday I can not believe it I am the only mum that works our department and I am on the rota and no one will swap.... What gits.....

NatalieJane · 27/02/2008 16:27

Oh no LL, bummer about Sunday! DH has the same situation at work, he is the only one with either kids, or at least young kids, and he is always on call over xmas, and/or new year. He has booked next xmas off completely, but his MD was so pissed with him for doing that, he has now been put on for nearly every bank holiday this year - he can't win

And if you want to get whatever is wrong off your chest, I promise I won't think it's silly. It is often the silly things that work you up more than the big things!

No nothing really I am just worried that it will take us ages to get pg. Where as before dp and I were, well like NJ (when it comes to bonking) now we are more weekend people. What if i miss the date?????

NatalieJane · 27/02/2008 16:57

I swear at her, under my breath.....

Big 'n' hard I am, not scared of anyone!!

NatalieJane · 27/02/2008 17:00

Oh LL, that is not silly.

Unless you OV on a Wednesday, you would be covered well with the weekend, and it wouldn't be impossible even on a Wednesday.

Why not erm.... try and not be weekend people anymore? Make Wednesday your mid-week shag-a-thon day, and you'll be fine!!
