kayzisbroody · 27/02/2008 07:55

Oh Nat its a great picture.

ohjoy · 27/02/2008 07:58

Morning All,
day 1 on clearblue fertility monitor today! YAY!

my unit is a second hand one and to clear all previous data stored in the unit, do the following:

  1. use a test kit and insert into the slot
  2. press on button and m button at the same time until a bunch of symbols come up on the screen display.
  3. let go of the two buttons.
  4. the screen should now show on the right hand side, the m symbol and the two dashes.

the unit is now ready for you to use! with out the data of the previous user.

kayzisbroody · 27/02/2008 08:11

Morning Heron,

I hope it works for you.

Sounds complicated to delete the old users data.

ohjoy · 27/02/2008 08:24

Morning Kay, it is complicated but it works and it is so much cheaper than buying a new one for £99! the makers of the unit does not want people to re-use! so that they can make more money

but there are quite a lot of units for sale on ebay

kayzisbroody · 27/02/2008 08:31

Yeah they all say that. Like free things on newspapers they say not for resale but you can find them on ebay.

Playingthewaitinggame · 27/02/2008 09:44

Morning ladies,

Sorry about AF Teuch . Roll on next month.

Never watch any of those haunted type programmes so I have no idea who Kay is talking about either .

I'm not going to bother with those fertility monitors (she says bravely ), just gonna relly on the EWCM monitoring and lots of GOFing, dont want to make it too much of a big deal (no idea if thats even possible)! Anyhow, as I still have about 6 months to kill before ttc I should have a pretty good idea of my cycle and ov dates by then as I am trying to monitor it quite closely right now. Mind you if it doesn't happen in about 6 months of trying I am sure I will be using every method under the sun

NatalieJane · 27/02/2008 10:20

Cor Kay..... that picture.........

Heron, you are on your way now Is this monitor the one that can be used as a natural contracption as well? I seem to remember someone from my old TTC thread using one.

I was thinking if I don't get pregnant in May, which is obviously fairly likely, we are having June off to avoid a March EDD, but I think I might get one of those microscope thingymebobs, to see the saliva. It would be interesting to see if the saliva ties in with the EWCM.

Right I am off into town, I think it's going to rain Fingers crossed it will hold off till we get back, I shouldn't be too long in there anywhere.

See you all in a bit xxx

largeginandtonic · 27/02/2008 10:24

Never mind Teuch more GOF next month

I have been looking at the Clear blue fertility monitors on ebay, they are still going for about £50 that seems like an awful lot. I want one though, we could pass them down too!

OP posts:
ohjoy · 27/02/2008 10:25

Hi Nat, yes i am on my way! yes it can be used a contraception as well cos it tells you when you're not fertile.

crossed fingers we all get what we want!

ohjoy · 27/02/2008 10:46

Teuch, sorry about AF coming, next month! keep positive

NatalieJane · 27/02/2008 12:30

I'm back, and we're dry

Y'know I said we had workmen out the front digging the path up on Monday? They were laying a new path, and guess what? They are out there digging some of it up AGAIN to lay a pipe..... will never understand some people....

I just had a prawn salad roll, talking of marie rose sauce yesterday, I really fancied it

I am a bit and , we have a posh local shop called Diamonds and Pearls in town, it does really lovely costume jewelerry and ornimental things like photo frames trinkets boxes etc. I bought my mum a gorgeous little clock for christmas from there, and she loved it, they had matching frames and mirrors and all sorts at the time, so I thought I'd get her a nice frame with a picture of the boys and a little compact mirror thing for mothers day, but they don't do the same style stuff anymore I don't know what to get her now, and I know she would have been really pleased with them. Anyway, got the MIL a flower basket thingymebob from M&S and some chocolates, so my good deed is done for the day. Grrrrr!

Diege · 27/02/2008 13:11

Just popping on quickly before my train to say hi . Boo to af Teuch, though I,m sure you will keep positve as it's such very early days. I read somewhere that even if you GOF on the right day (ie, egg is there waiting) you only have a 15% chance of conception??? It's surprising anyone ever gets pregnant!!
Right must love you and leave you - my plush hotel and a GOS await me!! Speak Thurs eve, diege xxx

Playingthewaitinggame · 27/02/2008 13:18

Hello, I am busy eating a yummy and smelly cheese sandie, smelling out the office!!

Glad you kept dry Nat. I do have no idea why they cant programme their work properly and lay all the cables BEFORE they resurface! We're not really big on the mothers day thing in our family, dont do presents, but I might invite her round for dinner so she doesn't have to cook.

kayzisbroody · 27/02/2008 13:19

Hello all, Its dinner time.

LOL Nat I told you it was good. I watch football for all the wrong reasons.

My pregnancy tests have arrivied!!!

Playingthewaitinggame · 27/02/2008 13:24

Kay, how are you going to stay strong and wait to test?

kayzisbroody · 27/02/2008 13:26

I dont think I will. Theses ones are apparently able to give you an answer 7 to 10 days after conception so I might have to test on Friday.

I have told him, we are going to drop cards of at his mums and mine and then we are coming home!!

He is now panicing trying to find somewhere that isnt booked for sunday lunch.

Men eh?

NatalieJane · 27/02/2008 13:51

Diege, I know you're gone, but have a lovely lovely time, I am not in the slightest bit , not at all

Kay, not even the thought of sweaty men in shorts get's me watching football, can not understand the point of the game. Can you imagine the first person to ever come up with the idea? "Oh, yeah, let's like, kick summut round a green thing for 90 minutes, that sounds like fun" And the stupid comments that commentators say "Oooooo that'd have gone in if the goal keeper wasn't there" WTF? The goal keeper is supposed to be there, isn't he????! He is doing his job, isn't he???? Or, "Ooooo I think that went over the line" Errrr hello???? You are there to tell us what has gone on, not tell what you think happened...... I don't like football, can you tell?!!!

Moving on..... LOL

GJ well done with the diet I know people think it's only a day, but when you are dieting, the norty foods are always on your mind, and it does take a lot to not go and grab that chocolate bar or whatever.

DH has just nipped home for lunch, which was lovely DS2 is in bed, DS1 at school, was lovely to be almost alone for a while. He is lovely I just said lovely 3 times, four actually, I am going to stop typing now!

NatalieJane · 27/02/2008 13:54

Awww Kay, sometimes they need a boot nudge in the right direction.

ohjoy · 27/02/2008 14:25

Kay, it must be hard to wait till fri to test! i would find it impossible!

fingers crossed for you.

for women my age, my chance of conception every month is only 5%...

when i was 37 and conceived DS, it was 12%.

but i am still positive! i have nothing to lose by trying and everything to gain! including weight! LOL
