Oooooh good chart ei. Thw white circles are to indicate you have taken your temp at a different time that's all.

I love the idea of a thread on the ante-natal boards for former symptom spotters/waiting room ladies. We can talk to DG and other previous graduates too. I hope I get to join!

fruity Sorry about the BFN. They are just horrible aren't they. Hope your AF arrives so you can have a clean slate.

disenchanted I wouldn't worry too much about the opks. If you are bd'ing every few days then you are giving yourself a good chance.

sparkly Fingers crossed you get a holiday BFP.

oh right thanks JB im a bit confused with my temps at the mo and i am trying desperately not to get my hopes up as my temps might be like this every cycle and i just never knew til now its quite hard not to tho with my tiredness, heartburn and niggly cramps (which i only ever get the day before AF)
xx ei xx

Disenchanted · 28/03/2008 12:18

Thanks girls,

you know what its like, panic, panic, panic! lol

mibbes · 28/03/2008 12:51

yes hunny it most certainly could ! take a look at my chart as I had a imp dip on 10dpo of almost exactly the same amount...
Sparkly still rising... Have a great break
Fruity so sorry for BFN - hope TEW shows soon and ends this ridiculous wait.
Ei good temps mi lady - when you planning to test ? BTW that locum GP is an idiot Your symptoms sounds really good though ! I have been getting the odd very distant AF-type cramp. Whenever I feel it I panic but then have to remind myself that it is probably stretching ligaments.
JB you will be on that thread with us really soon, we'll wait here for you.
Well my temp was strange this morning as first it was 36.92 so I did another 2 immediately afterwards to get the best of 3 ! and got 36.83 then 36.99 . I'll put the first one but am hoping that falling temp is not a bad sign. Emmsy when did you stop temping ? I know that I should just ditch the thermometer now but if something is going to go wrong I want to know about it.

mibbes You should just ditch the thermometer! DG was worried about her falling temp and posted on the preg boards not long after her BFP and all the advice on there was to stop as it is an added stress. As long as it is above the coverline you're fine. I've seen FF charts where ladies have continued to take their temp on the line wiggles about. It doesn't keep rising or necessarily stay in the top range, it just stays above the coverline. Relax pregnant lady

Thanks for waiting for me. I worked out my EDD based on my LMP, and IF I got a BFP this cycle and it would be 25th December! I shouldn't have looked really, I do this everytime .

disenchanted Have you thought about temping? It doesn't help predict when to bd but it does confirm ov so you can stop the pressurised bd'ing! I really like it.

Fingers crossed ei! Are you going to test early or hold out?!

xxhunnyxx · 28/03/2008 13:20

Thanks everyone, I think it is maybe a bit early for implantation as I think the earliest I could have ovulated was Friday/Saturday and last time I was PG I got really strong implantation cramps but I've not felt anything so far.
I'm going to the pub for a few drinks tonight tho, is that likely to raise my temp much? I know I probably shouldn't be drinking but I figured it could be months before I do actually conceive so I'd best make the most of being un-pregnant whilst I can

mibbes · 28/03/2008 13:36

hunny you are quite right to take advantage of being un-PG missus, but yes it will definitely skew your temp - a couple shouldn't make much difference but any more than that will. I have read that imp can happen any time from 5-12 dpo so it is perfectly possible that your dip is imp... if it shoots up tomorrow (and you haven't had loads of drinks tonight) then that is a very good sign... FF did a survey of how many worm who fall PG get an imp dip and it was about 30% I think and they considered an imp dip to be 0.3 so you are bang on !
Thanks so much Jollybear you have made me feel so much better xx and at xmas baby ! I soo hope you get an extra special delivery from santa this year...

mibbes · 28/03/2008 13:37

erm worm should be women

fruitloopwants79eastereggs · 28/03/2008 14:51

Ok, I finally have proof of my BFN!

I emailed the test company who got back to me immediately with:

"A first for us too - never heard of a pink dot before. I can only assume that somehow as the reactive dye for the 'control' line was being deposited it also caused a drop to be put in the wrong place. Definitely a negative as the HCG 'test' line is deposited in a long line (strips are cut to size after deposition) so a proper line would appear if you are pregnant."

So there we have it, a big fat negative

fruitloopwants79eastereggs · 28/03/2008 20:00

Oh my good god! I think AF's making her presence , all that (TMI) extra CM has turned pink!!!!! Hooray! I wonder if I'll actually make it to cd100! Or maybe I'll get proper AF tomorrow.......

SparklyMummy · 28/03/2008 20:46

Hi! I managed to get online in London so I can post my temp tomorrow (if i can find themometer in case, in the dark cos DD is sleeping in same room). xxx

mibbes · 28/03/2008 22:42

Ha ha Sparkly we just can't keep you away ! Look forward to seeing your temp
Fruity hope she comes by the morning and then buggers off quickly too

scully · 29/03/2008 01:53

Well, had my scan on Thurs, was told sac was 6wks (should be 8) but couldn't see fetal pole so have been told pregnancy not viable and to see if I m/c naturally rather than having d&c, as it is a lot earlier than last time (last time was 12wks). Go to work on Fri and get home to find message from gp to say I need to go to a&e straight away and that she has faxed my history to them, as the results from Thursday's blood came back and my hcg is now at 22000, having increased from 7800 on 17/3. She was concerned that this could have meant an ectopic pregnancy. So after waiting 3hrs in a&e, we saw a doctor, who consulted with hospital gynacologist, and they took more blood and want me to come back to see the gynae on Monday morning. Not a lot they can do really, as I haven't been bleeding, have no pain, nothing, just increasing hcg levels. Thursday's scan showed sac in my uterus, so it didn't suggest to anyone that it was ectopic from the location. My uterus is also tilted, which can make it harder to see baby, but I'm accepting the fact that it isn't viable, but would just like to know what the f* is going on. I was very sad 2wks ago when we had our first scan, so now just want to get on with things so we can start trying again. Guess I will have to be patient until Monday and hope it's nothing out of the ordinary.
Hi to everyone, hoping for uneventful weekend

Emmsy1 · 29/03/2008 07:07

scully I am so very sorry hun, wish I could change things for you, I have read that its possible but very rare that you can have an ectopic pregnancy and a pregnancy in the womb at the same time, as I mentioned though this is extremely rare, hope this isn't happening to you. Maybe because of your tilted womb the gynae just cant see the fetal pole, but like you, I know deep down thats very unlikely with you being 8 weeks. If you do start bleeding in the mean time scully, please go direct to a&e just incase you do also have an ectopic, my thoughts will be with you, love and hugs XXXXXXX

mibbes I stopped temping this time after I had 18 high temps. I know you said you want to know if things are going to go wrong, thats how I originally felt. After having two M/C in the last year, I changed my mind. I felt as though I was waiting for them to drop and they did, never again! The stress I put myself under was rediculous, the last M/C I had in September, I can actually hear myself saying to my DH, my temps dropped, I'm sure I'm going to m/c today, and sure enough I did, you just add to the other worries that you have about pregnancy, please re-think your decision to carry on tempingXXX

Ei Starting an ante-natal thread that anyone can join is a brill idea, we will wait for your BFP before doing it, cos it's your idea. Shouldn't be too long now!

OP posts:
Emmsy1 · 29/03/2008 07:33

Disenchanted got a bit confused with your opk question (although it doesn't take much these days) If your going to test twice aday its probably best to test around midday and early evening (teatime) OPK's dont work the same as hpt's do, they are basically crap first thing! Once you have done the test and waited the alloted time, throw the test away! don't torment your self by keeping them hoping that a ++ will come up. As the other girls have already said you have probably done enough b/d to hopefully catch that egg. JB asked are you temping? I second this, its the only true way (if you dont have any underlying problems like poor fruity) to be able to tell if you actually ovulating) it is so easy to miss the LH surge on the OPk's, good luck hun X

OP posts:
Emmsy1 · 29/03/2008 07:37

xxhunnyxx it sure could be an implantaion dip, its not too early! I will also hasten to add that not one of my pregnancies have been identical, so chill out and heres hoping that the temps go back up shortly, (remember they may not go back up straight away,IMPLANTATION IS A PROCESS AND NOT AN EVENT!)XX

OP posts:
Emmsy1 · 29/03/2008 07:44

sparkly hope you had a good night! can't believe that you have taken your laptop on holiday!
fruity well I hope AF is here in full force, its so unfair how your body and hpt keep messing you around. whats the next procedure once AF is here?? Can't you sit in the doc's and cry and beg for clomid, don't think it's fair that you should have to wait until August, and it's not fair that people who have a little more spare cash can get their hands on it if they wish. NHS sucks! (sorry Ei you probably agree with me!)

OP posts:
fruitloopwants79eastereggs · 29/03/2008 07:52

Oh scully I'm so sorry I havent been through this before so I cant imagine how you're feeling but {{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}

Right, I have major TMI coming up but I need to know if you think this is normal? perhaps for such a long cycle it is; I started getting pink CM yesterday and then last night and this morning it is brown and stringy. Do you think this could be old blood? Do I start from CD1 today? Or wait for red blood? There's no option in FF, only spotting, light, medium and heavy. Well I suppose it's light but I wasn't sure whether to put that in yet?

I have stayed at the bottom of the list for now

My temp has come right down so my chart is finally starting to make some sense! It went up while on the prog and now AF is here/on her way it has dropped (yay!)

Hi Emmsy next step is to call the hospital on CD1 (today? or not? I have no idea) to book HSG scan then between CD1-CD5 I've gotta have a blood test (cant remember what for now). At the moment I'm thinking maybe it's just not my time to have another baby yet. Maybe that's why everyone I know (in RL!) is so lucky to fall pg straight away - because it's just their time.

I have to say, it was an amazing feeling to see that dot on the test, much as I knew it was faulty

Emmsy1 · 29/03/2008 08:10

fruity thats weird, normally I would say that sounds like implantation gunge, but totally baffled with your body, maybe you should phone the hospital and ask them about your bloods. Usually CD1 of AF only start from proper bloodflow, but not sure how the meds you have been on would affect your AF? think you need some professional advice. It is soo good to see that pink line fruits, you will get another one again, how old are you? I was nearly 35 when I had my first child!

What should happen if I am expecting AF or am pregnant? Does temp continue to rise and then drop before AF?

sparkly your meeting fruity at 10am thats brill, wish we were all meeting up, it would be great, we will have to arrange something in the future, no reason to rush, we will probably all be around for a long time! hope so anyway!
