TTC- Month 1

Hey :),

Me and my DP have just started our TTC journey for baby #2, we already have our DD who is 18 months, and decided now would be a good time for us to try for #2!, he is very laid back.. I’m not so much. I came off of the pill last month and had a regular period end of last month and finished 1st of this month, I have been using Premom OPK’s this month and the flo app and found my peak LH 2 days ago on the OPK’s, had left side abdominal cramps yesterday so I’m pretty sure I ovulated. We DTD nearly every day (twice yesterday) since the day my fertile window began.

I'm super anxious and just wondered if there were any other women starting their TTC journey feeling the same!

DD was not planned, and I took 25+ pregnancy tests through the beginning of my pregnancy with her from when I found out, because of how bad my anxiety can get (I was so worried about loosing her as I found out I was pregnant super early, 3.5 weeks along). I’m a HUGE overthinking and I just wish I was more laid back like DP!

I know it’s only month 1 and it’s totally normal not to get pregnant for along time yet… I just hope
for the sake of my overthinking brain, it doesn’t take too long. But it is a game of mostly luck.

Hope to hear other women in the same boat or starting their journey, fingers crossed and sending baby dust to everyone, and for a BFP!

I am terrible and I’d absolutely cave if they were in the house! Lol, I have to take precautionary measures by making sure there’s nothing in the house to temp me to test at 6dpo or something 🤣 I’m feeling okay! Been super all over the place mentally since ovulation but I’m not putting anything down to pregnancy symptoms yet as I wouldn’t have even implanted yet, but it’s so hard to not overthink every tiny possible symptom! How are you feeling? So glad the line is getting darker.. here’s to a dye stealer!

@Emilyadams98 I am the exact same 😂😂 I did buy loads of cheap internet ones though for when I’m feeling the need 🙈 how many DPO are you now?

im ok. Just trying to stay positive 🙈🙈 which is very hard I think once I take a clear blue digital I will believe it more 🙈🙈

I've ordered a pack of easy@home’s so I have lots to test with as I know when I start I’ll get addicted to see line progression again like I did with DD, but I’ve also ordered 2x FRER so I can double check for a positive! Definitely the digital confirmation is 🤩 I’m only 5dpo at the moment so got 5 days left 😭, torture.. how many are you?

How is everyone? ☺️ @Soph2512 did you get a digital positive? Currently 7dpo and pulling my hair out with impatience..

i’m going nutty, i don’t think i’ve ovulated still 😭 my opks aren’t positive but i’m worried it’s just that i bought cheap crappy ones so they’re wrong ?? argh

honestly i’d test at 7dpo just for the fun of squinting 😂😂

@Emilyadams98 yes I did 🎉🎉 I am so nervous about it though . I just can’t shake the anxiety that something might go wrong ☹️

@satellitesunshine some women don’t get a peak and still ovulate! Are you temping eswell or just OPK’s? I had an LH surge on easy@home OPK’s and had EWCM for a fair few days leading up, then 24 hours after positive OPK I had pretty grim cramps on my left side.. I really hope we get it first time this month as I can’t be bothered going through OPK’s again and the addiction of peeing in then hoping for a surge and it take forever 🤣

@Soph2512 YAY!🎉🎉 congratulations, so excited for you, how many days till AF is due? I know the feeling, I was the exact same with DD and I will be the exact same with This time around I know it!

@Emilyadams98 AF was due Friday at 11DPO but today is 14 DPO ☺️☺️ with DD I had no anxiety at all! This one it’s through the roof 🙈🙈

That’s so exciting! Fingers crossed for a sticky bean and a healthy pregnancy for you 🤍, my tests come tomorrow 🫣🫣 I’ll be 9po tomorrow… not sure if I sure test or wait till 10dpo (I know I should probably wait but it’s gonna be so hard once they’re in the house!), I had twinges yesterday like little pains on my left side which is the same side I had cramps on on my ovulation day.. could have been the starts of implantation!

I also keep feeling abit sicky after eating meals, very early for symptoms but I’ve noticed the last 3 days after meals or after waking up I feel a little bit sicky

@Emilyadams98 i don’t think this is our time. I took another test this morning and it said not pregnant ☹️

Oh no 😞 I’m so sorry, how do you feel? Have you done any cheapie sticks to see line progression to double check?xx

@Emilyadams98 when I took it yesterday it said pregnant 1-2 weeks and then not pregnant today. I’m feeling pretty down if I’m honest but I guesss it’s one of those things xx

I caved and went out and got a clear blue 6 days early at 8DPO.. 100% a very very faint line after 3 minutes, don’t want to get excited but 😭 can’t get hold of any FRER until Friday off of Amazon as no where seems to hold them anymore!! And got some cheapie easy@home sticks coming tomorrow.

i got a 2 pack of 6 day early cb from the shops so will use the second tomorrow with fmu and keep updated!

Very hard to see as the quality of the image goes down when you post on here.. but can clearly see in person and on my photos!

Been having more little crampy twinges today too and feeling ever so slightly sick off an on

@Soph2512 sending love your way, I had the same happen to me in March, faint positives & positive 1-2 week digital, 3 days later I got a not pregnant 😔 it's tough xx

I’m sorry it must be super hard to experience that.. how did you get on with the doctors? Did they call you back? Any new symptoms?xx

@Emilyadams98 they did.. she first thought it was a false positive which it can’t be as I took 10 😂😂 then said maybe a false negative. But because I haven’t started bleeding she’s put im pregnant on the system and that I have to call up when I properly loose the baby.. I have pushed for blood tests though. .

Also I’m still getting positive tests left was today and right Friday morning

That’s ridiculous! They should just get you in for a blood test.. shouldn’t have to push for anything Jesus. Positive tests are a little reassuring! Fingers crossed for you. Still staring at photos of mine making sure it’s not an Evap xx

@Emilyadams98 the next blood test available is a week on Friday too. So I would assume I would know either way by then…
