Me and my partner have been trying now for about 2 years on and off , but this month we've decided to track and jist go for it ... I'm more positive this time around so if you would like to keep me company your welcome x

Aw @Amy95 I'm so glad you're feeling better. You've been giving me a real boost this month with your positive attitude, I'm glad you're feeling more yourself 🥰
Do you think you'll go to your GP if AF arrives this month? Or try with tracking for another month or so?

This cycle i really don't know. I'm refusing to order any more opk strips because I don't want to become obsessive with it again. I do have some clearblue digitals left so started that again this morning as if I'm starting a new cycle.. just to see if anything is happening with hormones.
But honestly I think I'm just going to do my best at not thinking about what's going on inside me and try to have lots of sex all month in the hope I do eventually ovulate!
I feel tired just thinking about that but I think it's the best option for us.

Have been having almost throbbing pains in my right ovary area the last few days but I've stopped even tracking anything in my app because I cba with the mental torture lol. Xxx

So yes my next step in our little journey is gp , my partner is going to go for a check on his sperm to see what's going on there , Im with you on the tiredness after work your totally drained and we been together nearly 5 years so we do have sex alot but obviously this month I felt like a teenager again 😂 I was also sore 🤦🏼‍♀️😂 well that crampy pain sounds good just have sex lay off the opk tests and just go with it 🤞 I think the pressure you put on yourself with opk tests , maybe try a different approach like your doing now , also we go on holiday in 3 weeks time and I'm supposed to be ovulating when were away and no way will I be tracking on hols I just wanna let my hair down and hope for the best 😂 so I'll be living my best life with a cocktail and no worries about poas 🙌 , TTC comes with so many hiccups and women do go through all sorts of emotions but that's the road I'm willing to take to get to where I want in my life , we all will get oue bfps one day 🥰 even if it's not this cycle were a cycle closer 🙌xx

Hi all,

I wanted to join this yesterday as did a CB test and could see a faint line, to me it looks like it has colour.

tried to get FRER this morning but after 5 pharmacies I can’t locate any so managed to get a pink die from Tesco just a cheapie and am even more confused.

the pink die I tested with this mornings urine and it showed a v faint line, ended up dropping it on the floor so it got covered in fluff 🫣 did another with urine from 3hr later and no line.

Shall I just try get FRER to be sure?

blue tests: left hand side (10pm urine)
right hand side (7am urine) (sorry for the fluff)

Eeek, there is definitely a line on that clear blue! Could you get an early detection test from Boots? What DPO are you and do you know the sensitivity of the Tesco tests?

LeopardLover · 30/05/2023 11:56

@dabs9 Haha I'm always the enabler 😁

@Amy95 Thank you! If you do head into the next cycle, chilled holiday fun sound perfect 🍹😉

dabs9 · 30/05/2023 11:57

@Amy95 aw amazing! When is your bf sperm check? I think it's good you're going to both get tested and see the gp, it gets the ball rolling for if you do need some help from fertility clinic and with all the waiting times between appointments you're better starting sooner rather than later!
And if a little baby decides to be conceived in the meantime then even better!

Honestly, me and my hub hit our 8 years together this month. We've gone through phases of sex 1-2x a month or almost every day for weeks 😅
TTC sex is so different tho, it's sometimes so forced and non passionate I just don't even want to do it regardless of if I've got my peak lol. But hoping we can dig deep and make it fun the next couple of months 🤣

Where are you heading on holiday? I'm so jealous. Are you going all inclusive? I have no holidays booked until September and it feels like a lifetime away!! Xx

dabs9 · 30/05/2023 11:59

@UKMummy2one hi! I can see something on the clearblue and the 7am one!
Could the one you did 3hrs later be more diluted and that's why it's not showing? I ordered some frer on amazon but have since seen people say the ones from there have been unreliable 🤔

UKMummy2one · 30/05/2023 12:11

@LeopardLover @dabs9

thanks ladies I feel a little up/down about it as super excited to potentially of conceived naturally without the fertility treatment we were supposed to re start 🥹

I believe I’m around 10dpo and I think the thing that’s getting me is I’m comparing to my first where I had a super faint line on FRER at 9DPO with her. (Now 3!) But I know every pregnancy is different.

symptom wise I’ve not got sore boobs or anything, which I did with my daughter. Had cramps on and off / bloating / nausea this morning / headaches and a couple of dizzy spells but not sure what think with these tests.

I thought that about the urine being more diluted. I should just be patient but it’s soo difficult 😣

going to try get some different brand ones later as the CB test wasn’t even 24hr ago so theoretically if it’s a vvf positive it should get darker after that point right?

the Tesco brand i just checked are 25/mIU so I guess that’s way to early to detect if im around 10/11DPO 😅

any recommendations other than FRER & CB early detection?
X

I’m having lots of discharge and some pinching but my temps dropped indicating af?

UKMummy2one · 30/05/2023 12:22

I had both these symptoms the cramps were like a tugging sensation when I coughed/sneezed/deep breath.

I ended up getting a positive at 9DPO with my daughter. Fingers crossed for you x

GeoSmed · 30/05/2023 12:27

Amy95 · 30/05/2023 11:11

I'm one of the ones who normally spot just before there af arrives Hun , try not to be so hard on yourself 🥰 it takes so many people TTC a long time to get a bfp , so just try to stay positive, I find trying not to worry about every symptom because the mind is very powerful and it will totally stress you out which can delay af ive had that so many months xx

100% back what@Amy95 said. It's enough stress and strain on the body to go through pregnancy, try not to add more load to it by thinking about it and trying to align everything to it. It's hard I know, but it is something that my partner and I are having to work on with the treatment, that it doesn't define our relationship, it just happens in the background. It will happen, it's just a case of now isn't right. Are their any lifestyle changes that you could perhaps make that could help your mental health, physical health and help with making a happy home for a baby? xx

Jumping on here 😁Bless your boyfriend he sounds so scared. Honestly the amount of men that worry about their sperm is crazy. They're so paranoid and embarrassed if it's not as expected, but it's totally common (like 50% of people going through FT is male factor!) not that he needs to know that stat mind! 😂

When are you going away Amy? And I love you woke your boyfriend up for sex 'its time' 😂brilliant. Maybe lots of holiday sex is just what you need!

GeoSmed · 30/05/2023 12:43

LeopardLover · 30/05/2023 11:25

We must manifest your twins!

I agree!! I don't wear much either. I need my brows done tbf 🤣 na, I'm at home today and tomorrow! Adolf woke me up at 5.45am singing "this is the way we wash our hands". I had no idea he knew that song 😅 I'm tired so glad to be WFH! 😴 Ain't no one got the energy for events haha.

Haha Adolf has the cutest butt! Actually he has my complexion but tans better, thankfully 😅

Can you imagine if they trigger 3? My husband said if we have triplets he's leaving with Mouse. twins is okay, triplets is making me hyperventilate! We'll see what they say tomorrow when we go back for another scan! I'm scared! I hate it when it gets close to ovulation as I know that theirs a possibility they'll have over stimmed and theirs too many for them to trigger. I get so nervous! But yes, manifest the twins, not the triplets please!

I have no clue about that song and what it is! The only hand washing song I know is happy birthday from covid haha! Defo wfh home vibes I can't deal with people at work on calls, so being in a room with them, I don't think I'd be able to hide my facial expressions of 'give a fuck'. Hope your new boss is settling in and you've had a call with her this morning.

Where are you going on holiday this year? @Amy95 has now made me want to book one!!!

He is worried because of the "what ifs" I've obviously sat down with him and said if there's a problem we will work together for a solution we're supposed to be a team so we will over come anything , 21stof June we're flying 🙌🙌🙌 you would of be wetting yourself if you was a fly on my bedroom wall , I was like Luke Luke come on it's time , "aim I'm sleeping " he was far from impressed but a girl's gotta do what needs to be done 🙈 plus we laughed and laughed in-between and after it , can't wait for all the sex and cocktails coming my way tbh 😂 sorry tmi xx

Sooo exciting! I feel very positive for you 🤣 that explains it re the Tesco tests.

I haven't tried them yet but people on this forum really rate these over FRER: https://www.boots.com/boots-5-day-early-pregnancy-2-tests-10271020

Unfortunately I have a pack of FRERs because I bought them before I realised they were rubbish these days!

Every pregnancy is different and 10DPO is still early! Fingers crossed!

dabs9 · 30/05/2023 12:51

@Amy95 bless him being nervous! I suppose it feels awkward for them having to produce a sample and then anxious about the result.
With my husband's low morphology he made me promise I wouldn't tell our friends or family about it 😔 bless him, I think it makes them feel so embarrassed which is awful, and like they're the problem if it's not 100% normal results.

Hahaha that's so funny, at least you both saw the funny side and could laugh it off together 😂

Uh so jealous!! Tenerife will be amazing weather in a few weeks time and a good holiday while ttc is exactly what is needed!
I've not booked a holiday yet but booked the time off work. I think we might try Italy in sept, I've never been and really want to!
Then November we have longer off work so want to try maybe South America (I've been avoiding for 2 years due to Zika virus but am at the point I don't see any reason not to go now 🤷‍♀️) xx

dabs9 · 30/05/2023 12:54

@GeoSmed @LeopardLover hahahaha not alone. I order and make my husband pick with me too. And he tells me things look "fine".
Ok great! Nobody ever wants to make an effort to look nice or fine 😂

@LeopardLover my boyfriend does this🤣 if I dress up nice he'll be like you look good or nice and I'm like excuse me, tell me I look hot because I know I do🤣 he always tells me I look good even when I look like crap🥲x

dabs9 · 30/05/2023 12:59

Has anyone ever done postal progesterone blood test? (Via Superdrug or similar).
I'm considering doing one this month just to know for definite I didn't ovulate but don't wanna waste my time and money if they're crap.

Yes 100% he explained to me the way he sees it and says it's basically his job to impregnate a woman 😂 omg that is so sad 🥺 I seriously cannot bloody wait 🥳 oooo that does sound lovely I've never been to Italy, my best advice I can give you is honestly if you ever plan something just do it , life's to short for I wish I done that when I had the chance plus you only live once , live it to the fullest do it do it 🙌🙌🙌xxx

@GeoSmed yeah higher BMI is always their answer lol. They've been massively unpredictable and irregular since around December time, I went through an extreme stressful period around October time for about 6 months so I personally think it's due to that.
I do worry about pcos but the Dr seems sure it isn't that so I'm trying to trust the pro hahah.

Have you done IVF in the past? I'm just really scared of having to do it. I really don't want to at all (as I'm sure most people don't) but I think it's going to be our only chance (husband has low sperm morphology so I think that is having a big impact on us not conceiving, regardless of the Drs saying it shouldn't impact natural conception. Have read so many articles giving conflicting information).

Omg 3! I hope no more start juicing up hahaha. At what point do they tell you there are too many dominant ones to proceed?
How do you find injecting yourself? I think I'd struggle. So silly as I inject people every day at work but I think it's totally different when it's doing it to yourself haha. Xx

So sorry @dabs9 I totally missed this! yeah they love to call people out on it and just palm you off with that being the answer for everything. I know that stress does have a huge bearing on your cycle. Have you considered just paying for a fertility health check up for you guys? Not to make you worry theirs something wrong, but more the opposite to give you some reassurance. For my Hubs and I, it was £500 which included all my fertility bloods and hormones, an internal ultrasound to check my ovaries, a count of my ovarian reserve, a sperm test for him, and an infection an STI screening. It was really helpful for us but it depends what you feel is going on. I think theirs an at home testing brand too called Hertility that you can do. Might be worth a google!

yeah not sure anyone does to be honest. I'm sorry to hear about your husband :-( IVF might not have to be the answer tho - IUI is really good for male factor. Might be worth looking at that, and it's wayyyyyyyyy cheaper like £1,200 p/round.

Oh god don't i'm terrified they might hahaha! I'll report back tomorrow. It's like 'inside the uterus' instead of inside the factory. I can make up some really elaborate stories too if you want! If you have more than 3 that are 13mm, it's game over. Usually trigger around the day 13, today is day 8, but it totally depends on size and your lining etc. And injecting - my husband does it, I can't cope with the thought of doing it myself! It must be really weird for you as you do it day to day. Did I read you're a midwife? If so, the most respsect in the world for you!!!
