Pull out while ovulating

Hoping for some advice , my last period was on the 22nd of march. Lasted around 5-6 days . I went away with my partner for the weekend of the 31st march . Had unprotected sex that Saturday morning and night and used the pull out method. Stupid of us both but we were drinking and had no condoms . We are both fully aware of the risk he knows I’ve been off the pill ( we use condoms usually) for the last few months. My cycles are usually 27-28 days and now I’m panicking that I was in peak ovulation time ?! Has anyone been in this situation? Neither of us know what to think and if we are stressing for no reason .

Some people also only use the pull out method as contraception! My concern was based around the fact we risked it not knowing at the time it was peak for ovulation or we wouldn’t have cared!

It isn't really contraception and I certainly wouldn't do it when drunk when there is less self control.

MK85 · 10/04/2023 16:34

Pull out method isn't effective since his body fluid can contain sperm

This is a page for advice not for your shitty opinions or comments ! I have children and don’t need anymore excitement thankyou hun , if you’re not going to be say anything positive perhaps you should take your opinions elsewhere . Under no circumstances does me asking for advice mean it’s ok for u to assume anything . The pure cheek of people on here thinking it’s okay to make accusations when majority of grown men and woman have been in the same situation where they have made a mistake

Same mistake twice in a day? Surely you cant be surprised if people are a little judgey? Anyway I guess you must be at the point you can reliably test.

Sorry if you felt my post was aimed at you. It was aimed at someone suggesting the morning after pill when clearly the window had passed. I've certainly made mistakes myself in the past, as I'm sure many people have. Hopefully you'll be okay!

Menmy3 · 10/04/2023 16:54

yes I have, he’s called Frankie 🤣 heavily advise the morning after pill x x x

Agreed , having to learn the hard way not to be so irresponsible

No not at all , I don’t even mind someone being a bit straight up it was just some others making accusations and unnecessary comments . I’ve owned up to being silly that’s just not good enough for some but I defo didn’t take what you said as offensive x

The mistake was doing it around peak ovulation not the actual sex or pull out method .

It’s always possible, but less likely you’d get pregnant. We’ve been using pull out method for last year, but in full acceptance that we’d be ok with a pregnancy

xkayliex · 15/04/2023 08:10

we've been going through the same stuff... i had my last period on march 22nd and had sex april 4th i think 1 day before ovulation im not sure because i have irregular periods so im not sure but ye i did have unprotected sex and i used the pull out method because i was under the influence... since i have a uti i pee alot and have lower stomach pain so i think its attached to the uti so i wouldn't call it a sign... as much as how i dont wanna have a baby with this boy im hoping for the best... my period is due on the 17th-22nd (my opinion since im irregular)... my cervix is lower down goes up sometimes but is mostly down... haven't seen anything changed in my body only that im tired and eating alot and my discharge kinda smells like blood but im not sure but i'll keep you updated and to let you know...

In the nicest way possible, create your own thread.

Hey hun, I still keep an eye on this thread so you’re more than welcome to stick around and keep each other updated . I’m really not sure what to think I’ve had cramps all week starting Monday and fuller feeling boobs . Last night I was convinced I’d get a period early because of the cramping but nothing yet and I’m roughly 12dpo . I also get uti’s all the time so the frequent peeing I’m not sure about as I usually do that leading up to my period anyway . I’m going to keep waiting my cycle is classed as regular but can be anywhere between 25 days and 29 so I’m trying to just wait it out and see if AF arrives and if not by Wednesday or Thursday I’ll test x

Thank you! the app says either tomorrow or the 22nd ill receive my period. if i havent gotten my period tomorrow, i'll take a pregnancy test but im really scared im just 16 and i havent told my partner about whats going on because he will always reassure me that he didnt cum in me but because of pre cum and i was ovulating it has me worrying day by day... i normally take raw garlic to make my period come faster i also have no discharge at all unless i push a finger in to check my cervix which i do everyday but i pray to go we both get our periods :) spreading period love!

xkayliex · 17/04/2023 13:44

hey! i think my period is finally here... i woke up with spotting then it stopped then i put on a pad incase because i have school then i saw blood coming slowly... light pink and watery at first now dark red and watery but kinda thick :)

B0g · 17/04/2023 14:31

@xkayliex you need to use contraception. There’s a range of options, easily accessed, just go to your doctor or GUM clinic. You’ll need STD tests, too. Being drunk and having unprotected sex at 16 will have disastrous consequences.

TallulahBetty · 17/04/2023 14:36

CONTRACEPTION IS FREEEEEEEEEE

....And a lot more reliable than this 'method' that you keep 'accidentally' using. It's 2023, people - learn some basic biology.

Sorry dont want to add fear. But monitor how many days your cycle last. I got pregnant with DS... with exactly what you described. Missed my period the following month!

Scalottia · 17/04/2023 15:02

Fuck's sake, why would you even risk it. Horse has bolted now. If you know it's not contraception, why do it...twice? You only have yourselves to blame. Next time be more organised.

Ttcmumma · 17/04/2023 15:10

@Scalottia how nasty of you, didn't realise it's you raising this potential baby 🤔

Scalottia · 17/04/2023 15:22

Not nasty, I just wouldn't be stupid enough to use the pull-out method as contraception, so there wouldn't be any baby to raise. Not even a relevant comment @Ttcmumma.

It's 2023, presumably people know how babies are made. So if you don't want one, why take the risk. It isn't that difficult.

Ttcmumma · 17/04/2023 15:25

@Scalottia might not be stupid but definitely a bully

I agree. I was no angel at 16 myself, but I never had unprotected sex. Please do get proper contraception in place. I have a daughter myself (nowhere near 16) but as a mother, I'd be horrified if my daughter was doing this and would want her to speak with me about proper contraception. If you have a mother (I don't like to assume) then that might also be worth considering.

AllOfThemWitches · 17/04/2023 17:55

Oh for fuck's sake, you ain't getting pregnant without any sperm people. Imagine if you posted that you were trying to conceive using the pull out method, you'd get equally judgemental comments.

issyb8 · 17/04/2023 18:46

@Scalottia what part of your comment is useful to anyone here? You just looking for posts to join and be rude ? In regards to me I know I made a stupid mistake I didn’t actually care I just hadn’t planned it and defo not around ovulation but either way I’d accept the outcome. If someone acknowledges a mistake what do you gain from pointing out that they should have known better ? I’d really love to know what you gain from that? Did it make you feel better letting me know that? I can handle it as i personally don’t care for people that go out there way to be rude than nice but there’s a 16 year old who on here that doesn’t need to receive those judgements! Good for you for never making a mistake in life because if you had you’d be a huge hypocrite regardless if it was the same one as us or not! Have a good day hun x
