Hi anyone else in the dreaded waiting weeks?

Im having a crazy cycle this month so I think I’m 6 DPO but could be 2 DPO as I had 2 LH surges on my Premom OPKs. Trying to not get my hopes up!

Symptoms: back ache, lower belly cramps with aching around upper thighs, sore and full breasts, fatigue.

Not due AF till next Sunday so I have a wait to go!

@GH9687 that’s a positive!! Especially if you had it on two tests. Congratulations!!! You may be a little further than you think too! 8 DPO is v early for a clear positive

Hi @Tophy124 I was just worried as it was creamy rather than egg white

@Tophy124 I got my first peak LH on the 2nd, so maybe I'm 10/11 dpo 😬 fingers crossed they progress!

@Tryingtoconceivenumber2 good to know it's not all in my head if you can both also spot it!

@GH9687 I can see lines on both of those! Congratulations🤍🤍 we have had a few giggles during this cycle, at one point DH asked whether there was any evidence of increased chances by being hung upside down by your ankles and he was more than willing to try😂

I think there should be a TTC for dummies guide as I could have really used it to be honest😂 I didn't know anything about BBT, differences in CM or safe lubes🤦🏽‍♀️ and I thought I was prepared lol! Every day is a learning day😊

@Tryingtoconceivenumber2 also, I saw your messages about the vivid dreams. I've also been having the craziest dreams for the last few nights. Hopefully this will be your lucky cycle too!

@KIWI2023 😂😂😂

Don't worry I felt the same! I have just stuck with the ovulation tests and it feels like they took long enough to get my head around. I used them in December which was cycle 1, but I found they just caused lots of pressure and I was so disappointed when we didn't get our Christmas miracle, but lots of people don't conceive in cycle 1. Cycle 2 when we got pregnant I didn't track anything or use any fertility lube, I'd found the tracking made everything feel more pressurised. I have ovulation tracked this cycle but only as I was worried I wouldn't ovulate for a while! We did also use the pre seed lube, but only because I knew the normal lube wasn't recommended when TTC!

Just do what you find makes you most relaxed and happy with your approach. It might be that you track 1 month and not the next!

Hi, hope you don't mind me jumping in!

I'm 8dpo, ttc #1. On first cycle as having been on the coil or implant for the last 10+ years I've no idea what's considered normal in terms of my period 😐

I have no symptoms what so ever, due af mothers day and PM says to test Friday at 12dpo. Just really impatient, friends seem to be getting pregnant on the first try but I know that probs won't be the case!

Report
GH9687 · 13/03/2023 20:52

@Rabnes I also felt like everyone else got pregnant on first try. I think it's important to remember that for everyone who gets pregnant on first go and shouts it from the rooftops, there 10 others that don't. It's completely normal for it to take longer than the first cycle.

Fingers crossed you are one of those lucky ones but if not, it doesn't mean it won't happen.

I think hope is what keeps us all going on the TTC journey

@GH9687 thank god it's not just me!😂😂

@Rabnes fingers crossed for you! Please keep us updated over the next few days!

Two of my besties are currently full term, 1 is 40 weeks and fell on their first try and the other is 37 weeks and it was a complete accident. I think being on a forum like this normalises that most couples do not fall in cycle 1. I suppose the reason why I personally thought most people found it really easy to conceive is most people don't discuss TTC in real life. I feel it's abit of a taboo subject but I really wish it was more normalised.

The only time I feel sane at the moment is when I'm on these threads with you lovely lot 😊

@Pregas honestly mine is creamy too! It’s very rare I get actual EWCM. I never drink enough water so probably only have myself to blame! I did get pregnant in 2020 using preseed and so will switch from conceive plus to preseed if no luck soon! I don’t feel pregnant this month as my symptoms have all faded and feel like AF is coming. I’m due AF on Mother’s Day too!

@KIWI2023 Those people are referred to as unicorns on Reddit TRC threads, as it’s really not the norm! Most couples need to at least try for a few months and some need a year or so. A lot of couples need surgery or IVF too! My mother needed clomid to have me but she wouldn’t have dreamed of saying she had fertility issues as she felt lucky to have 3 babies and so wouldn’t have discussed it. My gran had two stillborn babies and many other MCs before and inbetween her children and she also wouldn’t have said she had fertility issues! So a lot of misinformation can be around the language used too and how much people share I think and how people perceive their own journeys to conception. MANY women I know have had losses but only bring them up when others are discussing theirs. From the outside you’d just think oh Jane had 2 children!

@Tophy124 does it being creamy stop you getting pregnant?

Report
Tophy124 · 13/03/2023 21:27

@Pregas i don’t believe so! If you google it there are 4 levels and types of CM and creamy is level 3 and so it’s the second most fertile one. Usually that happens a few days before the EWCM

KIWI2023 · 13/03/2023 21:33

@Tophy124 I completely get that, I just wish it was something spoken about more freely and maybe we wouldn't all feel so lonely in this journey in real life. Grateful to be here on this thread though😊

@Pregas My CM is usually creamy too 🤷🏽‍♀️ from what I can gather, EWCM just makes it slightly easier for the sperm to move to where they need to be as there is less friction. Doesn't stop you getting pregnant without though. Never thought I'd be discussing my CM on the internet😂

Hi ladies, sorry to jump in, I'm looking for some emotional support, wise words, positivity and most of all baby dust! Currently ttc1. Had one miscarriage few years back and haven't been able to fall pregnant since. I suffer from PCOS so I don't ovulate often, though I do get a bleed every 27-33 days. I thought I had ovulated on the 4th of this month as I thought I had EWCM, but now I'm not so sure as that would put me at about 9DPO and i have no symptoms! Could I post a pic of what I thought was my EWCM? I'd like to get your advice! TIA xxx

@KIWI2023 me too.

the worst thing is the 2 week wait and things like this replaying in your head all day.

@GH9687 welcome! Sorry to hear about your MC too but this gives me hope! I'm in the same boat ttc after MC, everything crossed for you!

@KIWI2023 same, my LH peak is rapid too, last time I caught I think the end of it, this time the beginning and much stronger! Temp is up this morning so we shall see if it stays up! It doesn't help that wfh makes my wake up time less consistent! Car is being kept in the garage and costing a small fortune but it needs fixed so just has to be done! 😂

@Rabnes it's so frustrating waiting for your hormones to balance out after coming off contraceptives, like everyone says not everyone gets pregnant quickly, but literally no one discusses it! In real life anyway! Which is why places like this are so helpful!

It's just like @Tophy124 says no one discusses it, I know my MIL and my gran have both had MC but never heard it from them! But then I've not told anyone about my MC either! So.... I think if someone was to talk to me about their situation I'd tell them but until then I won't be openly discussing it in the real world 😂

I did ask my folks how long it took them to conceive my sister their dd2, and they said 10 months, I was 1.5 at the time... and dad said mum cried at every BFN! Then she got pregnant with my brother when she was still breastfeeding 3 months after my sister was born 😂 when they obv weren't trying and jeez I'm impressed at her wanting him anywhere near her at that point!!!
