Sorry to hear it @Mummy1502

@RegardingPersephone What test are you using? You'd generally expect more than a very faint line at 12dpo on a FRER but other tests are not so sensitive.

1dpo here today, very sore boobs which doesn't normally happen so with that and the really dark ovulation test I'm hoping that it was a good, strong ovulation, if such a thing exists haha. We managed to DTD on O-3, O-1 and ovulation day itself so hoping that has us covered!

RegardingPersephone · 18/03/2023 10:16

@Mummy1502 I'm sorry to hear it šŸ˜”

@cavebaby just internet cheapies as I'm trying not to spend thousands one tests. Clearblue must make a fortune! Is frer the first response ones? Are they the best?

Fingers crossed for you!

cavebaby · 18/03/2023 10:29

@RegardingPersephone FRER are the First Response Early Result and are among the most sensitive and can pick up the pregnancy hormones at less than 10mIU. Other tests can be much less sensitive and only detect a positive at around 25mIU. So it's worth checking yours to see how sensitive they are. It will be shown as mIU or mIU/mL.

HannahLouD · 18/03/2023 10:31

@Mummy1502 ugh I'm sorry that's so annoying... Don't give up yet? But I know how you feel, you'd expect a bit of a line on a frer I guess...

@RegardingPersephone my ics were still faint at 12dpo (pink though and the line was there) my frers at that point were obvious. (This was last month - ended in chemical). If you can, maybe try a more expensive test?

@cavebaby exciting! Fingers crossed for you and I hope the tww goes quickly!!

I think I'm due to o today... Peak was yesterday and had my usual temp drop this morning... Hopefully I'll see a temp rise tomorrow or Monday to confirm šŸ¤ždtd 5, 4 and 3 days before, skipped a day, dtd last night and will again today so I too am hopeful that's covered it šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚ ngl even I could do with a night off now šŸ™ˆ

Mummy1502 · 18/03/2023 14:14

Thanks ladies, tbf I havnt user a FRER as can’t get my hands on any so it was a clearblue early which is still 10mlu, would expect to maybe see something even a faint line at 11dpo? This is why I hate the false positives, gives you that little bit of hope then gone, do you think you only get the lines once implanted as my doctor seems to think hcg starts to produce once the egg is fertilised, if that is the case then I feel like mine are fertilised but just can’t implant? I think I need to pay for a private scan just to check my uterus etc as I had retained products after we lost the 7 week little bean which eventually did come away on it’s own x

RegardingPersephone · 18/03/2023 22:01

Couldn't find a frer so got a boots early detection and held my wee for four hours (torture!). No lines... Assuming it's a no for me this month and the first line was a fluke or shadow. We will see.

Mummy1502 · 19/03/2023 05:43

@RegardingPersephone i think there must be a shortage atm x

Mummy1502 · 19/03/2023 06:05

Update from me, I need to get hold of some FRER, had the worst pains in my lower right side last night, have felt all my niggles in my right since ovulation, half expected to see af this morning, if my cycles have gone back to normal I should be due af tomorrow but could be thrown off a bit from cp last month, however these pains I had yesterday felt the exact same as last month when I had to take myself to bed thinking I was ill and threw up but now I think it could be the pains that make me feel like that, woke up this morning and pain is gone? I have no idea what my body is doing but I wish it would just grow a little sticky bean, how is everyone doing? X

Hi guys 😊

@RegardingPersephone I'm sorry... That really sucks :( but as everyone says, you're not out until af shows! šŸ¤ž I've attached a pic of my boots early detection test from 12dpo from last month. But everyone's different and everyone's line strength is different at different times depending on when you implanted... So I guess it means nothing really, but thought I'd share just in case you were interested šŸ˜… I do really rate those tests... Those and frers seemed to be most reliable for me personally. Got my fingers crossed your line will come! šŸ¤ž

@Mummy1502 sorry you're having such a tough time with things :( it all sounds really stressful. I've got my fingers crossed that your pains etc are a good sign! šŸ¤žIf you can't get any frers, like I said, I do personally trust the boots early detection ones too! They're pink dye as well which is always a bonus! Let us know how you get one šŸ¤ž

As for me, I'm ok! I think I'm 1dpo today šŸ˜…šŸ˜‚ so let the tww (10 day wait šŸ˜…šŸ¤¦šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø) begin! šŸ˜©šŸ¤žx

Anyone else in tww?
cavebaby · 19/03/2023 08:10

@HannahLouD I'm 2dpo so we can be cycle buddies. I'll tell myself it's a two week wait but I'll definitely be eying up the tests by this time next week 🤣

HannahLouD · 19/03/2023 08:20

@cavebaby ah yayy!! Amazing to have someone in pretty much the same position! 😊
Ahaha I know right... After my cp last month I said I wasn't going to test early, but all that has gone out the window and I already know I'll be testing at 10dpo šŸ˜…šŸ˜‚ that's when I got my first proper positive last month (perhaps on 9dpo but it was a vvvvfl). Let's be honest there's no way I'm waiting any later than that šŸ¤¦šŸ»ā€ā™€ļøšŸ™ˆšŸ˜‚

RegardingPersephone · 19/03/2023 11:01

Well I'm out this month. AF has made an arrival and on mother's day... Seems like a cruel twist of irony! Trying to shake off the sadness to perk up and go out to celebrate my friend being engaged.

Mummy1502 · 19/03/2023 11:17

Af arrived for me ladies I’m out, on Mother’s Day too! Very cruel, I’m going to be taking time away from mumsnet, ovulation testing and early testing etc, my next plan is to pay for a private scan to look at my uterus as I just feel something is wrong since the retained products, good luck to you all x

OP posts:
HannahLouD · 19/03/2023 11:42

@Mummy1502 @RegardingPersephone I'm so sorry this has happened for you both, especially on Mother's day! :(
I hope you both take some time to yourselves and to grieve if need be.
I've got everything crossed for you both that it happens for you very, very soon! ā¤ļøx

cavebaby · 19/03/2023 11:59

So sorry @Mummy1502 and @RegardingPersephone, a really terrible day for it. Look after yourselves x

Mummy1502 · 23/03/2023 09:06

Hi ladies update from me, not sure what’s going on, I started bleeding Mother’s Day and bled for 2 days then it completely stopped, literally went from red blood to not even a spec of anything, my normal periods are 4/5 days looking back on my flo app, I started what I can only describe as spotting last night the tiniest amounts of light brown/creamy discharge, have put a pad in just to monitor, this is very unusual for me and has never happened before, I’m thinking something is wrong, I have a scan today to see what’s going on and to see if I do still have retained products which is stopping little beans from sticking, will update you all after scan today, how is everyone? X

OP posts:
Mummy1502 · 23/03/2023 12:10

Scan went well, no retained products, they couldn’t see my ovaries properly so have to go back for another scan in a couple of weeks, waiting game now I spose x

OP posts:
HannahLouD · 23/03/2023 12:21

@Mummy1502 so glad it went well!! Fingers and toes crossed for a more successful month this time round for you! šŸ¤ž

All ok here... 5dpo so just impatiently waiting for 10dpo to come round so I can start being a poas addict again!
Already telling myself I'm out this month as cm has completely dried up which didn't happen last month. We shall see I guess! x

Mummy1502 · 23/03/2023 12:26

@HannahLouD Thankyou I’m not doing any ovulation tests this month just trying to go with the flow, I’m excited for you x

Mummy1502 · 23/03/2023 12:26

@HannahLouD Thankyou I’m not doing any ovulation tests this month just trying to go with the flow, I’m excited for you x

@Mummy1502 Totally fair enough - I think I'll be the same if there's no luck this month... I'm basically out of them anyway so would save some money not having to order more šŸ˜…
Ah thank you! šŸ¤ž Not getting my hopes up though due to my lack of cm now and also I'm worried we didn't dtd enough. Everyone's been talking about the SMEP and how that's worked for them or that they're trying it but we only dtd 4 days before, 3 days before, day before and day of o... probably should have done it the day after too. My partner even suggested we did and I said not to worry as I was sure we had it covered šŸ¤¦ā€ā™€ļøšŸ˜‚x

Mummy1502 · 23/03/2023 12:47

What’s smep? Yea I don’t think we covered the 2 days after last month either so will try that this month although I’m not gonna know when I’m ovulating šŸ˜‚ x

OP posts:
cavebaby · 23/03/2023 17:20

@HannahLouD The days before are much more important so I wouldn't worry. The sperm can survive a relatively long period of days before ovulation whereas the egg can only be fertilised up to a smaller number of hours after ovulation.

HannahLouD · 23/03/2023 17:41

@cave
@cavebaby I hope so! But I honestly don't think this month is going to be my month... I'm only 5dpo but I'm dry as a bone down there and last month I had lots of creamy cm right after ovulation... From what I've read being dry after o at any point isn't really a good sign. Hyping myself up for a bfn already šŸ™„šŸ¤¦šŸ»ā€ā™€ļøšŸ™ˆ
