Just got this line at 10DPO. Afternoon urine after feeling rough all day. This is my first time TTC and my second cycle. I don't want to get hubbys hopes up yet. Should I wait a few more days? Ahhhh! No one knows we're TTC any advice would keep me calm! 💕

Congrats! 🥰 They look like really good lines! I had a chemical in December but just got another BFP today, 10dpo. I haven't done a FRER yet but I have some arriving tomorrow. I'm quite scared of another chemical though. Here are my cheapie lines today (yes..I tested 3 times!! 🙈)

Omg!

Hi @SillyOldBear3 they look great!!! Fingers crossed for you! When did you find out you were having a chemical last time? That's my biggest fear at the moment but my lines are good!

@SillyOldBear3 also the cheapies hardly showed me at 10dpo. I had to reaaaally look!! Get weeing on that FRER!! Can't wait to see a nice pink line for you!

Is this a thing now? Just spending money on countless tests?

Honestly, you've had a positive test. Congratulations. You really don't need to keep testing daily , there is literally no point

Perhaps for you there’s no point, but for many women, especially those having had recurring miscarriage, testing for reassurance does help to allay the anxiety.

katherine123x · 09/02/2023 07:55

@OldTrot thank you for your input and I appreciate what you are saying but for some it's a lot easier said than done.

@OldTrot I don't think that's a particularly helpful comment, especially as some people on this thread have discussed previous losses and the anxiety this brings. I sincerely hope you have not experienced this yourself, but how people choose to spend their money for reassurance is none of your business. Sometimes getting a positive test (especially when it's faint) is not a guarantee and there is "literally" a point in checking their progression.

BoyMamaChloe · 09/02/2023 08:11

@SillyOldBear3 those lines are good for 10dpo! Mine was much lighter than that and now I've got the lovely blazing positives 🥰 congratulations!

OldTrot · 09/02/2023 09:06

My comment is aimed at the op and the op alone - who has not experienced a previous loss that she states

This is anxiety and it'll be a long 9 months if you test multiple times a day. It would be more productive to get help for the source of the anxiety rather than just waste money on tests.

That's the only sensible advice.

katherine123x · 09/02/2023 09:10

@OldTrot why even say anything?
As you state I haven't stated any previous losses, how do you know if I have or haven't? ...
I have done a few tests, so what!
Thanks for bringing misery to my morning! Please don't comment on my thread again.

@OldTrot it's exciting bugger off.

op this is darker than my line at 10DPO, she's now 15 months. I loved testing and seeing the lines get darker. There's no harm in it fgs. Congratulations!x

@OldTrot what an old fun sponge you are.

How the hell this effects your life, I really don't know.

Shouts volumes about the person you are!

Go away!

Thatcatisdrivingmenuts · 09/02/2023 09:29

@katherine123x

My dd was conceived within weeks of a missed miscarriage.

OldTrot · 09/02/2023 09:52

@badgergirly Grin I'm not a fun sponge! Merely commented on a thread on an OPEN forum about how bonkers it is to repeatedly test, day in, day out. Under the circumstances op describes, no medical professional would advise it either

I mean, what do you do if the line is ever so slightly lighter on day 92?!

But I'll leave you to it, of course. I meant no offence. Just a total waste of mental energy and cash

SillyOldBear3 · 09/02/2023 10:08

@katherine123x thank you! This morning's cheapie was darker so I'm remaining cautiously optimistic!

I found out about the chemical at exactly 5 weeks when I started bleeding and tested. I didn't test for around 5 days before the chemical though, so in all honesty the pregnancy probably failed very soon after implantation and I just didn't find out about it.

I wouldn't stress about it, you're pregnant and although some pregnancies do fail, the majority that reach implantation don't! I try to keep that in mind 🙂 wishing you lots of luck! ✨

SillyOldBear3 · 09/02/2023 10:10

@BoyMamaChloe thanks you, that's reassuring! Congrats on your pregnancy! ❤️ How far along are you?

katherine123x · 09/02/2023 10:13

Thanks @SillyOldBear3 for the reassurance!! You ladies are the best 💗

@katherine123x , ignore OldTwat, clearly forgets that for some people TTC is not a fucking breeze!!
Please share your line progressions with us! It’s really exciting, I love seeing BFPs and sharing the excitement! And for some people who have seen the lines fade it give us so much hope 🥰

blebbleb · 09/02/2023 11:22

I've been testing lots too. I'm trying to keep it to 1 first response a day though as they are quite pricey. The cheap ones aren't showing a positive for me yet.

katherine123x · 09/02/2023 11:30

@ttcat37 thank you. Much to some people's disgust ... here's my progression today!! 🤞🏻🙌🏼 it's noticeably darker!! Some more symptoms today too!!

@Summer2424 thank you!

No more tests for me. I have referred to local midwives!

Good luck to everyone on your baby journey 🌟
