fresh thread fresh cycle for me, CD1 of cycle 17 😭 I’m having one more throw of the dice this cycle then having a month off. My sister gets married in Rhodes in October so I think if I’ve worked out correctly, to not be later than 36weeks and have a baby no younger than 2wks old it’s only one cycle to miss. If I get pregnant and get that far, I know I’ll be induced around 39wks so time frame off trying is short.
planning to have private fertility investigations in the new year also 👍 I had a good cry in the shower this morning. Just fed up. I really hadn’t anticipated it would take this long after it previously being so bloody easy

@ChloeN I’m ok babe how are u doing? 💖💖 I’m just DTD every other day & seeing what happens, I want to enjoy the festivities without all the stress 😅😂

@Mummyme87 Sometimes a good cry is required 🤍 I’ve been in that position many times, this journey isn’t easy… and when it happens quickly before, you just assume it will again, and when it takes time it really crushes u 💖
I’m going to wait until the new year to do anything myself I’m just trying to enjoy Christmas 💖💖💖

Hello ladies, thanks for creating a new thread!

I am also trying to play it cool this month. I've had blood tests done on the nhs again (all fine) and have the private blood tests and scan booked for tomorrow. DH has two semen analysis's over the next 7 days (one private and one nhs) so we're a bit limited on when we can dtd 😂

AF is due right on Christmas, so I'm trying not to focus on actually ttc this cycle in an attempt to avoid disappointment!

Definitely fine to have a little cry @Mummyme87. I've definitely been there and I honestly don't think I could face this journey again. Private fertility investigations on the month/s your avoiding ttc sounds like a good idea, and it might be comforting to have some answers one way or the other.

Slightly off topic, but how on earth do you keep ttc "sexy"? We've been trying for 2 years now, and all romance has gone way out of the window! I don't know if that's normal, or how to get it back?!

All the testing and tracking vitamins and sperm friendly lubricant... it's all so functional!

@FieldView I think that’s normal tbh, we weren’t trying as long as you and I was so fed up with it, especially the cycles when we tried everyday I just was not in the mood🤣

@FieldView we’ve not used the fertility lubes this cycle we’ve just DTD every 2nd day and tried to be more spontaneous … sex has been back to pre TTC purely because we’re not being as regimented.
I think stopping to use fertility lube etc kills the mood a bit 😂😂 (nice underwear I’ve found also helps 😂😅)

Would love to join this thread if it's OK. AF is due on Christmas day, so trying not to test until then. Anyone in a similar timescale? So no drinking in all christmas gatherings!

It has been quiet! Hopefully that means we're all having a nice relaxing month concentrating on Christmas!

AF due on 28th Dec for me. Should have been Christmas Day, but ovulation testing has picked up late ovulation for some reason. I will definitely be having a couple of glasses of fizz over Christmas though (assuming no bfp beforehand)!

I got my BFP yesterday at 12DPO, had a CP last cycle so very cautious and not really thinking it's real yet.

So for me at the moment there is no drinking Christmas Day... we now have the added stress of trying to make fake alcohol look like the real deal..

I also have a work Christmas thing on Friday I can't get out it as it's in work time, that I've been throwing the phrase "baby Guinness" around for for weeks 🙈 no idea how I'm going to deal with that!!
It's easier when you're with your OH they can order for you or sneakily drink out of your drink... but on my own is going to be difficult without raising suspicion and it's so so so early I really don't want anyone to cotton on.

Congrats @Havanalily1806 !! That's amazing. Just tell people you had too much to drink the night before and still have a hangover so cant take any more alcohol

The good thing about the TWW in December is that there are so many things to distract you from!

Can I join you all? Im CD 14 and in the middle of 'sex week' as we like to call it 😂Trying to do SMEP but I find it hard to do all the OPks around work so might miss my peak!
The whole not drinking around xmas is a nightmare, I was pg at Xmas 2 years ago and its so stressful thinking of original excuses!

Sex week, I love it

I always use the OPKs with my first wee, this way it's always the same condition and you can really tell the peak from the progression.

I love OPKs, its the guessing that I find most stressful. We only have to focus on the 'sex week' :D and be more causal the rest of the month.

CD10 now. In our sex week. Have DTD once so far, will push for as much as I can tolerate 😂😂
haven’t done an opk. Will probably do one today during the day.

@Kayycatt that's a good plan, I hadn't thought about them being the same conditions. I thought you had to do it early pm but I'm just doing the evening now. Started getting a darker line yesterday so getting close now 😬

Actually, they don't recommend using the first wee in the morning with the easy@home ones as they say you normally surge in late morning/early afternoon. But they do recommend that with the CB opk.
I just don't trust myself enough that if I take it any later, I can't be sure that it would be the same concentration and then I would just get confused about it all. If the line looks like it is getting close in the morning, then I test again in the afternoon to confirm!

I’m CD11, had a fairly dark OPK this morning and didn’t get round to testing again until 8pm and it was the same. Not sure if I’ve missed the positive or it hasn’t happened. I usually get a positive CD12 so hoping that will happen this time too

Hi everyone! I hope it's okay to join. I'm TTC baby number 1, had a miscarriage in March, a chemical a few months later but nothing my otherwise - this is my 13th cycle of TTC

I'm due to ovulate tomorrow according to Flo, haven't managed to DTD since Wednesday as my DP has been away but he's back tomorrow so fingers crossed for this cycle!
