If you've had an unexpected pregnancy while using condoms, did you know that there had been a problem with the condom? Is it possible to get pregnant without anything going wrong (like split or condom coming off or some penetrative foreplay)?
I know condoms come out as pretty unreliable contraceptives, but I've always assumed that if there's no sign of a problem then there's no way sperm can have got through.
My periods are a bit variable (24-30 days) but I'm now 6 days later than normal and 2 days later than I've ever been. I've just had a negative from a pretty out-of-date pregnancy test left over from when I was TTC a few years ago. I'm mid-30s so a bit young to expect periods to start going a bit more variable. I'm wondering if I should be buying a new test or if it's pretty impossible to get pregnant if there hasn't been a problem with the condom.
Has anyone got pregnant while using condoms with no sign of a problem with the condom?
