What does implantation pain feel like?

Hi, I'm about 6dpo today. I've been getting an achy pain in my lower abdomen on the left side all evening. Sort of pinching feeling at times. Feeling a bit queasy too. Hoping it's implantation pain🙂

First pregnancy, didn't feel it. Second pregnancy, was very painful, on and off, for about 3 days.

Felt like pinches / needle stabbing type pain then the next day like I’d pulled a muscle in my stomach. Not like period cramps, but more like the way your legs ache after you’ve been on your feet all day? If that makes sense 🤣

Crampy, like premenstrual pains, that for me lasted a few days. But over three pregnancies I only experienced it in the second. Good luck to you, when are you planning to test?

I don't know, tbh. I never experienced it in three pregnancies. I hope that's what it is for you, OP and all goes well.

Hi, I don't usually post on forums but you are roughly in the same boat (I think).

I had the nexplanon implant removed on 25th August 2022. The clinic advised within a few days I may experience a withdrawal bleed but can become fertile straight away. The period should come just how it was pre implant.

It's over 4 weeks since then and I've had no withdrawal or period. I had swollen and tender breasts for a few days which stopped roughly 7/8 days ago. Could this have been ovulation?

These last couple of days I've had mild cramping on the left and mid lower abdomen. I can't say I've taken much notice before so couldnt say if I've experienced implantation cramps. I've only ever had 1 pregnancy with an implementation bleed and haven't seen any of this. I have taken pregnancy tests all of which are negative.

I have no idea where I am in my cycle. I don't tend to use ovulation kits. Am I just symptom spotting? Could this be implantation cramping? Anyone experienced this before? I'm already impatient 😩

Thanks all. The pain was mild. It's gone today. Feeling bloated for the last 2 or 3 days too.

3days late period.... fingers crossed... Hope to test positive

@MrsAl1 Still getting a sort of pinching and aching feeling in my lower abdomen again today which comes and goes. Mild waves of nausea too. Hoping they are positive signs. AF is due 2nd Oct according to my tracking app.

@maryd84 I will try and hold out until Thursday time. Just wait to see if I get any symptoms or af. That would make it the 5th week. Please keep us updated as we would love to know the outcome.

@MrsAl1 hi, no I haven't tested yet. I think I will test in the morning with fmu. Feeling a bit hopeful as my breasts were sore today. Kind of a stingy pain and sensitive nipples. Reminds me of how my breasts felt when I was pregnant with my son.

The cramps I have had was around the lower abdomen mostly on the left and a bit in the lower middle.
Today my breasts have been a bit tender. Not around the nipples but we will see.

I held off today as I was going to chance it. The tenderness seems to have eased off but yesterday and today I'm getting clear discharge sorry if tmi.
This is not something I have experienced before.

I have no idea where my cycle is at so still plan on testing on Thursday if no af shows up.

Sharp stabbing pain - on an off just for one evening.

Bfn for me this morning. It's still early though. Period not due until the 2nd Oct. Will test again in a few days🤞

@maryd84 ooh we're in the same place! Period due on Sunday, bfn this morning, even tho I'm only 8dpo. But I'm sure I had such weird pain yesterday, low down, left side. Altho absolutely nothing today.

I could convince myself I feel a bit sick, but I manage to convince myself every month and haven't been yet, so don't even trust myself!

Does anyone know how long after implantation it will show on a test? So if I've had what I'm thinking is implantation pain (altho no bleeding), how long will it take to show on a test?

I've got a frer and ic, don't want to waste the one frer!

@MarmaRell78 I personally had pain and spotting on Saturday and tested positive faintly on Wednesday. However, I think it all depends on when conception occurred too. An embryo that implants at 6 days might produce less hcg than an embryo that implants at 10 days. If that makes sense?

@Glera oh thank you that makes sense. I hadn't really thought that it produced hcg until it had implanted, so thank you!

@maryd84 don't give up! There's still time. How are you feeling today? Do you have symptoms?

I'm not sure what to think. Maybe I am imagining it all or it may be my body is just trying to balance itself out after having the nexplanon. It's like one minute I am sure there are symptoms and the next it's like they've all disappeared 😥
