Aaaww, the poor thing. Just read your post bookworm and googled it. Really feel for her.

bethoo · 18/01/2008 12:07

ican see a custody battle and paternituy testing on hollyoaks. or she will ntobe able to give it up.

nomoremagnolia · 18/01/2008 12:42

Did noone else get annoyed at the 'it's due around the 25th Sept' line? I immediately said to DH that she would be due sooner than that if she had conceived on xmas day, more like 17th Sept. DH just said 'it's only a soap you know!'

glastochick · 18/01/2008 13:27

I am now going to have to watch the omnibus edition on Sunday to catch up

ELF1981 · 18/01/2008 21:25

There is more than one paternity test coming up

OracleInaCoracle · 18/01/2008 21:29

have you beenon a spoiler site?

OP posts:
ArchiesMama · 18/01/2008 21:43

lol at ur comments elf!
i conceived in possibly the quickest shag in my life ubder v random circumstances! guess its sods law tho...u ant to get pregnant it takes ages but if u dont all it takes is one moment (literally) of stupidity! but my life appears to b like a soap so maybe thats why! ah well

ELF1981 · 18/01/2008 21:46

lissielou - yes, am obsessed with the spoiler site! Reading between the lines, looks like something good coming up next week.

ArchiesMama - I reckon my life recently would be worthy of Eastenders, what with all the manic hospital trips etc!

Izzybel · 18/01/2008 21:48

It's not just the fact that Violet from Corrie has only one fallopian tube though, iirc the other one is scarred. Wouldn't that make it even more difficult? I really like Hollyoaks usually though

OracleInaCoracle · 18/01/2008 21:49

i wish i lived in a soap.

elf, charlie?

archiesmama, but was it good for you?

OP posts:
ArchiesMama · 18/01/2008 21:51

elf sorry t hear about the hospital trips...are u still pregnant or is it for ur child? hope alls ok! my dramas are more self inflicted....men eh/...can live with em...cant live without

OracleInaCoracle · 18/01/2008 21:51

me too izzy it doesnt get the kudos it deserves!

in fact iirc i started a v simillar thread when violet got knocked up....

OP posts:
Izzybel · 18/01/2008 21:54

Sean must have soooper duper sperm!

ArchiesMama · 18/01/2008 21:54

lissielou... it was 5am, i had to stay up all nite for a brain scan and it lasted about 5 secs...i wasnt overly impressed! but the result is a little legend!

ELF1981 · 18/01/2008 21:55

LissiLou I wish I lived in a musical, bursting into song and dance every five mins

ArchiesMama - no, not pregnant, my DD is two now. I had what they think was a terrible viral infection which caused a 6 week continious migraine and what looked like a mini stroke but it wasnt, thank God!! Holding off having another until I finish my accountancy exams, though I am sure if I lived in a soap, I would find somebody to look after my child in the laudrette or something while I studied

ArchiesMama · 18/01/2008 21:58

lol good luck with the exams hun glad ur better! my soap drama involves me kinda seeing DS's Dads mate.....wasnt supposed to happen...makes me sound really bad!

Izzybel · 18/01/2008 21:59

Elf, at least most musicals have happy endings eh! I definately wouldn't want to live in Eastenders, so full of misery!

OracleInaCoracle · 18/01/2008 22:02

the violet thread

OP posts:
OracleInaCoracle · 18/01/2008 22:02

ArchiesMama · 18/01/2008 22:05

OracleInaCoracle · 18/01/2008 22:09

OP posts:
ELF1981 · 18/01/2008 22:12

lissie I think you are perfectly reasonable

Izzybel · 18/01/2008 22:15

I remember Violet having a scan at 4 weeks or something and seeing the heartbeat, and remembering tinking well that wouldn't happen. Didn't really know your background Lissie, as I'm pretty new I hope you're doing ok. I'm not surprised you feel like this towards these kinds of storylines!

OracleInaCoracle · 18/01/2008 22:24

thanks, (and welcome to mn) i do ok most days im just frustrated that the writers cant portray (in)fertility realistically would it really be so badto show a normal couple who want a baby trying and trying and trying and having docs appointments etc?
