Hi ladies, Has anyone here got any experience using clomid? I am waiting to see a nhs consultant . I am hoping I will be offered this medication.
Do these appointments tend to have long waiting lists? 😩
my birthday is fast approaching, I feel time is running out…

Hi @40andtrying1

I didn't want to just ignore your post. I haven't tried clomid so can't advise but I'm sure someone on this page will be able to.x

Nikster8012 · 19/09/2023 20:04

I was naughty and bought chlonid online when I was 31. I now have twins round one.

DO NOT BUY ONLINE. I am just naughty.

Doesn't improve egg quality. At aged 43 I bought a load more heavy dose. No luck.
On Chinese meds and acupuncture to improve my old eggs.
Two days late on period today.
BFN though.
Ho hum...

I’ve lost my hope completely and DE is in the conversation now. I will be happy if that works.

WomanHereHear · 19/09/2023 20:12

Hi I’m sorry I am not ttc now but I think fertilitea seemed to work for me for my last two pregnancies after secondary infertility, I was already taking zita west pregnaplan, ubiquinol 100, high dose vit d, 1mg methylfolate and agnus castus 400. I also took low dose aspirin once I got bfp as a did have a few mc as well. And I stopped forking out for clear blue opk, the one step ones from Amazon were just as good. Sending positive energy x

40andtrying1 · 19/09/2023 20:22

DE?
I am nearly 41, I just feel as though it’s never going to happen… 🙁
IVF would be so expensive.

Hi @GingerFox2021
Do you mind me asking how you even start with DE.
As I have a child already I'm guessing I should contact nearest fertility clinic ?

GingerFox2021 · 19/09/2023 21:17

Hi @Rainbows121 i am 43, i have a 4 year old girl conceived naturally straight away. Never considered DE option before, but now it looks like it’s my only option. I did my own research about fertility clinics abroad (in Prague). They tell you what tests they want to see for your consultation.

Rainbows121 · 06/10/2023 22:35

Well here we go again... another month. I had some test done and results are ok. All within range so just need to keep everything crossed for that one good egg 🙈
How's everyone doing? x

40andtrying1 · 07/10/2023 07:18

That is good news for you 💕
I am still not pregnant, I think I must be around 9dpo though I have been keeping track of anything as I’m fed up with it all.
sorry to moan. X

Moan away! Sometimes you just need to let it out. It's so hard coping with disappointment each month.
I'm taking the vitamins and having acupuncture so doing everything I can. IVF isn't an option financially so I'm trying to go with the "what will be will be".
That doesn't stop me feeling annoyed at myself for delaying ttc #2 during Covid. At the time I thought it was the right thing to do now I just feel regret 🥲 x

40andtrying1 · 07/10/2023 17:43

Aww I also feel regret as we tried to save for a deposit for a house, for years. Now it’s too expensive to buy a house!
I just thought well I had my daughter so quick 15 years ago and just assumed it would take a few months only this time. Boy was I wrong!
I think I’m due on, my husband thinks so too as I’m in a foul mood lol.
you are doing everything you can do, we all are. Maybe we are all too stressed and that’s why it’s not happening. 💕

Nikster8012 · 08/10/2023 08:16

Yeah. Stressed is the word.
I turn 45 this month and after all the cash I spent in failed IVF and at least 500 per month on chinese meds I have decided this is my mast month. It has been an awful experience and very upsetting... but if its not written in the stars then so be it.
I neglected how lucky I was with fertility iver the course of time, and I kinda feel punished for my complacency now.
Last month after 2.5 years trying. Aged 45 in a few weeks it's time to knock it on the head.
My clearblue fertility monitor is listed on ebay and I will munch the rest of these vitamins then bail from this dreadful heartache. I am ovulating now but don't hold much hope. Never say never etc, but its become to much now.
I am eternally greatful for all the universe has gifted me in life, so its time to quit and be happy with what I have.
I actually feel better for it.
Best of luck everyone... keep us posted xxx

lillypilly7 · 08/10/2023 12:55

@Nikster8012 all the very best. It is all consuming.
I'm also 45 now and I'm not holding much hope of TTC number 2.
My vitamins have reached their expiry date on the packet 😆
Have to laugh....
Good luck. I'm sure I won't be far behind in ending our journey too...
🌸
