I just needed to post to see if anyone is in the same boat....

I'm 43...turning 44 in a month! and TTC number 2. Have a beautiful year old DD.

Have been TTC for 5months but no full well time is NOT on my side!

I'm taking pre conception vitamins , I don't drink , good diet etc etc....

That's me.

Anyone else want to join?

Thank you, yes it’s very frustrating! I have been getting mild period style cramps for the past couple of weeks, but no period! Also my resting heart rate is higher than usual which I’ve got every time I’ve been pregnant, but negative pregnancy tests cannot lie. Could be the start of perimenopause I guess.

Our DS is 5 now, I did stress a bit the first couple of years we have been trying for #2 about the ever widening potential age gap, but now I can see the benefits of a larger one (if we ever get there!).

Period arrived this morning to my relief and even if the long cycle was the start of perimenopause, as long as I am still getting periods, I am in with a small chance :) Hope everyone's having a good day and managing to stay cool!

Hi all, so I broke an despite still being 2 days away l tested and its a bfp, am now almost wishing I hadn't as at least if period arrives in next few days week, I wouldn't have known, am now feeling a misery guts as should be happy!!

Hi all, I'm almost 44 and ttc via IVF (single so need donor sperm). Cycle coming up soon and know it's low odds but trying to be hopeful.

Hello y'all ... has anyone had any luck ??
I am 44 and ttc for almost 2 years. We managed a baby at age 40 but since then no more luck. I even paid for a round of ivf but no success.
I take all the vitamins gave up smoking and drinking etc. Hhmmm thing is, it's actually on my mind 24/7 and I wish it would just stop ruling my life.
I am due on in a day or so. Had cramps 5dpo but then I am getting that a lot lately.
I always cramp after I ovulate too. I think AF will arrive soon and thinking about just ditching this dream and having counselling to try to deal with it. Sounds extreme I know.
But, my OH is 12 years younger and doesn't have kids which is why we want to extend our family. (I have 3 already), and OH is my utter soul mate. Crazy life stuff !
I guess the universe has a plan !
Anyone any tips or advice?

does anyone know what the day 3 blood test is for? The one in the middle of period.
my doctor just said my hormone levels are okay, but just wanted specifics really. X

Sorry really don't know. Didn't want to read and run. My ivf failed.
Now I am 44 and trying the Chinese herb and acupuncture.
Great your homones are good. I think my amh is 3.8 kinda normal I think. Sorry I don't know what the test is for.

I'm 44 , TTC number 2. Had my daughter at 40 (2 weeks after my 40th to be exact 😊).
Have been trying for number 2 for 18 months now....nothing 😖

Only took 6 months to conceive DD...

Losing a bit of hope and thinking it's not going to happen...

Hi @Rainbows121 , I've just had a very disappointing IVF cycle aged 44.10 so I really hope someone can give good news about natural conception over 45. Only had IVF as I'm single so need to find a man pretty quickly ha. I have read a few posters mention (in the usual "how old is too old to have a baby posts on aibu) that they conceived at 44ish so it's definitely possible.

Hiya I can add to this. I am 44. Ivf failed. Now I am using Chinese medicence and acupuncture. I have been using it just one month and due to ovulate any day. I cant afford another IVF aggrrrr but Chinese medicene I heard such wonderful things.
I will let you know if we manage it !!! Never give up hope !!! I kind of want to give up as my heart breaks every month but I am too stubborn to ever quit.
Anyway, my friend just had a baby naturaully and she is 44. My other mate had one at 46.

@Nikster8012 hi, thank you for the reply. I believe that that Chinese acupuncture helped me. I had 2 x MMC within a year. I then started having acupuncture to help with the trauma to my body and regulate my cycles and within 6 months I was pregnant and had my little boy. I was 39 when he was born. I've started having acupuncture again. Good luck to you aswell x

I might be the oldest here..45 years..
We have been TTC number 2 for over a year now...no sign.
Had our first when I was 40.

Out this month so focused on next cycle but also in a way have come to the conclusion that it may be way too late..probably 1% which is a massive stretch!
Anyone same age and same situation TTC naturally...

I came across this page while looking for positive news as im 44 next month so thought I'd post to ask.

While there is still a chance even 1% I'm still going to keep trying. My cycle's are still pretty regular so fingers crossed 🤞🏻

I am still trying. 5dpo at rhe moment and month into Chinese herbs and acupuncture haha never guve up !! I am hoping that soon it will happen. Sending big amazing positive vibes. Let us know xxx

Ps. I CANT Tell you how much good vibes I am sending. I know how hard it gets. Its so so tough. I had failed ivf and all sorts. Stress doesnt help. Big big love ❤️ you are not alone xx

Are you TTC for number 2 as well?
Do you use OPKs?
My cycles are pretty regular at 24/25 still....

@rainyday32 yes #2 for me.

I have recently started using opk's. I had resisted before because I thought they might make ttc more stressful but then I thought well every little helps.

Ive been ttc since feb of this year. Have older children from previous marriage never had any problems getting pregnant. Had 3 early miscarriages this year and im fast approaching 45. Due on tomorrow, having all the symptoms but just bfn. Is there any hope or should I just give up ?

It's so hard @Countrygirl777 but I know that if I was in your position and had fallen pregnant 3 times this year I'd keep trying... but that's me.
I had 2 x MMC before having my son so I just kept on trying.x

It's not too late. But I am feeling your pain. 2 years and counting. 45 in October.

Got pregnant on a wink and a smile before. Sucks.
I am due on next week I am having cramps 5dpo onwards, I feel awful. These period type crampsv re probably just progesterone.
