7DPO symptoms - I’m going crazy, anyone else?

SophT27 · 26/06/2022 19:09

I think I’m going crazy. Last month I had a faint positive which led to a chemical pregnancy. I wasn’t necessarily TTC, but that line made my heart flutter and I felt devastated when AF arrived.

flash forward to now and I’m 7 DPO. Yesterday I had some cramping and some pink spotting. Today I’m still cramping, I also have lower back ache and I have some brown loss on wiping (sorry, I know TMI). This afternoon I felt a little bit nauseous and now I think I’m reading into every, tiny, little thing!

I know it’s too early to test, and also that the chances of this being down to the imminent arrival of AF are high, but I’m finding it hard not to read into things and get my hopes up. Anyone else in a similar boat? would love to chat.

I should probably add that AF is due 4th July my periods are usually on time (give or take a day).

@Fabpinky @Dawnymillz today would be 21 days for me. I’ve also seen that you should wait for 5 days after a missed period. But that a “regular” cycle can be anywhere from 21 to 35 days and that variation is normal.

I know it’s bad, but I have almost given up hope for this month now. Today is day 3 of a missed period according to Flo but cycle day 30 so really AF could still arrive.

I am still going to try and get hold of some tests today if I can, just in case, but I think I’m going to see what the next couple of days bring.

@Fabpinky will you let me know how you get on this morning with your cheapie and tomorrow with your FRER? I’m rooting for you and @Dawnymillz

Morning @SophT27 @Fabpinky how are you girls feeling this morning? You are so right about variation in when AF arrive is completely normal, I think I forget that sometimes. The 2WW is almost a 2.5 or 3 week wait instead sometimes which is very depressing. A 2WW is long enough!
Don't give up hope yet, as we were saying before it seems to be unusual for you to be late. Can't ignore that. Its perfectly normal to be feeling the way you are, it is a rollercoaster. I had talked myself out of it again last night, thinking I was imagining the symptoms. We torture ourselves!
Thank-you @SophT27 🤗Yes @Fabpinky let us know how you get on! I'm also rooting for you two girls.
So lovely to have this wee chat 😊you feel less alone and can be completely honest!

SophT27 · 09/07/2022 08:40

@Dawnymillz I actually don’t think I would have coped the past week or so without you and @Fabpinky to talk to.

I’m feeling a bit flat this morning. Probably post holiday blues coupled with the BFN yesterday evening. I really did think I would wake up this morning to the arrival of AF but still nothing.

I’m going to see how I feel in myself today now I think, now that I know there is a possibility that I’m not pregnant, I wonder if my symptom spotting will be less?

random question, but can you only get the FRER tests online or do any shops sell them?

OP posts:
Dawnymillz · 09/07/2022 08:57

Me either @SophT27 its been so lovely to have you and @Fabpinky to talk to.
I'm sorry to hear you are feeling flat, sending virtual hugs. Try and do something nice today and be kind to yourself. It might make you symptom spot less which I suppose isn't a bad thing as we know it does increase our anxiety!
I've never seen them in shops. I think I have seen some FR ones but not sure about those ones. Clear blue is the only main ones I have seen and the cheapies.

Fabpinky · 09/07/2022 09:19

@Dawnymillz @SophT27 i saw them in boots yesterday, they were about £4 more expensive than Amazon though. I’m sorry you’re feeling rubbish, try and be kind to yourself today. I just feel confused. Where is my AF???

i did the cheapie this morning with FMU and it’s still neg

SophT27 · 09/07/2022 10:12

@Fabpinky where is your AF and where is mine? It’s really strange isn’t it!

I highly suspect that any tests I do are going to be negative, but it doesn’t make any sense in terms of where AF has got to.

What day of your cycle are you on now? As I’m day 30, AF could still arrive over the next 5 days and still be classed as regular. Which is frustrating as hell, especially when it’s not normal for me.

Have you saved your urine sample from this morning for the FRER when it arrives? Or will you test tomorrow?

Sending you a massive hug. I’m sure you need it.

OP posts:
Fabpinky · 09/07/2022 10:19

@SophT27
im currently day 35, which I suppose technically because my longest cycle previously is 34, I could say this is just the 1st day my period is late. But Flo worked out my average cycle and says it’s 29 which makes me 5 days late. It’s so confusing!!!

I didn’t save any FMU, did you? I’m probably not going to test tomorrow with FRER, I’ll leave it a few more days now.

big hug to you too!

SophT27 · 09/07/2022 10:57

@Fabpinky no I didn’t save it, I think I’m going to patiently wait for AF to arrive now. Maybe test on day 5 of missed period or after day 35 of my cycle if AF doesn’t make an appearance before then.

it’s just so frustrating isn’t it.

carsty · 09/07/2022 10:58

sorry@SophT27 @Fabpinky your all still confused with whats what especially as your both now pass your normal longest cycle day...I hope you get some clarity and peace of mind soon, do take advantage of the day to do something enjoyable...as for me i think im out this month as i have been having period like cramps since yesterday and had to order some heat pad with how bad it is already, but im not due for another 4/5 days...i do get pms a week or 2 bedfore af so this is normal for me...it seems this af cycke may be a very painful one.

Fabpinky · 09/07/2022 13:28

@SophT27 yep so frustrating living in limbo. The negative tests make me feel so stupid for even thinking I could have been.

SophT27 · 09/07/2022 13:59

@Fabpinky exactly that. I feel stupid and confused at the same time, which isn’t a nice feeling.

I just want AF to come now.

OP posts:
SophT27 · 09/07/2022 19:28

right @Fabpinky I didn’t manage to get any FRER tests in town today, I have picked up two normal tests. I am going to test tomorrow morning with my FMU if AF hasn’t arrived by then (which will be 4 days overdue). If it’s still negative I might test again Tuesday (6 days overdue) and after that I’m totally stumped and won’t know what to do other than contact my GP.

what is your plan of action? And how have you been feeling today?

@Dawnymillz any lovely updates from you?

OP posts:
Dawnymillz · 09/07/2022 19:44

@SophT27 @Fabpinky just reading through your messages girls. I feel your frustration and confusion. So sorry you are both going through this. Lots of luck to your testing tomorrow. Hope you are both having a nice weekend and able to do some fun things.
Nothing new from me. I'm due AF tomorrow according to Flo so we will see. No new symptoms, still tired, dizzy and some dull cramps on right side (although they have reduced). Cleaning the house top to bottom today which was a good distraction 😊have you girls been having any alcohol in your 2WW?

Maxime34 · 09/07/2022 19:54

Hey guys, hope you don't mind me jumping in here. I've been reading a lot of these threads and feel so invested in all your journeys, sending lots of positive vibes for testing. I'm in the dreaded TWW and finding time going so slowly. Ive had two MC this year so finding the whole process not fun at all already. Trying to stay positive though and I think being in this community will really help.

SophT27 · 09/07/2022 20:16

@Dawnymillz I have had a couple of ciders while I was away (literally just two, before AF was late). Im not a big drinker though, so that is really unusual for me but I was on holiday and in the sunshine.

I’ve been to visit my sister and niece today which was lovely.

I think I’m now in the headspace that I’m not pregnant. I think it’s better for my mental health to be thinking along those lines now. As hard as it is.

I have bitten the bullet today and had a chat to my husband too. He was with me when I got the tests, I told him I’m likely not pregnant. That’s the hard part too isn’t it.

@Maxime34 hello lovely. It’s so hard isn’t it, symptom spotting is the worst and as I’m sure you can see, it’s also a bit confusing. When is AF due for you? These girls have been a godsend the past week or so.

OP posts:
Dawnymillz · 09/07/2022 20:37

@Maxime34 welcome 😊so sorry to hear about your MCs, I had one a couple of months ago. It was a tough time. The 2WW is hard, this is a lovely community to talk openly so hope its helpful to you. It has been so helpful to me having these girls here.
@SophT27 hard not to have a wee cider in the sunshine. I poured a glass of wine last night and took two sips, pouring the rest down the sink. It didn't feel right plus I could be imaging it but I felt the dull cramps heightened.
Glad you enjoyed your visit to your sister and niece 😊
Aw lovely, what a tough part of the journey you went through today. I am so sorry. Your MH is so important and you do what you think will help. Hope your husband is doing ok too. Big hugs!

SophT27 · 09/07/2022 20:50

@Dawnymillz its funny you should say that about the wine, I was fine after the first cider, but a couple of days later when I had the second my stomach cramps were much worse and the nausea got a lot worse too. When we got back to our apartment I felt the worst I have. I thought it might have been in my head, but my stomach ache wasn’t in my mind, I just couldn’t get comfy.

Maxime34 · 09/07/2022 20:55

@SophT27

Thanks lovely, really hope you get your bfp soon. You're not out until AF arrives so fingers crossed. My last bfp I didn't get a positive until much later than usual so it is possible. It did end in a MC sadly but I think I just ovulated later and implantation took a bit longer that cycle. I know what you mean about mentally protecting yourself, I feel like I do that every month. It's easier than getting your hopes up sometimes. I hope chatting to your husband was a weight off your shoulders? Mine has no idea how much I dwell on the TWW and go nuts testing every month. AF should arrive in about a week so all of my apps say I should test next Saturday but knowing me I'll find it hard to resist early testing!

@Dawnymillz thank you and sorry to hear you've also had a MC recently. Will you be testing soon? Will keep my fingers crossed for you.

Dawnymillz · 09/07/2022 21:04

Thanks @Maxime34 I'm going to try and wait until Tues before I test, unless AF arrives first. Going to be a long few days. Hope you are having a nice weekend and not symptom spotting too much.

Dawnymillz · 09/07/2022 21:08

@SophT27 that's strange that both of us experienced that after some alcohol. I think I'm going to swerve it until I know for sure!

SophT27 · 09/07/2022 21:18

@Dawnymillz it is really weird. I’ve swerved it since, just because I felt so awful straight after and it didn’t sit right with me once AF was late. I thought maybe it was in my head but now I’m not so sure. It is weird we’ve felt the same.

OP posts:
Dawnymillz · 09/07/2022 21:24

@SophT27 Very strange we both felt the same. I wish the same could be said for coffee, no aversion to it all. Plus I'm eating all in sight haha!

SophT27 · 09/07/2022 21:25

@Maxime34 its so difficult isn’t it. I wouldn’t have said anything to him at all, it seems silly to bring it up when it may not be necessary and I don’t want him to think I’m mad during the 2WW. I save that for the lovely people on the forum.

I use Flo, so I base my ovulation on that and I have to say I had some right sided pelvic pain that I thought could be ovulation pain around the time Flo said I would be ovulating, that pain went away but I’ve now had niggling aches/cramps for 2 weeks. I just don’t know what is going on.

OP posts:
SophT27 · 09/07/2022 21:39

@Dawnymillz I don’t drink coffee so that isn’t really a problem 🤣 but I’ve been eating, but feeling really sick or full faster than usual.

OP posts:
Maxime34 · 09/07/2022 21:47

Will keep everything crossed for you
