Implantation???

Hi All,

I'm currently 6 dpo and experiencing really weird, sharp pains in my lower stomach. Not had anything like this before! They feel kind of like period cramps but then can't decide if it's chronic bloat?!!

Is this likely to be implantation or something else???

@gossipgirlxoxox no this is my 4th! Which is another reason why I feel I have no right at all to be sad this wasn't my month when others are struggling to conceive their first.

How is everyone today? Did AF show? How you all feeling?

I am 12dpo, AF due tomorrow/Thursday xx

@MrsYan no bleeding today, no idea what's going on. Maybe my period will start in earnest tomorrow? Fairly certain I'm not pregnant so not bothering to test.

@Climbingthelaundrymountain I hope AF has stayed away?? Have you done any tests yet? Xx

@MrsYan no I haven't tested because I don't want to be disappointed. I'm not due on until tomorrow but started having pink discharge on Saturday. Then it turned brown, then red, back to brown and now nothing!

@Climbingthelaundrymountain is that usual for you? I know I spot a couple of days before af but if you don't then it could be something?

Ah yes! We are due on at the same time, I remember now. No, not tested. I will wait until AF is late before I test, I find that disappointment easier for some reason xx

@MrsYan yes there is usually a little spotting for a day or maybe two at most, this has been 4 days now. But maybe it's just gearing up for AF. Have you got any feelings? Do you think you could be pregnant?

Thanks for checking in! No AF still! I'm on day 31 now and usually 27-28 days. I took Pregnacare Conception trying to conceive tablets at start of cycle then read it can mess up cycles and delay periods so stopped taking- maybe that's why? I only took 6.
I guess we are still all in game until AF arrives. Don't feel pregnant though!

@Climbingthelaundrymountain how strange. Why do our bodies like to trick us? Have you recently come off contraception or anything? Ummmmm I honestly don't know?! 🤷🏻‍♀️ it's hard to tell what my gut feeling is because I just want it soooo MUCH. So I dunno, the biggest thing this month for me was lack of sore boobs after ovulation. My boobs are a no go zone in the TWW as they hurt so much but haven't had any of that this month. But who knows. I also spot two days before af usually, we are two days before af today and nothing yet.

@Quadrilingual ah yes I have heard that too! Maybe that's why. Did you track ovulation at all? Fingers crossed we are all still in! Haven't heard from the other two ladies yet today hopefully they are all ok xx

I also just cried because I accidentally bought pork mince instead of beef for my spaghetti Bolognese... so one might say I'm hormonal lol 😂

Oh no @MrsYan! That's so frustrating! I've been ravenous all day.

I have a funny thing that's been happening but I don't know how to search for it! It's like I can feel the AF coming down there in lady parts (like opening) but there's nothing there. It's been like that for a week now! I've never had that? Do you know what I mean?? Sorry if TMI!

Hope you are all ok tonight and that AF hasn't turned up for anyone!!

I'm 99% sure I'm out. Spotting has got worse and is like the very beginning of a period. Still can't explain why it happened so early but I do always get around 5 days of spotting before my period!! No idea why. I was never able to tolerate the pill either that always caused bleeding.
Also caved and took a pregnancy test to torture me even more. Negative obviously 🙄 x

AF is coming for me too, starting spotting like normal 😭😭😭 I really struggle when af comes so will probably be quiet for a couple of days. Shall we all be cycle buddies for the next one though too? xx

How many days do you tend to have spotting for before af kicks in properly? I always thought something wasn't right but it seems much more common than I thought!

I am new to mumsnet. My partner and I are trying for our first baby. I've been off the pill now for 4 months. My period came back regular enough and usually 28 days. I have had such a strange period this time (started 26th Feb). Before my period, I had myself convinced I was pregnant. Very tired, sore boobs, weird metallic taste in my mouth,. headache and lower abdominal cramps/movement. I was very sad when I came on my period. The period lasted for 2 days and was pretty heavy. Then the period basically disappeared and there was some brown discharge.
Has anyone experienced this? Also, has anyone experienced regular light cramps since coming off the pill. I constantly feel bloated/crampy

I've not been on the pill for around 4 years now. I came off solely due to the way they messed up my periods. From my experience it took a while for my periods to get to a more 'normal' level. Now my cycles are around 36 days long. In terms of ttc after coming off the pill, I wouldn't know unfortunately as we have only just started ttc. Not sure this helps you much but in my experience it took a while for my periods to settle down!

@gossipgirlxoxox I have spotting for two days, when I say spotting... my cm is just slightly pink tinged. But I know to look out for it before af is due. Feeling deflated today and like I am never going to fall pregnant 🥺 hope everyone else is ok xx

@Dawnymillz also can't can't, sorry! I had the coil and haven't been on the pill for so long

With any hormonal contraceptives though it can take a while for your body to get back to 100% normal for you.

If you period was strange, have you done a pregnancy test just to cross that off? Xx

Ah I see. My spotting tends to be brown for 5-6 days before!! It drives me mad. Saying that, today I've got absolutely nothing again so I have no idea what is going off. My hopes have came back up slightly but trying not to stress!

Any info is useful thank-you I think on my naievity I thought my period should be back to normal at this stage but maybe not!

I haven't done a pregnancy test. I thought as the first 2 days were heavy that it was a normal period but just very strange that it went away and then just brown discharge (TMI)!!
