Pretty sure I’ve just about hit my peak.

Does anyone else always get their peak in the evening/ overnight?

I never know what day to class as ovulation, will probably class Sunday as it’s only just turning peak. Just shows the difference testing in the evening can make though!

I have pinchy right side pain now so thinking ovulation starting. I'm gonna say tomorrow is O day in the hope it'll put me off testing too soon

Does anyone know anything about illness and conception? We DTD the day before a peak smiley and then I came down with the flu. I’m feeling pretty horrendous and have been having a fever and aches in my womb. I’m now really worried there will be an issue with the baby if it does work.

DH was also ill just before so that was our one day we both felt ok. I’m worried bad sperm as well can cause problems?

I don’t think it can cause issues. I think that sperm anyway takes a long time to be affected by changes - I.e changes to diet, vitamins etc usually take a couple of months to kick in I think.

I was ill once during the time of ovulation and I think it ended up pushing ovulation back. Sometimes you can get a surge of Lh but then your body doesn’t release the egg and tries to release it later that cycle instead.

Anyone give me any info on LH surge and ovulation. If you read online it says you can ovulate 24-36hours to ovulate after your LH peak. I DTD last night, planning on DTD again today too.

But what I’m asking is, when is best? This morning, afternoon or evening? 😬 And then shall I DTD again tomorrow just to optimise chances?

I totally didn’t put this much pressure on things the first time around 😂😂

Hello ladies, AF arrived today so officially CD1. It's only cycle 2 for us TTC #4 so trying to not feel too despondent. Here's to Christmas babies 😊

I was like a mad woman last night Google searching how long after ovulation pains is egg released.

@BiscuitLover3678 I think as long as you keep your temperature under control it'll be fine. Could it be ovulation cramps in your womb? Xx

@Sunshine92 when was your peak? I would just say DTD as soon as possible afterwards but I imagine any time would be fine as you don’t know how long it will take to release the egg or how long it will take the sperm to swim there!

Hard to say. Definitely had fever and overall body cramps :( I guess I just have to hope for the best.

And the TWW begins (if I even ovulated at all)...

@BiscuitLover3678 if you were pregnant then you wouldn’t be yet passing anything onto the baby as it would literally just be cells multiplying, no placenta or anything at this stage, so I wouldn’t worry about that. You may be feeling cramps in your womb more because you’re conscious of that area with TTC. I really hope you start feeling better soon.

@MrsGrealish TWW about to start here too. I’m classing today as ovulation day as peak was last night and boobs are ridiculously sore today which would suggest a rise in progesterone today. So 1dpo tomorrow.

So here's something I know you ladies will appreciate...so I had my Tesco delivery today, they had substituted my clear blue pregnancy tests (ordered as I knew I would be testing this weekend) for the clear blue smiley face ovulation tests - after AF arrived this morning that is a whole lot more useful 😊

Paranoid now about some Orwellian dystopia where Tesco somehow know about my TTC status 😂😂😂

I haven't used the CB digi OV tests before, I wasn't planning to actually but now I have them I guess my POAS fun can continue for a whole lot more of my cycle...

Omg @Poppyjen this same thing happened to me with DD. I think I ended up giving it to the driver asking for a refund. I knew it was too late for ovulation kits 😂

But I was younger then and full of fertility. I wouldn't complain again. Would happily accept the ovulation kit.

Out of interest @MrsGrealish what did your Google research tell you about ovulation cramps and time of ovulation? I’m pretty sure I’m experiencing them this evening so now wondering if tomorrow might be ovulation day.

@Charl881 not great news for me. It happens like 24 hrs b4 egg is released. Stretching and irritation as it expands to release egg.

For me the right sided pinching was followed by full on AF cramps a couple hours later. Nothing today but it was painful last night and killed my sex drive (OH asleep anyway so a mute point 😅)

Let's hope his swimmers live up to the 3 day challenge

Interesting! I’ve got proper cramps on one side (like trapped wind 😂). This is only the second month I’ve felt anything like this so not sure if timing. I should probably count tomorrow as ovulation day just in case.

Welcome @Poppyjen. That was lucky for them then. Is it just me or can you see some guy picking shopping and realising there are no cb pregnancy tests and just going these will prob do the same thing 😂.
@BiscuitLover3678 sorry to hear you have been poorly too. Hopefully it won’t have affected anything. As charl said at this stage it will just be a ball of cells, so you being ill shouldn’t affect that. Hope you are feeling better.
