I’m almost 100% convinced I’m out now!

Really really hoping a December baby is the one. Anyone else?
@BiscuitLover3678 you’ve got much more patience than me. Are you feeling totally better now? I have some sort of cold/ virus which I think is giving me symptoms which I then imagine to be pregnancy ones.

Did another IC this morning and had another very faint shadow. I wouldn’t call it as long as you can only see it in certain lights and/or if you edit it. It’s either the start of something or that’s just a thing all one step tests have.
Shadow is definitely something!

I am thanks but I feel like it totally messed up this month. I’ll probably still test again tomorrow but I mean I’m mentally ready for AF.

When you due?

OP posts:
Charl881 · 20/03/2022 08:08

I’m not due until Friday/ Saturday. So I’m way too early to be testing. I’m pretty sure it’s not happened this cycle but I’m just so desperate for it to have worked as we will have two cycles of not being able to try now!

Hi Everyone, please can I join the group? I am TTC#1 and we are on cycle 6, currently 9DPO. I am 30 and my partner is 32. We have agreed not to tell anyone, my periods can be irregular and I don't want the extra pressure of friends and family asking if I am pregnant yet. This cycle was my last CD21 blood test. Thankfully I have a really understanding doctor and she was happy to run ovulation tests once I had the coil removed in September. All have so far shown that I have ovulated, granted at different times each month, but ovulated nonethelessI used OPKs for the first time this cycle - we managed to DTD 2 days running up to ovulation, on ovulation and 2 days after. Is there such a thing as too much sex? Now the middle of symptom spotting - hate this bit. Has anyone found a good technique to not obsess during the TWW?

Good luck to everyone 🄰😊

Welcome and good luck!

I find it helps to have lots of things planned so it goes really fast and so I don’t generally feel like I’m wasting time. Easier said than done!

Ooh looks like it might be something @Charl881.
Took a frer this morning and the line is exactly the same, so not feeling positive, wondering if it’s an evap, but never had one that dark. Will wait a few days and see if i feel it’s worth testing again or just waiting for af.

Bubblesandballoons · 20/03/2022 08:58

Welcome @AdaJones26. I can’t help with how to cope as I stupidly did a test at 6dpo which had a line and now it’s no diff, so just stressing myself out more šŸ˜‚šŸ™ˆ.

exne · 20/03/2022 09:03

Hi all,

Hope you don’t mind me hopping onto this! TTC#1, first month (do you say cycle? There’s so many acronyms and things to learn!!).
Got far too excited and tested 6DPO today, I know it’s too early but I’m still getting to know how I work 🤣.
I feel like if I pluck at every last straw, I can see a vvvfl on this both edited and unedited? Maybe I am a fool? Please let me know thoughts if you don’t mind!

@Bubblesandballoons I decided from the start to only take a test if I miss a period, but I got caught out last cycle. My app predicted AF would arrive on the Saturday, but it arrived on the Tuesday. I burst into tears. Felt daft getting my hopes up when I have only been able to predict my period starting within a given week, not by date, as they can be irregular. Not sure if testing before AF will save me making the same mistake šŸ¤”

Charl881 · 20/03/2022 09:27

@exne I can see something on the inverted one! Welcome to the crazy TTC club, it’s definitely a rollercoaster.

Charl881 · 20/03/2022 09:28

@AdaJones26 yeah some people say that early testing helps manage the disappointment of AF arriving a bit because you are already pretty sure you’re out before she arrives!

exne · 20/03/2022 09:30

I’m so glad it’s not just me!! Thanks for the welcome, I can already tell from a single month trying how wild it can get 🤣 I’m like googling every single thing, from ā€œis weeing more at 6DPO a symptomā€, it’s madness!

Bubblesandballoons · 20/03/2022 10:18

@AdaJones26 oh no bless you. Maybe test day before or of af so you know what to expect?
@exne glad I not the only one who caved at 6po šŸ˜‚. I can’t see anything, but it’s still early days, hopefully a line will appear in a few days for you šŸ¤žšŸ».

MrsGrealish · 20/03/2022 11:30

Welcome @exne and @AdaJones26

@Bubblesandballoons that's a shame about the line today. Are you still feeling ok with the covid?

My boobs are noticeably less sore today and even though no more weird discharge I'm not feeling too positive.

pulfy · 20/03/2022 12:13

Hi - I’ve been following this thread for a while but the first time I’m actually contributing! Started TTC back in 2018, got pregnant after two months but then had a mmc at 9 weeks followed by a cancer diagnosis - so cue 3 years of chemo and now I’m thankfully in remission and TTC again! Had embryos frozen pre chemo but it seems like I’ve been lucky and it hasn’t affected my fertility (according to tests done) but it’s still taking a while - starting TTC this time round in June 2021 so I’m getting v.frustrated. Have an appointment to start medication at the beginning of my next cycle for a FET, but had a 21-day progesterone test done on friday which came back v.higher than expected, so my consultant says that there’s a chance I could be pregnant but I’m in that awful waiting stage!! 9dpo today and trying desperately to refrain from testing as don’t want to do so until it would be a definite positive or negative…hate the thought of getting my hopes up that it could be a false negative…! How long do you guys tend to wait to test? My brain is going mad at the moment…!

MrsGrealish · 20/03/2022 12:28

@pulfy you've been through so much xx a friend of mine had breast cancer. Mastectomy followed by chemo and radio she got naturally pregnant 1 year after treatment. And has a lovely healthy baby now.
As for testing it's always better to wait as long as you can but you can see positives from 9dpo and literally no one judges from testing too early xx
So much luck to you xx

BiscuitLover3678 · 20/03/2022 12:46

@pulfybest of luck. You really have had a tough time.

Tested again today at 10dpo. Nothing. I also feel totally normal like every unsuccessful month so far. Really hard not to feel down. Have all these family events coming up where I thought I might be at the stage of telling people I was pregnant if it had happened early! But no.

Next cycle the due date will be around 29th December. A part of me thinks I should just skip a month :( I don’t know

OP posts:
pulfy · 20/03/2022 12:47

So nice to hear positive post-chemo stories!! I’m so hopeful but then keep on thinking that I’m being stupid for getting my hopes up…the tww is such a rollercoaster! Anyone else at the 9dpo stage today?

Charl881 · 20/03/2022 12:52

8dpo for me and did a FRER, BFN. I know it’s ridiculously early but still know so many people who get a faint positive at this stage!

@BiscuitLover3678 I’ll be skipping next cycle mainly because OH is away for the whole of my fertile period, but also it avoids the whole Christmas birthday dilemma. I think that’s why I’m so keen for this cycle to work though.

@pulfy welcome! Fingers crossed for you this cycle. I am an awful early tester and honestly I would advice against it as it’s a horrible habit. 12dpo should be pretty accurate and isn’t too far away for you. My OH had a lot of chemo, radiation etc when he was in his 20s. We really thought that would affect our chances and we’d have to use ICSI but we conceived DS after 13 months of trying. Obviously different because he’s a man but just in case it helps give you extra reassurance!

MrsGrealish · 20/03/2022 12:59

@pulfy I'll be 9dpo tomorrow. It was really emotional for everyone involved in her care. She got scanned a lot more and at the 12 week scan even the midwife was crying.

@BiscuitLover3678 I did an one step this morning. Totally negative. Like surely some hormone would be there by now. šŸ˜• I feel your pain.

Charl881 · 20/03/2022 13:08

It’s definitely the stage of the TWW where it starts to feel like it’s never going to happen isn’t it 😩

Bubblesandballoons · 20/03/2022 13:24

Yep this stage sucks šŸ˜ž. I’m also skipping the next cycle if this one doesn’t work out, give my body a break and chase up my appointment with the recurring miscarriage clinic. See if I can at least get basic bloods done next month šŸ¤žšŸ».

Charl881 · 20/03/2022 13:30

@Bubblesandballoons a break will be good for me mentally I think which can surely only then have a positive effect moving forward. I hope you manage to get the bloods sorted.

It would be so nice just to see at least one BFP on this thread this month though.

BiscuitLover3678 · 20/03/2022 13:31

That makes total sense Flowers

Weather is looking up everyone so hopefully we can get out and enjoy ourselves a bit and time will fly by.

I don’t know whether anyone has ever used this implantation calculator before but it’s just given me a bit of hope, apparently my most likely day for implantation is tomorrow.

Just put my dates into this - it suggests waiting until the 24th to test…! Let’s see if I can hold out that long…
