False + 🥺⁉️

Hi,
we have been trying for over a year now and I’ve never had a + test before.
However, AF is two days late according to Flo app, and my cycle 1 day longer than my longest cycle ever, so I’m confused.

Been taking ICs (one step 🙄) and all negatives, now CB went positive after 15 minutes. I know you’re only supposed to read them in the time frame, but has anyone else gotten a + result after over 10 minutes and it was still true? Line is definitely blue … but I’m not getting excited because it may still be an evap. 😩

I will try again with FMU tomorrow or in two days, as this one wasn’t…

What do you think? Am I still in or am I reaching? 😬😬

Why would you have multiple false positives though? The blood test has similar accuracy levels to a urine test.

CherryAndAlmond · 22/02/2022 11:14

Hoping you get some clarity on this Op and get your answer this evening.

I had a few negative tests, a couple faint ICs and these tests all appeared positive after 10min time frame, so I’m suspicious they are evaps - also many other members said they may be. :/

So I just thought if HCG is under 5, then these were false and I can contact my gp as to what to do about my late period (6days).

I reckon bro. That's a lot of Evaps

worriedonwine · 22/02/2022 11:21

Bfp!! Bloody autocorrect 😂

Fridafever · 22/02/2022 11:21

Honestly I think you are or have been pregnant, the pink tests don’t really do false positives. I hope the outcome is good for you!

lilrosemarie · 22/02/2022 11:25

These are the faint cheapies. 🙃
But having got negatives as well, made me think these may be false positive.

That looks like it might be a line to me :)

Fridafever · 22/02/2022 11:31

Pink dye tests will only go pink in the presence of HGC honestly.

Fridafever · 22/02/2022 11:52

Sorry if I’m pestering you by the way, it’s just that it might be important at some point to know that you were pregnant. Obviously I massively hope it’s successful and then it’ll become very obvious shortly!

irishfarmer · 22/02/2022 12:05

Blood test will sort it out, if you are worried about mc you will need to repeat the bloods in 2 days though just to make sure the figure is doubling. Bloods cost me €20 I found it money well spent at the time. They look positive to me though :)

Mine was only 13€ so definitely money well spent, considering digital CB are around 11€. I can go again in a few days to get a confirmation … all depending on the results I get today. If it’s bellow a certain amount, I may not even have to.

Wow that's really cheap! Hopefully they high enough for 4/5 weeks pregnant :) the waiting is awful though.

CaMePlaitPas · 22/02/2022 12:43

They all look the same OP, all the tests have faint positive lines, I don't think that can be a fluke, I think you may actually be pregnant x

lilrosemarie · 22/02/2022 13:10

Got the results - not pregnant! So all of the tests truly were evaps. 🥺

OP posts:
Fridafever · 22/02/2022 13:13

Or you’re not pregnant anymore, I’m sorry.

CavernousScream · 22/02/2022 13:15

Sorry you’re not pregnant. Vanishingly unlikely they were all evaps, it’s most likely you’ve had a chemical pregnancy.

ExactlyThis · 22/02/2022 13:23

I’m sorry to hear that OP. I think it was likely a chemical after looking at all of these tests. Lots of love x

lilrosemarie · 22/02/2022 14:00

Will never know. HCG was 1.2, so that’s practically nothing. I should be getting my period if it’s chemical, right?

OP posts:
irishfarmer · 22/02/2022 15:00

Sorry to hear that :( I did a quick google it says to except your period to be about a week late. At least you know now.

CaMePlaitPas · 22/02/2022 15:12

Ah I'm sorry x

lilrosemarie · 22/02/2022 18:52

I’m just now thinking that I had omicron this cycle and that might have caused ovulation and then period to come late. It doesn’t explain the positive tests, but if they are indeed all evaps … maybe my period is not late afterall. 🙂 The only thing I know for sure now is that I’m not pregnant. 🥺

OP posts:
ExactlyThis · 22/02/2022 19:04

Yes, that HCG means not pregnant. Period is due any time if it was a chemical x

JellybabyGina87 · 22/02/2022 19:15

I think it's been a chemical pregnancy, sorry OP. You can get the odd evap but not consistently like this. I think your last test looked positive but not dark enough for your stage of your cycle. You'll probably get your period soon and it may be slightly heavier and more painful than usual. I've had the same thing a couple of times.

lilrosemarie · 03/03/2022 07:01

Okay, so I’m on CD46. AF is still not here. And it’s been 9 days since my negative bloods. 😬

I took this one today - morning. It appeared instantly. Either my tests are failing me or I am broken. 😂
