Are you in the 2 week wait? How are you doing/feeling?

After my either early loss/chemical last cycle I was hoping to try again this cycle (most fertile first 3 months after loss) but sadly I have been super poorly and only managed to baby dance once around peak 🤦🏼‍♀️

So I am not too hopeful this cycle, but at least we did try 😂

Yes, the EPU have booked me in for a scan on the 11th February. I think by the sounds of it they give you an early scan if you've had previous losses no problem which is good.

Bridgey8 · 24/01/2022 01:13

Hi guys... still on honeymoon! So... last night at 13dpo I started bleeding and thought fuck it and had three cocktails. When I got back to the room I noticed that the bleeding was very light so I thought hmmm bit odd then did a test this morn and it's positive. Still bleeding this morn. So confused!

SGChome20 · 24/01/2022 09:30

@Bridgey8 it's such hard time. Congrats on your positive! If I were you I'd try and wait 2-3 days and take another test that's the same brand etc and look for a darker line. Did you take your test with FMU or was it at night? How dark was the line?

Bridgey8 · 24/01/2022 09:36

@SGChome20 it was fmu and was about 50% tint of control line (internet cheapie). Did another a bit later just to make sure it wasn't the test and same result! Bleeding seems to have stopped too. Maybe implantation? Xx

SGChome20 · 24/01/2022 09:41

If the bleeding has stopped then I'd definitely say to be cautiously optimistic. And do not feel guilty about having a few cocktails, ttc is such a difficult thing!

beanchopper17 · 29/01/2022 16:46

Sorry been MIA, spent all last weekend with a newborn baby and a toddler (that is the same age of what my child would of been if I hadn't of had a miscarriage in 2019)

Soooo I have been dealing with all the emotions, it can be very draining!

How is everyone doing? Ready for a new cycle?

@SGChome20 hope your well, I still have my fingers crossed for you that little one stays put 🤞🏻

SGChome20 · 30/01/2022 14:22

@beanchopper17 that must have been hard. You feel you need to keep your emotions in at the time but when they all come out later on it can be a bit overwhelming if imagine, especially since it was an entire weekend. How are you feeling about moving on to the next cycle?

So I've a bit of an update. I asked for progesterone because of my spotting (have only really had 2 bouts and very light) and they agreed on the understanding that I would have a scan first to confirm pregnancy in utero. Had a scan at exactly 21dpo and they could see a gestational sac. I got the progesterone but I've to go back on Tuesday again for a re scan. I was so overwhelmed at the time that I didn't even ask why they were re-scanning but I assume they want to see more than just a gestational sac. I'm hoping that that's all they could see because it was still early days. They were very nice to me and didn't give me any real reason to be alarmed but obviously still anxious in case there is no progress by Tuesday.

beanchopper17 · 03/02/2022 22:26

@SGChome20 how did your scan go? I know what you mean about keeping calm, over thinking is a nightmare and no way of stopping it sadly. Distraction is key!

I am ok, I have a far better out look since starting counselling (i started this to help with my losses and infertility but we also went through dealing with the prospect that it may not happen). I highly recommend to any one who is struggling.

My opks are starting to get stronger which gives me hope I am having another 'normal' cycle, this is so exciting to me after years of complete irregular ness. Going to try using pre seed again this time, I do wonder if that's why I have been getting faint lines and then early losses 🤷🏼‍♀️ (even if that's what they are?!?)

SGChome20 · 07/02/2022 10:40

@beanchopper17 thanks for asking. It went well and I saw a yolk sac and a tiny flutter of a heartbeat. They have given me progesterone supplements to use now. I'm trying to relax a bit and just take it a day at a time now.

Hopefully your cycles are getting into a more normal routine. It would certainly make timings easier

beanchopper17 · 10/02/2022 12:00

@SGChome20 that's positive news! Stay where you are little sticky bean!

I am getting slightly frustrated, seems this is going to be a longer cycle, after all the bragging I had done I had got my cycles down to a smaller window. Still not had my peak and I am on day 23. I got them down to between 32-38 days, as I haven't had my peak yet means I am sneaking in to a 40ish day cycle (maybe longer who knows).

🤦🏼‍♀️

Opk's finally getting strong again! Only a few days later than I expected, but hopefully will peak tonight or tomorrow 🤞🏻

That's great @beanchopper17, have you hit peak yet?

beanchopper17 · 14/02/2022 20:27

@SGChome20 indeedy, I can't believe how happy getting regular cycles makes me! It's dipped tonight so now on a new 2 week wait 🤞🏻🤞🏻

How are you getting on?

SGChome20 · 15/02/2022 15:48

That's great news. Although the dreaded TWW isn't easy!

I'm doing good. My anxiety is always there and im considering booking a private scan soon although trying to hold off. I had my booking appointment this morning which makes it all a bit real. I'd been doing quite a good job of just forgetting about everything.

beanchopper17 · 15/02/2022 16:12

@SGChome20 strangely I am weirdly optimistic (and after over 10years of ttc you would think I would be out of optimism 😂). Had a very intense dream the other night I got pregnant with twins (they do not run in either family), we didn't tell anyone then I was in hospital and everyone came to visit and I had 2 babies in my arms. It's was very odd!! Well 2dpo today, going to try and wait to at least 12dpo (hopefully I can find some self control from somewhere)

Yeah anxiety sucks! Distraction is the only way to pass time.

Honestly I found out that private early scans are about £250 I would be tempted too! Just for that piece of mind, but I get that it's a lot of money when you get a scan at about 11ish weeks anyway.

How many weeks are you now?

OP posts:
SGChome20 · 17/02/2022 12:29

@beanchopper17 I'm 8.5 weeks now although think I ovulated a bit late so maybe not quite there yet. I think a private scan would only settle my anxiety in the moment and a few days later I'd be back to worrying so that's why I'm trying to stay away.

Here's hoping for a bfp for you. I do think there is something to be said for manifesting positive thoughts, that said it can be difficult to remain positive all the time. I think it's great that you have a positive outlook. I'm sending lots of baby dust your way!

beanchopper17 · 21/02/2022 10:06

@SGChome20 8/9dpo today and the only positive I have is a covid test, thanks to my hubby sharing his germs!

At least now I can't symptom spot cause I just generally feel rubbish. Luckily covid symptoms are quite mild (see how it goes over the next few days). I have managed to avoid it until now, so not too bad!

Hope your well and little bean is behaving!

Just wondered how you were getting on @SGChome20 must be creeping towards second trimester now?

OP posts:
SGChome20 · 10/03/2022 09:22

@beanchopper17 thank you, yes I am currently around 11 weeks. I don't have my scan for another two weeks but I caved and had a private scan a couple of weeks ago and all looked good so I'm just hoping everything stays that way.

How are you getting on? Did you get over covid ok?

beanchopper17 · 10/03/2022 20:37

@SGChome20 amazing news! I bet that was a weight off your mind!

Yes covid has left the building! Just plodding on, might take a little break from ttcing for a cycle or 2, the faint line stuff has driven me mad.
