First month ttc.. who's with me?!

Hi guys! So I'm starting this thread because this is my first month ttc number baby 4 😊 my youngest is 6 so it's been a while! I'm 33 so that's another factor is age. I am currently on my predicted ovulation day with a af date of 5th jan 2022. Babydust to all ❤️

31 and this is our first month ttc after a MC in May and a eptopic in June. Had a rough year but me and my OH are ready to try again :)
My predicted OD is 24th with Flo and 25th with FF lol so I'm a couple of days behind you

@Dreamer30 hey I'm sorry it's been rough for you. I had an ectopic and tubal removal so I know the pain. I had my daughter a year after that and that was 7 years ago now so I'm nervous to be ttc again! Be nice to share the journey x

Sorry to hear that you've also experienced it, it's painful both physically and emotionally. It must be a comfort knowing you can still conceive just the same with one tube 😊 my daughter is 12yo so it's a huge age gap lol but I definitely want more children as does my partner and we're excited. I'm just not excited about the tww lol seems the longest 2 weeks ever!

It is a comfort but since then Iv gotten older put on weight etc so I'm worried it won't be easy to concieve.. I thought I was done having baby's but I'd love a little sibling for our daughter fingers crossed! Oh I know I'm 1 day past ovulation so just entering my 2ww and it's going to drag 😑 I don't know wether to have a little drink this Xmas or New Years 😅

Hiya, 31 here with an 18 month old. This is my first month TTC, ovulation date was 21/12. I've been feeling very stressed with work these last few days so Im worried that might impact my chances this month.

@ambi88 I think I'll be having a wee drink at xmas lol not sure about new year.

@mollie5 stress can sometimes throw off your cycle but if you've already ovulated then that good! Try relax over xmas if you can

It's so nerve wracking isn't it! I'm trying not to get my hopes up as it's our first month trying.. I have pregnancy tests at the ready but no ov tests 🙈 but I felt I ovulated as I had the pains.
What date is everyone testing? Are you testing before af? Or waiting to see if the witch shows up?

I planned on testing on 7th Jan (af due) but as it stands I STILL haven't ovulated! 🤔 the lines are getting darker though lol I think it'll be tomorrow now instead of today.
When ttc before I was testing from 7dpo lol but I'll try hold out

Hello! Excited to start ttc for the first time, though trying to keep realistic, my sister fell pregnant last Christmas on her first try but I know not everyone is so lucky! I'm on CD9 and not sure when I will ovulate as it's only my second cycle since coming off the pill. I've also been coming off migraine medication, and have been dealing with some nasty side effects - all will be worth it though! Looking forward to sharing this journey with you all.

Hi Can I join too? I am 39 with a 9year old. Just got the implant out on 20/12/21 and period started yesterday so hoping for ovulation soon. Think I need a chart with all the abbreviations on the page lol! With my first I got pregnant after nearly a year and really hoping it doesn’t take as long this time!

Lol I used to be the same. The basics are: AF - Aunt Flo (period) TTC - Trying To Conceive OD - Ovulation Day CD - Cycle Day OH - Other Half DH/DP - Darling Husband/Partner DD/DD - Darling Daughter/Son BFP - Big Fat Positive (test) BFN - Big Fat Negative (test)

That's all I can think of at the moment lol

I'm 28 and the same situ as you @Sassy144 my sister fell pregnant last December on their first month of TTC so also feeling this extra little bit of pressure (on/from myself).
I've been using the Clearblue OPK and I have finally got a static smiley face this morning on CD18 after 10 days of testing! My cycle is 28-30 days long so I think the average should be CD14-15.
I've never tracked my ovulation day in terms of exactly where it falls in my cycle before but I was getting worried as on my Flo app it predicted CD15 for me and I had 8 flashing smileys and was worried I'd never get the status smiley/LH surge! But here we are, finally 😊

Yes it does make us feel the extra pressure doesn't it (from ourselves), you never know - we might be just as lucky! I'm 28 too! I wasn't going to use OPKs as I can get a bit obsessed but yesterday just had a niggling urge to check as I had a few ovulation signs and I had a static smiley, eek. Let's see what happens 💛

I'm confused so I had my period Dec 22 for 24 hours normal period 3 pad changes I tested on the 15th because I was 34 days late then and negative but I'm getting symptoms like I did when I was pregnant and last.two years ago but with out the heavy death like pain which is weird I know I'm not bit something in my brain is telling me I am and when I think about it or talk my stomach cramps and the cramps only started after my period and I've been getting lots of discharge too idk maybe I'm crazy

I’m 31 & this would be our first. Recently came off the pill but cycle settled quite quickly, so started ttc this month.

1st day of my cycle this month was December 8 so my app predicted ovulation around 19-24 December (I ovulated on 25 November) so dtd 3 times…

Anyone have any symptoms? I have lower back pain which may or may not be related - who knows? I’m not sure when is best to test.

@Sassy144 fingers crossed we are! Amazing we're the same age too. Ah that's amazing and a much better scenario than mine I was getting annoyed each morning when it was still flashing away at me! But I should've known really, I've known for a couple of years when I ovulate and didn't have the signs til the day of the static 🤷🏽‍♀️

@BlueSky57 I have lower back pain today too and it's not like any I've had before and I ovulated Sunday/Monday so potentially 🤷🏽‍♀️ it's all so confusing cause are we just noticing things we do always get but wouldn't notice usually..!?

I also have lower back pain lol I usually get it just before af but it's been sore the past 2 days

@ChaiLatte28 @Dreamer30 that’s so strange how we all have the lower back pain! I am hoping it’s a sign of a BFP, although I feel as though I’d surely have some other symptoms too? Do you have any other symptoms?

@BlueSky57 hopefully! Although I can get ahead of myself with symptom spotting lol. I have terrible heartburn but that comes and goes too 💁‍♀️😅 still too early for any real symptoms as they say you don't implant until at least 7dpo but it's hard not to lol

Hi girls I have a few symptoms.. so I have period like cramps and I'm not due af for another 8 days, feel sick on and off and tired but I feel it's too early to feel anything yet I'm only 7dpo lol. I'm trying not to get my hopes up as it's only first cycle but literally everyone around me is announcing pregnancy news 🥺 fingers crossed for us all. When are you all testing? I'm going to wait until af is late so probably the 5th or 6th

@Ambi88 same here with the announcements, luckily nobody knows we are trying so I don't have that extra stress. It's hard to not think about every potential symptom isn't it! I'm going to try and resist testing until the 8th Jan but whether I make it to that or not I'm not sure!
