@HelloPippa men just do not get it in my experience. When we were ttc #1 my DH didn’t really even talk about it at all. I started to wonder if he was really invested in the whole process but as soon as I got pregnant he was all over it. I think because it’s not their bodies and they’re not symptom spotting like we are obviously. He did later admit that he’d been worrying about being able to get me pregnant while I was worrying about my body not being able to support a pregnancy.

MintSticks · 14/12/2021 15:15

10dpo here. Took a FRER this morning and was a BFN. Period is due today according to one app and tomorrow according to another.

Symptoms: sore breast, sensitive nipple, pulling/twinges. Had spotting after DTD this afternoon and also same on Friday. Feel wired but tired, slightly nauseous this morning, hot flashes in the night.

3-6dpo I was getting dull aches and mild cramps but they have gone now.

I really feel I might be pregnant this time and getting a BFN at 10dpo doesn’t really phase me as I’ve never got an early BFN.

Fingers crossed to all for this month 🤞🏻

HelloPippa · 14/12/2021 16:34

@SGChome20 that was actually exactly what he said - I’ll get excited when it actually happens. Probably just as well, imagine how many pregnancy tests you’d get through with neither of you being able to wait!

@MintSticks fingers crossed!

Bubblegum093 · 14/12/2021 17:37

Sorry to hear about your losses girls that must have been awful to go through!!

And you can start planning for your next cycle now @HelloPippa Smile fingers crossed for you. Onwards and upwards! Will you be using opk’s?

Yes glad we all have each other to symptom spot together haha! I had cramps straight away from 1dpo-5dpo but I know that’s too early for anything to be happening Grin. Really bad lower left cramps on 5dpo and lower left back pain which is very unusual for me. No symptoms 6dpo. I’m 7dpo today and got the same lower left cramps and back pain weirdly - probably something unrelated. Just really noticing every little detail about my body atm now I’m paying attention to it haha

I’m still holding out for some Christmas bfps for us on this thread Xmas Smile

HelloPippa · 14/12/2021 18:04

@Bubblegum093 yes I have a load of the cheap ones and have been using them for the last few months just to track my ovulation more accurately via Natural Cycles. That said, I’m wondering if I just have a very short surge because most of the time I don’t seem to get a positive opk (testing once a day). My temperature seems to do all the right things though. Maybe I’ll try testing more frequently

SGChome20 · 14/12/2021 19:36

@HelloPippa some cycles I was the same with my LH surge. I seemed to miss it because I would get a line but not a strong line like they say makes an opk positive. That’s when I bit the bullet and got the clear blue ones because they track 2 hormones. However on this cycle I just used cheapies because of my MC and didn’t have a clue when I’d ovulate and didn’t want to literally piss money away and after 3 days I got a very strong +ve opk. That could’ve just been luck or a longer window, I really don’t know. If I’m using cheapies again though I’ll definitely test twice a day.

HelloPippa · 14/12/2021 19:55

@SGChome20 I think I’m just going to go wider with the dates for DTD next month, save myself the money 😂

Bubblegum093 · 14/12/2021 20:08

My cheapie opk’s are exactly the same I got absolutely nothing during Nov so thought I hadnt O’d. They were literally white as snow Grin - I had a few faint lines this month but nowhere near the control line dark. I tried the clear blue opk Nov too and got constant flashy smiles no static so I’ve got no idea what happened during November!
I’ve carried on trying this month with the opks and managed to get a static smiley with clear blue so DTD about four nights on the bounce haha hope it did the trick!

Just managing to get my head around temping. Hopefully after a chart or two I’ll be able to read them better Smile

HelloPippa · 14/12/2021 20:45

@Bubblegum093 glad to hear you got a static! The temperature taking is useful and definitely gets more accurate over time. Maybe I just like the sense of control 😂

Frida9 · 14/12/2021 20:50

Hi, hope I'm ok to join.

7 dpo for me, been getting cramps on and off for the last week but I don't know if it means anything as I tend to get that normally.

I'm quite new to TTC, how early can you usually test and get an accurate result? Different websites are giving different answers and there's so much to read! Smile

HelloPippa · 14/12/2021 21:16

Welcome @Frida9! I thought this was a good article www.avawomen.com/avaworld/how-soon-can-you-take-a-pregnancy-test/

Bubblegum093 · 14/12/2021 21:19

Me too I think I’m an addict now to taking it every morning 😂... and hoping it stays high for me now

Welcome @Frida9 - same as me I’m 7dpo too! I think for best results it’s best to wait for the day your period is due / 14dpo. I might test on 10 or 12dpo though I don’t think I can hold restraint for another week 😂

Bubblegum093 · 14/12/2021 21:21

Sorry didn’t see your post with the link @HelloPippa - so handy! I’m gonna have a good read of it now aswell

Frida9 · 14/12/2021 21:26

Thank you @HelloPippa will give that a read.
Trying not to obsess or get stressed but it's hard when my sister decided she wanted to get pregnant and then got pregnant first month trying, I'm really happy for her and I love my niece but it's easy to wish I had that for myself. Hopefully this month will be a bfp, af due on Christmas day!

SGChome20 · 15/12/2021 08:53

@Frida9 welcome! I posted this website before www.countdowntopregnancy.com/pregnancy-test/ which I found useful. I’ve seen it posted on here a few times. It doesn’t stop you testing early right enough 😂😂

ladycarlotta · 15/12/2021 11:39

hello all, please can I join you? I'm about 6dpo after a year of miscarriages and chemicals. Now I do OPKs I can see that I actually ovulate quite late in my cycle and have a short luteal phase so I'm hoping that knowing that might make a difference. I've started on cyclogest to hopefully help my uterus lining thicken faster.

Anyway, fingers crossed for us all! I hope this is our month x

HelloPippa · 15/12/2021 15:35

Welcome @ladycarlotta, sorry to hear it’s taken so long so far. What day do you typically ovulate, if you don’t mind me asking?

ladycarlotta · 15/12/2021 17:46

@hellopippa around day 19 of a 30 day cycle

HelloPippa · 15/12/2021 18:59

I am the same! I didn’t realise it was a little on the late side until starting this process

SGChome20 · 16/12/2021 08:39

@ladycarlotta hopefully being on progesterone will help and you’ll get a wee sticky bean soon. Must have been a really tough year.

How’s everyone getting on? I’m holding off till tomorrow to test again. I’ll be 15dpo so if I didn’t get a +ve then I think I’m definitely out. I’ve been getting diarrhoea (tmi!) which is really unusual for me and still no sign of AF so definitely classed as late now. I felt a b it nauseous last night as well but then I think it’s really too early for that so I think I’m reality I’ve just indulged in too many sugary xmas treats as I normally don’t really and it’s upset my stomach. Time will tell!

HelloPippa · 16/12/2021 08:49

@SGChome20 keeping everything crossed for you. I’m on AF now so just waiting it out!

Hannabanana2021 · 16/12/2021 10:23

10DPO and started spotting and cramping today. I reckon I'm out and it's the start of AF. Negative test yesterday. This is the first cycle after early miscarriage so I don't think I was expecting much to happen :( this cycle I'm going to start charting BBT and being more on the ball with Premom OPKs. My body has been all over the place since Nexplanon removal in Sept Sad

Bubblegum093 · 16/12/2021 16:38

Welcome @ladycarlotta ☺️ So sorry to hear of your miscarriages and chemicals, that must be so tough to deal with. It sounds positive about learning more about your cycle though and fingers crossed the cyclogest will help.

Will be thinking of you tomorrow @SGChome20 when you do your test. Let us know how you get on!

Oh no @Hannabanana2021 I’m sorry to hear about your miscarriage too. It’s just soo awful for anyone to go through! I started BBT this month & still wrapping my head around it but can be a useful insight into your cycle. I came off the pill in sept after being on it around 12yrs so get what you mean about body being all over the place!

I caved this morning at 9dpo to do a test - as suspected was a BFN. Too early but couldn’t help myself incase there was a very faint line. Its made me think this month is over for me now even though I know it’s still early days 😔

I've just had a positive test. It was completely negative yesterday and I am bleeding. After just mentally recovering from my miscarriage in my last cycle I'm going out of my mind. I'm so scared and just want to cry Sad
HelloPippa · 16/12/2021 17:30

@Hannabanana2021 I am certainly no expert here but fingers crossed for you that the positive result sticks! It seems entirely possible that it would have been negative yday still at 9DPO and positive today.
