Looking for some positive vibes from others that have been through similar 💫I had a miscarriage in June, had my first period last month. Tracked ovulation and ttc straight away this month, feeling deflated as af has arrived right on time tonight 😢

@LaForza101 sorry for your loss.

I had a mmc a few years ago and my cycle was completely messed up after my surgery and up until I conceived again, which was 8 months.

So I finally gave in a s for some HCG tests, tested with FMU this morning and no hint of a line. Really horrible seeing a BFN after the last tests I did but I’m glad that the hormones seem to have settled. That’s just over 4 weeks since D&C. No sign of OV yet though either…. I just so want things to get back to normal so I know where I am 😵‍💫 xX

Thanks @Chanel05, that has calmed me down a lot. I'll try and accept that it might just be taking my body a while to recover

Hello - can I join?

I had a MMC at ten weeks at the beginning of August. We too had seen the heartbeat at a scan at eight weeks in July; we think the baby died just a few days after that.

I was 'lucky' I guess in that my cycles returned to 'normal' quite quickly afterwards: I ovulated three weeks after the D&C and had my first period at the start of September. But it meant I placed a lot of pressure on myself mentally the next month - I was really hoping that we would get pregnant again straightaway and was very upset when my period arrived again at the end of September. We conceived on the second month of trying in June and I think that also gave me some false hope since the MC - that we would conceive quickly again. I tried to keep my expectations lower last month. Am now on CD2 of my fourth cycle since the miscarriage.

To add insult to injury, the MC happened just a few days before my 40th birthday. TTC at 40 does seem different somehow to TTC at 39. And I've read the dreadful statistic that chance of miscarriage increases to 50% once you're over the age of 40, though I know the risk doesn't increase overnight. If we did conceive this month, the baby would be due a few days before I turn 41 - and just a couple of days after we lost our first baby.

I read 'It starts with an Egg' and am taking the supplements it recommends - ubiquinol, vitamin d, Zita West prenatals with DHA, extra folate.

Wishing everyone on this thread comfort xx

I am so sorry to hear about your daughter, @Beck208. I can't imagine the pain you've been going through Flowers

Thank you @cunningplan101 I know it sounds awful but I'm just so desperate to have a baby, nothing will replace her but it might just take some of the pain away Sad

So sorry to read these. I had 2 miscarriages last year. My consultant was just so lovely and did all the major bleed tests (clotting disorders etc) for me despite "only having 2". If you can get them done, it really helped me to ttc again in the knowledge that I felt strong and knew that my body was ok. I needed that reassurance to try again snd I'm now 22+2. I'm well aware things can still go wrong but I'm taking it a day at a time.

Sorry for all your losses. I'm 40 and just had a dnc mid July for an mmc discovered at 9 weeks. I have had 2 cycles since and just tested yesterday at 9dpo (see image). I can't recommend preseed enough..... wishing you all the best of luck. I know how painful the waiting and hoping can be....

@broodymamma congrats on the BFP!! What is preseed?

Report
broodymamma · 02/11/2021 13:49

It's a sperm friendly lubricant.

Got my peak OPK this morning!

We used conceive plus lube the month we conceived last time which is like preseed so have been using that again this month 🤞🏼

Hi everyone, I'd like to join this thread too, I have ready many of your posts and can relate to so many of your stories.

We are ttc #2, I am 38 and our DS just turned 3. We started ttc 18 months ago and have so far had four miscarriages all in the first trimester (the first after we had seen a heart beat)... we've also done one round of IVF but didn't even get any viable embryos (we did genetic testing for chromosomal abnormalities).

I've had all the usual fertility tests and the only known issue is low AMH and therefore crappy eggs. But I do know that some women with low AMH do have successful pregnancies.

We'll keep trying naturally (no more IVF), am currently 8dpo and not feeling at all pregnant. I'm taking coenzyme q10 and n acetyl cysteine, baby aspirin and progesterone also folic acid and vitamin b13. Have done some acupuncture. Don't drink much alcohol and hardly consume any caffeine. I know the chances of us having a second baby are slim to nil but keep hoping for miracle rainbow...

Sending baby dust to all of you and good luck on your journeys!

If anyone has any success stories of women with low AMH having babies I would really love to hear them please!

I had a mmc 13 months ago, it took us 10 months to conceive. We've been trying again for the last 4 months and I'm on day 4 of my current cycle. I just find it so hard every month when AF arrives not to crumble a bit and just spend the days I'm on my period in bed feeling horribly sorry for myself.

I know that realistically we haven't been TTC for long this time considering how long it took us last time, as well as my age (nearly 37) and weight (I've been losing weight since my mmc but still have an obese BMI).

It's so hard - especially when everyone else in my life just seems to look at their partner and get pregnant. I've just had day 3 bloods and I've got an appointment for my day 21 bloods in a few weeks, so hopefully if I'm not pregnant again soon I can have some tests and find out a bit more about why.

Just wanted to add a message of hope

I had a MMC which was discovered at a 12 week scan, followed by a D&C 3 weeks later. 3 months after I got a BFP but unfortunately it was a chemical pregnancy

However, 4 months after that I got pregnant again and DS is 13 next month

Just wanted to wish you all loads of luck and I will be thinking of you

So much love to everyone 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
All of your stories break my heart completely but help me know that we’re not alone in this. The self judgement is the worst when it creeps in… why me? What’s wrong with me? What did I do wrong??? It helps to get rid of those doubts at least 🙏🏼🙏🏼

Still no sign of OV or AF - 5 weeks post D&C today so I guess it’s still early but I’m desperate to get back to normal and know where I am.

Just to add to the trauma my dog went missing at the weekend!! He’s been found thank god but it was 36 hours of constant searching, no sleep, not eating, terrible worry…. I’d forgotten how to hope and lost faith in happy endings but he got found!!! And he’s ok ❤️❤️❤️
Oddly, it’s kind of restored my faith in happy endings, I feel more hopeful because of it!

Believe ladies, our happy endings WILL come xxxxxxx

Oh @Kelb79, I know exactly what you mean about being in post-mc limbo. I'm so sorry.

I'm also so pleased you found your dog! I remember one of our pooches going walkabout when I was a kid and it was awful. So much stress!

Honestly mc makes it feel like the universe is out to get you - in the last few weeks our heating has broken twice, our house alarm has malfunctioned (went off constantly for several hours), I've had a cold and my daughter has had a cold and now a vomiting bug. Plus my husband has been working all hours on a horrible project, so I've had less support and am just so tired. TTC has been impossible and yet I'm so desperate to be pregnant again.

Sorry for the rant, and you're right, in the long run, these things are temporary. Good luck - I hope AF arrives soon so you can get out of limbo. ❤❤❤

Hi ladies I am 2 weeks on since my MMC at ten weeks. The bleeding has now stopped however I'm still getting faint lines on pregnancy tests. Is it possible for this to decrease even tho I have stopped bleeding? Do I leave it until 3 weeks to test Or should I ring epu. I presumed once bleeding had stopped my test would be negative. So currently stuck in limbo. Thanks. X

Hi @Skl2021 I had tfmr at 12 weeks not miscarriage but my hcg tests took about 5 weeks to turn negative, I would test again in a week and it should be fainter/negative. It's really crap seeing bfp after even though you know you're not :(

Report
Skl2021 · 03/11/2021 12:56

@Bellesjp oh no I'm sorry. Such a crap position to be in getting positives for that long 😩 I'm testing negative on 20mu ones but positive in 10mu ones so I know it's low. I was just worried about there being retained tissue left. I had a natural miscarriage and haven't had any follow up scans or anything. Does this also mean I won't ovulate until tests go back to negative? I just want it all done now and try and move on. X

Report
Bellesjp · 03/11/2021 13:24

@Skl2021 that's good that it's only showing on 10mu ones, hopefully it won't be long now. I have heard you can ovulate when it gets below a certain level but don't know if that's true or not. It's horrible to not want to see a bfp after all this time of praying for one isn't it. I was told it's normal to take up to 4 weeks so as long as it's getting fainter then hopefully you've not got any retained tissue.

Mine stayed very faint for a few weeks then I got my period and it was bfn, have ovulated today on cd18 of my new cycle which is normal for me so hoping it's gone back to normal now.
