How long did it take you?

I’m 25 and hoping to start trying very soon.
I’ve been doing research as I don’t want to get my hopes up if I don’t fall pregnant soon after trying. How long did it take you? 😊

6 months age 30, end in MMC

6 months age 31 - successful pregnancy

Had not been on any contraception for years so cycle was already sorted

Wow all these responses make me feel like it took me ages! Pretty much bang on 12 months here to conceive DS (age 31) but it didn’t feel like it took that long.

First sex in the first month with my 2 children.
I know how unbelievably lucky I am though.

32 - DD conceived after 2 cycles
35 - currently ttc DC no.2, on cycle 5. Periods returned 7 months ago and have settled down down the last 2 months. Fingers crossed

First try both times (just before 28th birthday and 31).

1 and 2 months at 31 and 33; 5 months at 38 (though very early days).

19 - wasn’t trying, so unplanned pregnancy but the best thing that ever happened to me, I have an incredible 16 year old daughter.

23 - 11 months

35 - TTC #3 at the moment, had my coil removed 2 weeks ago

I was pregnant within a couple of weeks of coming off the pill using the 'just shagging' method, which I can highly recommend.

Stopped pill, got pregnant instantly. We only needed to smile at one another and that was it.

First try both times. Ages 32 and 34

Thank you again everyone! We are currently TTC on our 2nd month now. Using the Flo app to help and doing ovulation tests. Came off the pill in July but didn’t have a period until last month so I didn’t know what my body was doing yet 😂
Will keep you posted if I get my BFP this month or not! Fingers crossed! Xx

1st (due Jan) - age 34, 3 months. 2 really of ‘proper trying’! xo

Age 38 - six months.
Age 40 - still trying after six months!

35 - accident, missed some contraception pills
38 - 3 years

1st age 19 - 1 month
2nd age 23 - first try ended in mmc
3rd age 28 - 2 years
4th age 29 - fell pregnant 8 weeks after having my daughter...Happy oops

We started trying this year in Sept but didn’t get pregnant until November, so 3 months.

In November we only DTD once on the first day of my ovulation window and then I got thrush the next day so I ruled myself out. And the day we did manage to try, it happened spontaneously whereas the other months it felt more like we were ‘trying’. By November I was a bit more ‘meh’ if it happens it happens sort of thing. So I don’t know if that helped!

1st 3 months
2nd 4 months

I was 32 and with 1st and 34 with second

First try age 40 - literally had my birthday, thought I’d left it late but worth a try, and was pregnant by the next month. We were totally prepared for nothing to happen but got lucky.

4 years - pregnant when I was 41. Second baby conceived 6 months later (not expecting to get pregnant a second time).

Dc1 - 1st cycle
Dc2 - 1 evening
Dc3 - 5 cycles
Now on cycle 6 of ttc dc4

Dd 14 we was not trying to get pregnant so can't put a time frame on it really.
Ds 4 it took us 10 years to conceive.
Ds 2 months again we was not trying to get pregnant didn't want a baby during covid.
