So the dreaded 2 week wait begins and really would like some cycle buddies while we wait Smile

Little back ground, I am 36 and we have been trying for about 10years, can't get any help from the nhs for investigation etc because I am over weight (I keep trying and failing). I have insulin resistance PCOS and under active thyroid.

I have only been lucky enough to get pregnant once in 10years back in 2019 but sadly lost the pregnancy at 7 weeks.

Sadly mentally it's been a huge struggle, but I have my prescribed meds increased (metaformin etc) and taking a number of supplements. And for the first time since my periods began I have had 2 cycles that exactly the same length in a row, so the meds must be doing something!

Would love to get to know some others and your fertility journey 😀

That's a long time - but I'm sure you, too, will succeed in this! Have you tried eating plant based for a while? I did this when my periods were super painful and strong, and I've lost some weight + periods are now much better!

We are on our 9th month of trying to conceive baby #1. I'm 14dpo, period was due today. Yesterday on 13dpo I had some spotting and today there's absolutely nothing. 😑 So idk what's happening. I'll try to refrain from testing because I have a feeling AF is just messing with me and will come eventually. 😐

monkeyy97 · 17/09/2021 15:06

Hey! My 2 week wait has just started too 😊

Cycle 7 for us... used pre seed this month for the first time 🤞🏻

weathervane123 · 17/09/2021 15:41

Hi all! Annoyingly, my dpo is a little uncertain, despite tracking. I'm either 2 or 3 dpo today.

I missed an overnight peak on Monday, so expected to O on Tuesday. Think it happened on Weds now, due to discomfort and terrible mood (did not DTD that day unfortunately), but on Thursday I had some yellowy brown discharge after DTD (sorry if TMI), and as I never spot mid-cycle, now I think maybe a 4cm cyst I have in my right ovary burst and the discomfort I felt was mostly due to that acting up. Angry It was different than the localised twinges I usually get. I'm just grateful that if it was a rupture, it didn't cause me lots of pain at the time.

So, I'm in the TWW but not at all hopeful. This comes after three losses in April, June (ectopic), and August. We conceive easily, but I can't seem to hold on to them. I'm the wrong side of 38, which is probably to blame, and ttc #1.

@beanchopper17, sorry to hear about your loss and your tough journey. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you and all of us. Here's to a lucky thread!

Pugmumm · 17/09/2021 17:10

I'm here on 2 week wait also SmileBrew

beanchopper17 · 18/09/2021 00:50

Sorry for the late reply, got caught up in work stuff 🤦🏼‍♀️

Lovely to see so many people needing company too in the 2 week wait 😊

By the way I personally don't feel there is anything too TMI, sometimes you just got to say it how it is 😂

Even though my fertility journey hasn't been easy (and extremely long) I am actually feeling very positive about this cycle, we did as much as we possibly could do, my meds seem to be doing the right things so now it's just a case of waiting (and hopefully not driving myself mad symptom spotting)!

So I think I believe I am 3dpo, how about everyone else? Are you trying for your first, second, third?

OP posts:
monkeyy97 · 18/09/2021 07:29

@beanchopper17

I'm also feeling very positive about this cycle too ☺️

This is for our first... I had a surprise pregnancy in feb which sadly ended for us which then prompted us to actually start trying as we realised we really wanted to have a baby 😊
I'm only either 1/2 DPO

beanchopper17 · 19/09/2021 10:22

@monkeyy97 sorry to hear about your loss, it can be so tough. How have you found ttcing?

So I checked my tracker and I actually think I am 5dpo today (so confusing as I got 2 positive opk's 2 days in a row). I am trying to stop myself from symptom spotting!

How long do you ladies like to leave it before you test, I try to leave it as long as possible, but I have very little will power 😂

@beanchopper17

Some months I've been really positive about it... and other months like this month I have found really hard. Had a lot of friends announce and it just breaks my heart that it's not me yet.
How about you?

beanchopper17 · 19/09/2021 10:47

@monkeyy97 I feel ya!!! As you can image over the 10years had to deal with a lot of announcements 😆 still breaks my heart, I have now seemed counselling to help me deal with the overwhelming emotions I feel when dealing with announcements and people's pregnancies.

The hardest in 2019 when I suffered my loss at 7 weeks (the only pregnancy I have ever had), my sister in law announced she was 14 weeks pregnant. I struggle to be round the little one, because all I can think is my little one would only be a little behind them and I can't help but daydream what if!

Best advice I can give, if it gets too much seeing everyone else succeed is to step back from forums, social media etc. Plan some things to look forward to, even date nights or pamper sessions!

I wish some days I could turn off this need to be a mum, but I can't let go of the hope and that keeps me going.

Hi! Joining if you don't mind.. 6DPO cycle 6 x

beanchopper17 · 20/09/2021 19:33

@ttc19 welcome!

How we all feeling? Going mad yet?

I am trying to ignore an usual ache/weighty feeling in my lower area (mainly on the left side) I know after all these years I know I can't be that lucky! I have gone from super positive feeling to a completely negative and thinking it be an absolute miracle 🤦🏼‍♀️

monkeyy97 · 27/09/2021 09:53

Hi all... how is everyone?

Update from my end... currently 10 DPO and look!!! Can't quite believe it

ttc19 · 27/09/2021 10:03

@monkeyy97 Congratulations! I sooo thought this month was our month but apparently not 😞

monkeyy97 · 27/09/2021 10:06

@ttc19

The only different thing we did this month was we used PreSeed! Didn't expect it to happen straight away 🥺

beanchopper17 · 27/09/2021 11:43

@monkeyy97 how amazing! Congrats!!!!

Preseed is something we have thought about trying, nice to hear positive results (quite literally)!

12/13dpo and bfn negative this morning (no shocker) 🤦🏼‍♀️

OP posts:
dorris88 · 27/09/2021 16:16

jumping on - what is preseed?

beanchopper17 · 27/09/2021 16:19

@dorris88 it's a lubricant that can be used during your ovulation that helps the sperm travel. As normal lubes can hinder the swimming ability

OP posts:
monkeyy97 · 27/09/2021 16:23

Thank you @beanchopper17 🥺🥰

@dorris88... you can get it on Amazon!!

2 week wait begins- would love some company!
dorris88 · 27/09/2021 16:25

@monkeyy97 @beanchopper17

Whats the purpose of it? Is it something to increase fertility? Or is it just if you need lube, its the best one to use?

beanchopper17 · 27/09/2021 16:31

@dorris88 it helps the sperm swimming, to get them to the egg.

If you google preseed it may explain it a little more detailed

Chivari · 27/09/2021 18:53

Hi ladies, please can I join?

Currently month 2 TTC baby no.2 and at the end of the TWW! I’m due AF on Wednesday and I’ve been having lower back ache, tingling nipples, cramps and general moodiness for a few days now. I feel like this month isn’t our month either, and I’m trying not to get disappointed. Never been in this situation before as we caught first time with our DD.

Thinking if AF arrives this month, I might try OPK’s next month. Has anyone got any tips of the best brands to use?

Thanks 😘

beanchopper17 · 27/09/2021 20:22

@Chivari personally I have been using easy@home for years and even with pcos I find them very reliable! Have you been using any apps to track your cycles, I highly recommend clue or glow 😊

Bob2971 · 28/09/2021 12:33

Hi everyone hope it’s ok if I jump on. Had a chemical pregnancy two months ago, cycle back to normal last month then this month I am two days late but still bfn I will be 14dpo so not holding out too much hope but fingers crossed 🥺

dorris88 · 28/09/2021 12:38

When is the prime time to do a pregnancy test? How many days passed ovulation?

monkeyy97 · 28/09/2021 12:41

@dorris88

I got my faint positive at 9DPO 😊
