Is anyone here going through secondary infertility? Some days I feel like giving up 😢. 6 months trying, a fibroid resection surgery and still nothing 😢

I don't have a positive story yet but I'm still trying to keep a positive mind frame and hopeful that it'll happen soon ❤.
I'm unexplained secondary infertility and I haven't managed to fall pregnant naturally so I resorted to IVF last March. I was very blessed to end up with 7 lovely embryos. First transfer I got pregnant but miscarriage at 6 weeks. Second transfer failed and just had third transfer last week which unfortunately failed again. I'm hoping to have another transfer this year. Praying for a Christmas miracle 🥰.

Good luck to those still trying and congratulations to those who have already been blessed ❤

Congratulations @user1489320949. Always lovely to hear there's some hope.

I fell pregnant twice since the thread, but both ended in miscarriages. The doctor thinks it's to do with blood clots.

Hi ladies,

Im just wondering how you all got on?

im 36 and conceived my 3 year old DS on the first cycle trying. When he was 15 months old we started trying for a sibling and got pregnant that month. We lost her at 18 weeks in feb 2021 and I haven’t managed to get pregnant since!!! I’ve tried clomid: a hyterscopy: and nothing has worked! Oh and cyclogest after ovulation as I’ve ended up with spotting for a whole week before my period. Most people start the cyclogest. It stops the spotting and they get pregnant but not for me.

Im starting IVF In the new year but I feel worried.

Hi @Loz2467
I'm so sorry about your loss.

I started IVF beginning of the year after trying naturally for years without any success. First transfer I got pregnant but it ended in a miscarriage, second and third transfer failed. Our fourth transfer is positive. It still early days but I'm praying this little one stay with us.
I actually felt that IVF took a huge weight off my shoulders as I know they are taking care of everything. I don't have to worry about tracking ovulation and timing baby dance.

If you're Spotting when on progesterone maybe you're not getting enough. But the only way to find that out is by having blood test.

Good luck 🌈

@Angie887 Thanks so much for replying! :) gentle congrats on your latest transfer and wishing you a happy and healthy 9 months!

This is what I’m thinking. I have to give it a try. I don’t want to turn around and ever regret not trying IVF but I think I want to kind of put a limit on it but we will see how we get on. I just didn’t know if to have a laproscopy first but given my age - nearly 37 maybe I should go straight to IVF. I’m just worried incase the brown spotting is endo with no other symptoms.

Hi all - just wondering if you found out you could get pregnant but your eldest was already ten years old - would you go for it?
