How's everyone doing? No news here. 'Fertile' week. 🤔

Got my repeat ultrasound with fertility specialist nurse on 3rd Nov and go from there. Feels like a long wait which is silly really, especially with half term in between.

kerrym87 · 16/10/2021 10:08

I've got a telephone appt next week with fertility nurses to tell me the schedule for January's ivf cycle, scared but want to get going but actually feeling hopeful and scared about being positive in case it doesn't work! Also in tww on second lot of letrozole.@feliznavidad2 we are now a year since being referred to fertility clinic

paintfairy · 16/10/2021 15:03

@feliznavidad2 I feel like I've been staying this ivf cycle for 100 years and my baseline scan still isn't until next Wednesday. Yet I've been injecting for 2 weeks now which feels like plenty long enough!

crazycatlady1981 · 16/10/2021 18:07

Hi ladies! Sorry I’ve been awol for a while! Thank you for all your lovely messages 💕
Feeling much better since I had the withdrawal bleed, I was an emotional mess before that, just blubbing at everything!
We’ve decided to do another final round of ivf in the new year. We’re moving to Wiltshire in Dec so focusing on the move for now and once we’re settled in, we can get going again. Our follow up is on 3rd nov so will hopefully get some feedback on our previous rounds and how we can improve things going forward.

@5DollarShakes I’m so sorry to hear your news, that’s just awful, sending lots of love. I totally understand your feelings about being able to get pregnant and it’s good that you can take something positive from it.

@feliznavidad2 I’m also a spotter in my luteal phase. Usually 7 days before af is due, like clockwork the spotting appears. Do you ladies who get spotting also get cramping too? I usually get cramps and that signals the start of spotting.

@paintfairy good luck with your baseline scan on Wednesday!

@kerrym87 great to hear that you are getting your schedule for January!

Marvellouslymadmum · 16/10/2021 22:16

@crazycatlady1981 glad you're feeling a bit better now, moving and having another go sounds like a good plan!

Not much to report here, 11dpo temps up and lots of creamy cm bit been here so many times before, just awaiting af so I can start my clomid next week 🤞🏻

I am going to ask at appt next week but did anyone get antisickness meds prescribed for the hormone injections? I have observed and get a really yukky stomach in luteal phase anyway (used to make me think I was pregnant.. ...how naive I was!). I'm apprehensive about side effects as due to work, ME and IBS its a crappy combo to start with, what did you all experience? X

Motherofkittens28 · 18/10/2021 16:50

@kerrym87 i didn't notice that the hormone injections made me sick on any of my rounds, maybe I was just lucky. My observation is that Dr's are pretty reluctant to prescribe antisickness if there is any chance of pregnancy, I certainly only got given it once I was throwing up 5 times a day and couldn't even keep water down!

Annny27 · 18/10/2021 19:34

Quick selfish update:

Surgery done 🥳🥳🥳

Endometriosis found on my right ovary and they removed the endo. And my tubes were flushed and clear 🙌 both times I have been pregnant its been left ovary so hopefully now with that removed I get more of a chance!

Marvellouslymadmum · 18/10/2021 19:42

@Annny27 that's great news! That's exactly why I want them to do my lap - I complained at the gp the other day and she reluctantly agreed to send a letter to the gynae department so 🤞🏻

Annny27 · 18/10/2021 19:44

@marvellouslymadmum I am glad they eventually decided to send a referral for you! The wsiting list was so long here, took 6 months and even them it was a last minute cancellation! I should have been waiting till January if I was in the noraml queue

Marvellouslymadmum · 18/10/2021 19:45

@Annny27 not sure it's a referal as such more just a letter telling them I really want one lol will see what happens! She told me the wait here is well over a year so may well be far too late by then anyway so I can only hope my clomid may work

Motherofkittens28 · 18/10/2021 20:46

@Annny27 that's great news! Apparently it's easier to get pregnant from the right ovary because it's a shorter journey to the uterus. Sounds weird but I read it somewhere!

Juno231 · 18/10/2021 21:41

@Annny27 great news! I had endo removed from my left ovary back in April. How are you finding recovery?

@crazycatlady1981 I'm so glad you're a bit better now and the move to Wiltshire sounds exciting - my OH used to be based there and the countryside is 😍

"Fertile week" here as well. Just waiting until our first IVF appointment next week on Tuesday.

Annny27 · 18/10/2021 23:37

Ladies who have had laproscopy - I bled after like 2ndn day of 0eriod time of bleed thata tappering off now. Doctor said it was expected. But I wondered when and if I will get my period? I am 5/6dpo so would be expecting my period in 10 days or so, does it go all weird after lapraroscopy?

@juno231 yeah I am feeling okay - was sore qhen breathing in earlier in my rib and shoulder, think the has pain everyone talks about! But that seems to have reduced now 🙏 how long did your stitches last?

@marvellouslymadmuk yes hopefully the clomid helps and you wont actually need it!

@motherofkittens28 oh thats fascinating!!! We learn so much ttc haha

Annny27 · 18/10/2021 23:38

@Marvellouslymadmum meant to tag you in above post but it came out weird

kerrym87 · 19/10/2021 06:10

@Annny27 that great, I also had it removed from an ovary! Made dtd much more enjoyable too as pain went .....fingers crossed

paintfairy · 19/10/2021 20:19

@Annny27 great news. Hopefully this will make the difference for you.

Annny27 · 19/10/2021 20:48

@kerrym87 that's promissing! I know my ovary was sort of adhered to the pelvic wall so hopefully now it's free sex will be better!

@paintfairy thank you! How are you keeping?

Marvellouslymadmum · 19/10/2021 23:20

@Annny27 you never know!! I'm hoping it does otherwise by the time I've waited for a lap my eggs will be all turned to dust!

This one is for us troopers 💪💪

@marvellouslymadmum when is your period due?

No idea when mine is due now after this, currently bleeding a little bit

Bus 6 of the Donkey club! Ttc for forever helpful supportive ladies for endo/ivf/mfi etc
Motherofkittens28 · 20/10/2021 10:11

@Annny27, I've had three lapyroscopies over the years and as I recall my period arrived as normal each time.

Juno231 · 20/10/2021 10:14

@Annny27 I think if it messes with your period it's usually by delaying ovulation so hopefully you'll be okay? I don't think mine be affected my period but I'm not sure I can recall! My stitches started coming out after 6 weeks I think... My belly button one looked like it would change the shape of it permanently but it has completely gone back down. Just an FYI in case you're worried.

paintfairy · 20/10/2021 13:07

@Annny27 I'm fine thanks. It feels like the longest downreg ever but I can finally start stims tonight. Had my baseline scan this morning.

Annny27 · 20/10/2021 15:16

I find it so funny how many of us on here have had laps 🤣

Also.....had some crap nhs ivf news. Because we got pregnant and had a chemical in May......it resets the funding for another 2 years???? They said they can appeal and I will ask them too but it looks like we might have to go private if we don't conceive naturally in 6 months or so. Rather crappy tbh

@motherofkittens28 that makes sense yeah I guess as I have already ovulated, progesterone is only gonna maintain the lining for so long! How far along are you now?

@juno231 good to know haha! It does look a bit weird on the belly button but hopefully goes back to normal 🙈

@paintfairy oh exciting! How long for stimming?

Marvellouslymadmum · 20/10/2021 17:05

@Annny27 that is so true!! Af is due today/tomorrow, no sign yet but temps have slowly nosedived right down so I know she's on her wicked way - weird that I'm actually looking forward to it so I can start my tablets and get intimate with 'the probe' again 😂
I just wish I was one of you that had had the lap! It's weird how they all set their criteria so differently!
