@paintfairy oh really? See I don't know how many follicles I have 😂 funny how they all do it so differently!

@Marvellouslymadmum yeah it is? But I had 10 one side and 5 the other. So they have a starting benchmark. Amh is probably irrelevant since they will be doing it ASAP anyway and knowing won't change anything. It either will work or it won't?

Marvellouslymadmum · 27/09/2021 20:08

@paintfairy well according to a few things I've just looked at 1.3 is pretty good! I'm going to have to wait to get the Leyte through telling me which measurement it's in as I didn't ask but I think it's not too bad!

@paintfairy great news on the ivf starting soon!! Lots of people get their BFPs in the first round, especially if you get some frozen transfers in with that round too! 🤞🏻

@Marvellouslymadmum I wouldn’t worry about the AMH results, I’ve read lots of success stories with low AMH. Do you just get one go with the clomid or several cycles of it? x

The progesterone has well and truly kicked in now and is making me a bit emotional and anxious!! 😣 Only 3dpt and I’m going mad already!! 🤪

Marvellouslymadmum · 27/09/2021 20:48

@crazycatlady1981
I've got three months to start off with then another appointment.

At least you know the progesterone is doing something!

@paintfairy ooh fab update, all go now!! We only got one round too n it worked so keep the faith!
@Marvellouslymadmum thank you hun. Sorry to hear about your amh, it's not the end tho n it can still happen! Good to try clomid and defo get your afc checked like @thislittlebird says as mine was so much higher than my amh!

Wow - just catching up!

Congratulations 🥳 @5DollarShakes & @Tofu35 - how are you both feeling?

And fingers crossed for @crazycatlady1981 and @clolo, the wait is hard and long but I have high hopes for you both 💕 try to relax as much as possible x

I hope everyone is keeping well, lots of activity on here and hopefully progress towards BFPs!!!

I’m 15 weeks now, less sick than before and just generally plodding along x

Still in disbelief @polejunkie, keep wiping and expecting to see it was just a late period! My afternoons are spent being super nauseous, but luckily my work is still asking everyone to stay at home if they can.

polejunkie · 28/09/2021 10:03

@Tofu35 I was the same myself all those weeks ago!! Believe it ✨ x

paintfairy · 28/09/2021 10:57

@clolo omg - Spain sounds amazing right now!

Marvellouslymadmum · 28/09/2021 11:23

@becarefuloutthere thank you, I should get the letter through in a few days confirming which measurement the amh is in so I'll know more. I'll look into booking an afc as well 🤞🏻 Glad your belt is helping with the aches!

@polejunkie glad you're getting along ok

@clolo ideal to relax ! We're actually thinking of canary Islands mid November as they said we may start ivf dec/jan as after that we're gona be more careful to avoid testing positive despite double jabs and lateral flows! 😂 been waiting 2 years to get to ivf so an excuse not to be too social with in laws as they are social butterflies!

@clolo not much action here either except for extreme mood swings!! 😫 yesterday I had 100% decided it hadn’t worked and was super depressed and today I’m back on the hopeful train!! These emotional highs and lows are doing my nut!! 🥴 x

@paintfairy tbf amh isn't just for timeline purposes - it's primarily to gauge how well you'd respond to the meds. But I guess in your case they've gone for long protocol regardless so might have made no difference

paintfairy · 30/09/2021 12:22

@Juno231 in my case I don't think anyone cares. 🤣 That's the conclusion I've come to. But that's why they scan to see how many follicles you normally have.

paintfairy · 30/09/2021 12:48

@clolo many people have no symptoms so I wouldn't base anything on that! It's hard to be optimistic though and I can imagine you flick between feeling both ways. I did with iui actually.

So an update from me. Sigh. Getting to private clinic will be better they said. Yeah right. We've had loads of paperwork and online stuff to watch. Everything has been signed digitally. Failed at speaking to anyone since my consultant (i left voicemail and emailed). Finally got hold of them yesterday after ringing like 6 times to be told I had been signed off for this month. Drugs need to be started Saturday and have the drugs company been in touch yet. Nope? Finally heard from them this morning and earliest delivery was Monday in the online select thing, so I had to call them up. But they can get them to me on time. I hope. This is not the stress free experience I was looking for though. I feel like I've no idea what's going on at all. Initially I only need to inject buserelin but I hope to good someone is going to explain the rest of it to me after that!

@clolo no. I've a link to a video I need to watch. Guessing that shows you how to inject. As for the rest of it I've no idea. 🤷‍♀️

paintfairy · 30/09/2021 13:36

@clolo I've just watched the videos for what I need. (Buserelin, ovaleap, menopur, gonasi). I do have questions. But I think I'm OK with the buserelin so maybe when I go for my first scan, I can ask about the rest. The ovaleap says alternative days and different doses, so I'm assuming i take that every day but a slightly different dose (need to check) and the menopur looks terrifying! But I agree- its OK doing distance stuff but actually you don't want to be getting it wrong!

crazycatlady1981 · 30/09/2021 15:53

@paintfairy blimey that sounds stressful! Our injection teach was pretty rubbish tbh so you’re probably be better off watching the videos over and over!! The nurse hadn’t ever used ovaleap and didn’t have one to hand so couldn’t even pretend to show us how to use it!! 🙄 I was on buserelin, ovaleap and menopur! Buserelin is easy peasy once you get over the actual injecting yourself fear!!
Ovaleap is also quite straightforward depending on your dose and I found menopur the hardest because I had issues breaking the vials open!! 😂 got my husband to do it most days!

It’s a twingy cramps day for me today along with some major meltdowns over nothing!! 🤣🤣🤣
