RudyDudy, How long does your CD be?? My CD was 36 days last time and 35 b4 that... Fingers crossed for youxxxxx

hester, xxxxx Finger crossed for you aswell..

BeckiF, xxxxxxx*x sending you baby dust, not alot as i need some for me..

BeckiF · 03/11/2004 15:13

WE SHOULD ALL HAVE A GROUP 'THINK IN'! LOL! Pick a time and then think positive thoughts for 60 seconds all at the same time. I'm a great beleiver in PMA (Postive Mental Attitude!). The collective pwer and strength of thought ... how much like Uri Gellar do I sound?!!

valleygirl · 03/11/2004 15:47

Hi MunzieB

Thanks for thinking of me - i have decided to wait until i have a temp rise and then go for the tests a few days after, which will be half way almost into my LP phase.
what have you been told and what drugs have they prescribed?!!
i think the reality of it has sunk in now and i feel a little bit down about it, which of course is bad, cos you HAVE to be unstressed and calm!!!
So 3 weeks or so to go til i can get the blood tests done. My GP in Hackney said it will take about 4 weeks for all the tests to come back. I almost can't beleive i'm a woman with a "fertility problem" - I thought it was only meant to happen to other women!! feel really betrayed by my body.
Hoping for some more positive news from others out there soon.

hester · 03/11/2004 16:04

BeckiF - if you come up with the time and the thought, I'm your woman!

Valleygirl - I SO sympathise. Am still shocked at being a subfertile woman myself - never, ever thought I would be . Very best of luck to you.

Twiga · 03/11/2004 16:58

Hi all, and welcome to chuffed ++++++*+
Good to see you Bonkerz x

Cd8 here, not much to report. Was looking over the stats thread and Geordie at 26 and 27 it looks like we're the babies on this thread just now - quite nice as a lot of my mates are still the right side of 25 and i sometimes feel a bit ancient.

Ebbie, hope you're not too sore, think you're really brave - don't like hospitals and am pretty squeamish (ironic being married to a doc)- glad it'd nothing serious.

MommyD, hows your knee after your tumble earlier in the week?

Sallie, hope your dd is continuing to feel better x

MommyD · 03/11/2004 17:25

Twiga - thanks for remembering!! My knee is fine, thanks.
cd16, so AF a long way off... 12 days.
Don't feel pg, but who would anyway this early?

MunnzieB · 03/11/2004 17:48

Hi valley girl, Firstly don't worry U R NOT ALONE!!! lol. My dr just said to do it on CD 21. I told him when I last saw AF and he worked it out. Then said wait two weeks and we'll go from there. (this was the inital tests) that one showed I had a low amount of progesterone, apprently it needs to be 30 to prove you've OV, but after I should've OV mine was only 22 (the average for the rest of the month) so he wasn't happy and said as I was 'boarderline' we'd need to do teh test again before he would refer me to a gyno for further investigation. But as I only have one ovary, and when I was small I have major hormone troubles ( a tumour on my purtiy gland full of progesterone meaning I had to much of the female hormones) he said it'as likely i'll end up there any ways. As for drugs, he was a bit of a fence sitter as I say. I think it's to do with the fact he's so young... well looks like he's only been a dr for about 10 minutes! lol, and doesn't want to commit to any thing, I don't think it's his speciality as it were. But I only had to wait two weeks for my results to come back thou. Don't worry about your levels hon, I sat here on the day I found out and really cried about it, but then, after talking to my mum, she said not to worry as we'd get there in the end it just means we have to stop in a few more houses along the way, but at the end of the day as long as the end result is the same then who cares! I refuse to believe (now i'm calm again) that this problem can't be fixed. as far as I can see it will just be a case of hormone pills of some desciption, but again when I mentioned this to the DR he didn't want to comment at all and said we would wait. You know thou he also said it could well just be a 'rouge' month and this one will be better. Hopefully thou the Angus. will be helping some what. Keep your pecker up hon... we'll get theree one day. might just take a bit longer is all.

MunnzieB · 03/11/2004 17:52

pammi, hang on in there hon, wait a few days longer until you try again, still lets not waste time b4 we start wetting the babys head and all! lol (looks for any excuse to have a knees up!) lol.

Jeddah, It's probably just your body aligning again, but if youre not happy got to the dr for advice.

Thanks for the abb list as well!

jeddah · 03/11/2004 19:20

hi all
quick hello off for a bath then to watch corrie!

MunnzieB · 03/11/2004 19:22

bibi, have you had any luck with the angus cactus? and the starflower oil?

MunnzieB · 03/11/2004 19:33

just surfing about and i've stumbled upon this, which I thought wzas intresting... any views?

Dr Jonas put forward three rules governing conception.

  1. A woman is fertile each month at the same lunar phase under which she was born. That is, you are fertile at that time of your cycle when the moon is at the same lunar phase as when you were born - regardless of where that time falls within your menstrul cycle.

  2. The sex of a child is determined by the position of the moon at conception.

  3. The viability of a pregnancy and foetus is dependent upon the configuration of the nearer celestial bodies.

Teh web page for it is: www.menstruation.com.au/menstrualproducts/cap.html

Hulababy · 03/11/2004 20:42

Evening all. CD2 now, AF is in no way as bad as last month thankfully I can actually function!!! Still much worse than whilst on pill though, so taking some getting used to. LOL!

bonkerz · 03/11/2004 20:45

hi all well after reporting no symptoms except weeing lots ive got the most painful breasts tonite. maybe my dh is right and i am pregnant, he says it could also explain my tiredness and my mood lately!

Strange that when i fell pregnant with my last baby which resulted in mc in july i KNEW i was pregnant but this time i dont know or dont want to know maybe!

BeckiF · 03/11/2004 21:15

Been quite sick today and am only CD2, not 3 as I thought, Started my 1st FF chart which is quite hilarious!

IrishLass · 03/11/2004 21:37

Hi,

I'm new to Mumsnet. I came off the pill (combined) at the beg of Sept & had the usual withdrawal bleed but since then no AF. I'm now on CD57 & I've no idea whether I'm ovulating or have ovulated or not (my guess is not) . I started taking BBT on CD36 along with using a saliva microscope & watching CM & CP to try to find a pattern. So far none of them have really tied up to indicate the same thing. Seems like my hormone levels are all over the place. Has anyone else experienced this & if so, how long did it take for ov to start up again?

Thanks everyone

MunnzieB · 03/11/2004 21:38

whats BBT?

MunnzieB · 03/11/2004 21:39

sorry, for being rude, Hi and welcome!

Hulababy · 03/11/2004 21:41

BBT - basal body temperature. It's the temperature you take to monitor when TTC - you can use sites like Fertility Friend to help chart it, to help predict OV time. You use a BBT thermometer (accurate to two decimal places, rather than a normal thermometer which works to one decimal place) first thing in a morning BEFORE getting out of bed.

MunnzieB · 03/11/2004 21:45

Oh right groovey, thanks! Have u tried the first responce moniter?

Hulababy · 03/11/2004 21:48

No, I haven't tried anything other monitoring my BBT, CM and position of cervix. Chart is all on FF, and hoping that'll help me out.

MunnzieB · 03/11/2004 21:52

I still have to get into the habit of doing that! lol.

mariella · 03/11/2004 22:26

hi all, well i'm cd19 of a 29/30 day cycle, ttc #1, i have no idea when I ovulated (used opks from day 10 - 15 with no result), bd'd from days 8 - 15 on and off.................... and I suddenly feel pregnant! which makes no sense at all to me, it is much much to early for anything to have happened, isn't it? my lower abdomen feels very sort of heavy and congested, i have a funny metallic taste in my mouth, and i found myself wondering if i could sneak a nap in this afternoon (i never do that!) do you think i'm going mad? i'm sure i'm imagining it. can't even test for another 8 - 10 days. probably wishful thinking, but i can't shake the feeling.

mariella · 03/11/2004 22:27

sorry, i don't mean ttc #1 child, i mean my first month of trying for this child (who would be #4!).

MINNIE1 · 03/11/2004 22:38

mariella,
Symtoms sound really good, i has the same when i was pg... but i was a bit thick and only relised when i was 7 weeks pg that o ya i have defo miss AF ... If you test now it will be to early so hold off (its a pain i know) Fingers crossed for you...

IrishLass,
Welcome to MN, May i ask are you from Ireland??
have you visted your doctor about you AF??
xxxxxxx baby dust to you...

CD13 here and using my new saliva microscope (my new toy) can't figure it out (well i have a general idea thanks tania) but i'm not ov'ing yet.. so baby dust to me xxxxxx....

Bibi20 · 03/11/2004 23:09

Just had to sneak a look at MN before going to bed...

MunnzieB - agnus castus seems to bring my O forward, the months I've taken it I've O'd on cd16 instead of 18 or 20... (powerful stuff eh?!), but I still have an LP of 12 days with or without it.

Starflower oil has definitely increased my EWCM - didn't really have it at all before - but now have a good couple of days of it - highly recommended!!
