God, can't belive you still have the willpower to go to ww now you have fallen pg, I would so be in tha "all you can eat buffet" by now!!!! Sorry about the sickness but I guess you knew what was headed your way, having done it before and all....

I think my dp is going to have another go at the 'lets keep it spontaneous' speech but we both know day 14 is going to be the day....I am hoping that by not talking about it too much from now on he will forget which day I am on and then it won't feel to pressurised. Plus I want to be doing it leading up to day 14 don't I, so if he has day 14 in his head, I'll only get the one go!!!

Tania2 · 08/11/2004 17:24

Hello all
I've not had time to catch up. I hope you are all feeling good. I am pretty sure that this is not the month for me. With both my other pgs I felt hot for the whole of my LP - don't this time.
7dpo today and I had bad AF pains today and lower back pain. I will never understand what goes on in there, really I never will - AF not due for another 7 days.

Good luck Tania, getting your little lad to sleep through by himself
runtus - you seem to be going through similar thought processes as me!!!! I made the ridiculous mistake this cycle of showing dh the peed on OPK with the two lovely dark lines. I was chuffed that they worked for me. And dh? Well, I might as well have been showing him the contents of my littlest lad's nappy for all the interest it provoked. He certainly did not want to bd just because a little wet stick 'told him to'. Ignorance is bliss, I think, in future ROMANCE IS NOT DEAD.....

wilbur · 08/11/2004 19:50

You sound like me mommyd - I have no idea about ov this month, despite temperature and careful monitoring, but maybe it was last Weds or Thurs as I did get some ov-type pains. Anyway, today I'm getting a little crampy feeling, like AF, but sadly not like the feelings I got when preg with ds and dd. So I don't think we did the trick this month. AF should be here next week I reckon. We'll see.

MunnzieB · 08/11/2004 20:53

thanks girls, how is every one today? I need to get my boss to put me on the internet so I can come on and chat without going on someone elses comp..... that looks so obvious! lol

MINNIE1 · 08/11/2004 20:57

Hi Girls, i'm back...

think i ov'd at the wkend so i am on the waiting game...

hope you all are well and happy.. DP is gagging to us the PC so im off again

MunnzieB · 08/11/2004 21:03

sweetheart- how do u manage it, I bearly have the will power to go without being PG let alone being it, still this week i'm off to water aerobixs with some frined which should be fun as i'm blind as a bat with out my glasses on!

Mommy D - Funny people our DH's arn't they! lol.

Silver lining - Hope DD is feeling better soon, and you get to BD with DH!!

Tania - Those blasted hormones, but sadly, we all need them, and hey at least it's a good excuse to eat a huge bar of dairy milk!, hope you DS starts sleeping thru soon. I like the baby whisperer, have u tried her pu/pd method?

Any ways, thanks for all your help with the prob, bibi - I did have some breckie but only cherios so tomorrow i'll be back to weetabix and toast! and see if that helps, failing that roll on CD 9 when i can start using OV kits again! woooo. (on day 4 now and AF is still here, which is a good sign as on the pill it was 3 days max, off i think it was about 5-7)

Twiga · 09/11/2004 00:10

Hi Tania, it must be morning with you now, how did last night go? BTW, your thread made the front page of the site - impressive! Hope you're not too tired, just thought I'd check in before I head for my bed - don't worry about ealrier by the way, I did post a reply don't know if you've seen it - no harm done at all x

BTW, anyone on here ever done one of the mumsnet swaps, I just signed up for the Christmas one, bit nervous about it - any experience sharing welcome.

Goodnight and God bless all x x x

jeddah · 09/11/2004 06:38

Runtus, got mine on zinc aswell......when he remembers it!!!!!

Tania....its 6.30am here! thought I would say hi as we keep missing eachother!!!!! off for brecky!!

Tania be careful about the bottle at night.....he will keep waking for this unless you stop it.......sounds like you did very well, the beauty about this training..is it is adaptable to a certain degree. keep going girl!

Hulababy · 09/11/2004 08:17

Hi all. CD8 here, so nothing to report really. But havinf AF problems agai. Can you read my thread here if you have any advice? Thanks

Twiga · 09/11/2004 08:38

Morning! Sweetheart, nice to see you, glad everything is going well with pg. Runtus and Minnie, good to have you back x

Silverlining, hope your dd is feeling better and that you all go tsome sleep last night x

Hula, had a look at your thread and don't have any experience of this - {{{hug}}} hope you feel less sore today x

Cd14 here and waiting for dh to get in from his night shift x

BeckiF · 09/11/2004 09:36

I'm already thinking of giving up temping! My temperature is all over the place and there is almost a degree drop between yesterdays and todays! A drop of a degree on CD7 when I had a neg opk last night don't make sense to me! Well, I'll probably enter all the data this cycle just to see, but I'm confused!

Sallie · 09/11/2004 09:43

I am cd27 today - time seems to be passing by really slowly at the moment. I don't think I am going to allow myself to test until at least Friday (cd30) although as I have said on my other postings, I don't hold out much hope for this month. Last month af arrived on cd29. Bibi - when are you planning to test? Anyone else testing soon?

RudyDudy · 09/11/2004 09:46

I'm CD 32 today and due to test on Friday but have woken up bloated and with cramping and starting to feel very pre-AF so don't think this is my month. Will start persona next month but it takes a couple of months before it tells you when you are OV so I thought I'd give OPK a go - any recommendations or are they all much the same?

Sallie · 09/11/2004 09:54

When I started persona after having ds, it told me when I was ovulating in the first month of using it. When I started using it again after having dd, it also told me when I was ov the first month. The test sticks double up as opks anyway so I would hesitate over doubling up by buying opks as well and just start the persona.

RudyDudy · 09/11/2004 09:59

That's interesting Sallie - I was just basing it on the last time I used it and it took 3 months to tell me when I was O. This may be a stupid question but how do the sticks double up as OPK? Would be more than happy not to start buying more stuff

sweetheart · 09/11/2004 10:02

Just thought I'd let you all know I managed to shift 1.5Ibs!! WOOHHOOOOOOO - NOW I can eat everything in sight!!!!!

Runtus - You've definalty got the right idea - let him think it's all his idea on day 14 - he doesn't have to know does he. My dh found the pressure of doing it "at the right time" a bit much on a couple of occasions.

Lovely to hear from you all. Good luck and keep on with that bding - I'll be checking!!!!

Hulababy · 09/11/2004 10:02

Thanks Twiga. Doctor thinks it may be end of a virus or infection, that my body has been fighting off itself. Hence feeling sicky and tored and groggy over weekend. She took some swaps, etc. to be on safe side and results come back later in week. Feel even more tender now though!

Becki - my temps were all over the place the first motnth, but were more settled last month. It is supposed to take about 3 months to notice your own pattern. Good luck.

Sallie · 09/11/2004 10:04

Rudy - basically the test sticks show two lines at the time you are ovulating. For me this month, I had a few days where the second line was faint but gradually got stronger. Best of luck

Bibi20 · 09/11/2004 11:05

Hi - Hope you feel better soon Hula...

Sallie - planning to test on Thursday (cd 29) if AF hasn't arrived by then... that's based on my being 13 dpo when I always have a 12 day luteal phase... of course I could have got my O date wrong - I wasn't temping this month...

Not holding much hope out either as dh was away over my most fertile time, but still symptom spotting and feel very 'aware' of my boobs!! for being so silly!

Was pretty ratty last night though, so think af is on her way

Hope your dd is getting better?

pixie54 · 09/11/2004 11:07

Hello - I'm new to this! We are ttc no.2 - been trying a year now. DD took 3 years. I'm 35.
I've had some blood tests to check if I'm ovulating properly - they came back totally normal in this cycle.
What exactly do these tests test for? Does the day 21 test detect pregnancy? (I'm a few days late.)

Bibi20 · 09/11/2004 11:16

Hi Pixie54 - wow - 3 years for no.1 - hope it's quicker this time around, although 1 year is already ages isn't it? (I've been trying for nearly a year)

The tests check a number of different hormones, responsible for fertility. The day 21 test is to check that you have progesterone which is a sign that you have ovulated, and also that you have high enough progesterone to build up your uterus lining for implantation (might not have the terminology right but it's that kind of thing).

They don't check for pregnancy with these blood tests (too early in the cycle anyway)- how many days late are you? Have you done a home pregnancy test?

Tania2 · 09/11/2004 11:32

Hi girls had a quick read through the post hope you are all well and that all the hormonal symptoms are pg symptoms.
Bad day today hot water service blew up $$$$$
Thank you girls for thinking of me and my ds with the sleep thing.
Its the end of CD19 for me still have sore boobs not like what i get with af kinda brused like sore still have slight cramping now and then, this morning though i had kinda a sharp twinge like pain in the middle above my pubic line. Still moods vary one min happy next feel like crying and then the next iam snappy. NUTCASE [face with googley eyes] 5 more days till af arrives hoping this is my month.

Tania2 · 09/11/2004 11:35

Oh how rude of me welcome pixi.
Have to go to the land of nod now. I may sneak in tonight when ds wakes (fingers crossed he sleeps through) after i have sat up for an hour trying to get him back to sleep then iam wide awake.
Wish me luck.
At least this is keeping my mind on something else until af arrives.
