So hear me out, this might be a little waffly.. Apologies.
I have not officially been diagnosed with endo because they refuse to do a lap with my weight. But I'm 99.9% sure I have it. I have so many signs and symptoms and gynae say I 'probably do'. Anyway, I have however been diagnosed with PCOS and have been put on metformin back in December to try and bring my ovulation forward while waiting on fertility services resuming. I've been taking it with inositol and my cycles are reducing thank god! But the past 2 cycles I've noticed from 6dpo/7dpo a sort of dull, heavy ache below my belly button that's worse when stretching or putting pressure on the area. Google tells me that endo pain usually starts about a week before a period. So naturally this all adds up in my head 🙄 but I was wondering if anyone had experienced their normal endo pain before a BFP? Or should I just accept that if I start getting this pain half way through my luteal phase that I'm out this cycle and give up hope?

Thanks!

Hello! Didn't want to leave you hanging Grin I don't have endo (that I'm aware of!) BUT I do know that it's common for endometriosis sufferers to have bad cramps in the first trimester. So using that logic their symptoms clearly don't just disappear with a BFP, so I wouldn't expect your cramps in the TWW to correlate with whether or not it's a BFN/BFP?

Does that make sense - sorry for the waffle.

My other thought as well is that 7DPO would be too early for your body to have caught on anyway so you might get endo cramps before your HCG levels have even started registering :)

Stabal · 08/04/2021 15:42

@Juno231 thank you! Yes, makes sense. I guess I just lost all hope this morning when I seen the pain is probably endo. You know how our brains spiral 😏 I know at 7dpo there wouldn't be any pregnancy symptoms but I went straight to if I have endo pain then that's it, pregnancy won't happen haha. I miscarried last May at 9 weeks and I remember having mild continuous cramps during that as I didn't even test until I was 6 weeks thinking AF was coming because of the cramps! So I need to keep remembering that too.. A whole year later and still not pregnant again, drives you a bit crazy!

@Stabal hey! I have been officially diagnosed with endo, I have pain all the time but it is worse the week before my period is due. Normally stabbing and pulling pains and I get really bloated too x

Stabal · 08/04/2021 16:14

@Sadie950 thank you! I do have pain throughout my cycle too but it's manageable. My periods are horrendous though. Have you ever been pregnant and if so did you have the same endo symptoms leading up to your BFP?

Sadie95 · 08/04/2021 16:30

Yeah I have a LG now 3 and I'm currently TTC #2, I still had all endo pains when I got my BFP.. the only reason I knew was my boobs were SO sore when they normally aren't. Still had pulling, stabbing and sharp pains

Stabal · 08/04/2021 17:05

@Sadie950 aww that's so good to know, I was panicking I'm out already. 9dpo tomorrow after ovulating for the very first time ever on CD13 🤞 wishing you all the luck for your 2nd bean!

@Stabal such good progression lines!!!!

Springb0ks · 12/04/2021 18:57

Congrats @Stabal! I was reading your OP and thinking I had those types of pains at 7DPO and had a slight positive test then too. Delighted to see your update and wishing you a safe and healthy pregnancy.

Stabal · 12/04/2021 19:02

Sadie95 · 13/04/2021 19:44

@Stabal thank you!!! I'm very nervous, I have a 3 year old girl but had 2 miscarriages last year so I'm hesitant to get excited. I am soo happy though, hopefully this baby sticks! How are you? X

Stabal · 13/04/2021 19:59

@Sadie95 totally understand. I'm genuinely terrified. I fell pregnant around March 20th last year but had a missed miscarried confirmed in May so the timing is so similar which isn't helping. I rang and booked in for an early scan on May 4th and I felt like a fraud doing it, I just feel like it's going to disappear any minute 😞 I think I'd feel a lot more settled if I didn't have the pains!

OP posts:
Sadie95 · 13/04/2021 20:22

@Stabal don't feel like a fraud. I'm going to ring as well tbh, what did you say to them? I totally get what your saying about the pain.. they say endo doesn't effect pregnancy but I don't believe that for a second. My first pregnancy was problem after problem and ended up in an emergency csection at 35 weeks! Might not be the same for everyone but I'm VERY wary

Stabal · 13/04/2021 20:28

@Sadie95 so awful that you can't just be happy isn't it? They told me last year to ring as soon as I get a positive result again and they'd book me in so I just explained my situation and they were happy to make me an appointment. She did try to make it for the 30th but I asked for a little later because the thought of being too early and not seeing anything will make me panic even more so in my head as early but as late as I can 😂 Oh you poor thing, I really hope this time is more simple for you x

Sadie95 · 13/04/2021 21:03

That's lovely of them, hopefully it put your mind at ease so you can try and enjoy the process a bit more 🥰 how far along will you be at the scan? I had one at 8 weeks with my first, it was the cutest thing ever! X

Stabal · 13/04/2021 22:05

@Sadie95 I'll be 6 weeks 5 days. Around the same stage I was with my bean last year! I seen the heartbeat then 2 weeks later at my next scan it had stopped 😞 so grateful I got the experience of the first scan though. So so magical! 🥰 x

Sadie95 · 14/04/2021 08:56

@Stabal sorry to hear about your last pregnancy 😔 I'm going to ring when I've missed my period which is due Sunday so hopefully I can get past that first milestone 🤞🏻 x

Stabal · 14/04/2021 09:01

@Sadie95 mine is due today so convinced at some stage I will go to the loo and see blood. I can't wait to get the day over with! It's definitely all about taking it one day at a time and reminding ourselves that right now, we are pregnant 💕 x
