Faint positive or evaporation line

So I’m due AF In 4 days I tested yesterday which would be 5 days before with a clear blue early detection and seen a very faint line.. that was testing about 3pm took another this morning which is 4 days before at 7 am and got the very thin blue line.... but it is darker but very thin? I am sooo tired and boobs so sore and i feel ‘travel sick’ and have done for 3 days which is why I tested I’ve totally got my hopes up but have read lots about evaporation lines!

@Laurxxo This sounds exactly what happened to my sister in law. She got one positive CB showing 1-2 weeks and never got another positive. Her period came was about a week later so she took it as a chemical. Hoping this isn't the case for you xx

Oh wow really! God must of been hard and I hope not,but sometimes things happen for a reason I suppose I’m gonna try in the morning anyway 😘 thank you for replying and being so kind with the response! Do I need to contact anyone If I end up having a chemical pregnacy? Xx

@Laurxxo with my chemical I had, my ob/gyn said I only beed further investigation if I'd still test positive after a couple of days after bleeding started. Ss long as you test negative there is nothing you need to do. But of course you can talk to your GP or ob/gyn if you want to.

Hi ladies has anyone used ovulation tests before? I'm going to try and track ovulation as I'm having no luck getting pregnant and hope that maybe these would help how do I use them when is the best time and how do I read the results? Thank you its was just ic i bought from Ebay along with ic pregnancy tests to try save some money on my poas addiction lol than you...xx

@Laurxxo what one is that?I use a period tracker app called ovia its good for letting me know my fertile window I wanted to use the strips to pin point ovulation so I have the best chances of conceiving....xx

Hello girls,

I took a test today, 4 days before my 1st day of period (it always comes later though) and First response showed nothing, Clearblue same, then I checked the clearblue one later and it showed a faint blue line.
Are evaporation lines grey?

Unfortunately I just joined so I can't post any photos for 48h.
Just wondering if a later blue thin line result actually ended up to be a positive test a few days later for any of you.

Hi @alexalexalex18 unfortunately it does sound like a evaporation line u aren't supposed to read them after 10 mins evaporation line can also have colour If u go back a page u will see my evaporation line hopefully u could still be pregnant i would wait a few days and retest with a pink dye I find blue dye tests unreliable...x

Mine has a little faint blue dye streak on the right side of the line, it looks like it wanted to be thicker but just coloured on the left side.

I'll test again in a few days, just to be sure.

Mine has a dark blue thin line on the left and some light blue smudged to its right, very faint.

@alexalexalex18 it could be an evaporation line in would test the day of missed period or test with a pink dye test 2 days before missed period...xx

@Mummmyy the line next to MAX should be as dark or darker than the right line for you to be close to ovulating. When it's as dark or darker, then your body tarts to ovulate in the next 12 to 24h or even earlier, depends.

Your light line can mean that you're either at the beginning of your fertile window, close to ovulation day, or at the end. Check your period app and use a strip each day!

@alexalexalex18 my fertile window is next thur according to my apps so does the light line mean that my fertile window is sooner than next week thank you I just finished my period on tues..xx

@Mummmyy usually ovulation happens around 14 days from your first day of period.
I would trust the strips more than the app.

I have 2 different apps and I test when they say I'm on my fertile days.
One is one day earlier than the other.

If you say the app says ovulation starts next Thurday I would start testing 4-5 days before it.

Also remember @Mummmyy if you're trying to conceive it works better if you try before the ovulation day in the fertile period, not just on that specific day.

Thank you @alexalexalex18 I know I dtd everyday of my fertile window and 1 day after been trying since December it took me a year to get pregnant with my daughter hope it doesnt take as long this time around so just to clarify sorry lol I want the line to be as dark or darker than the test line and start testing 4-5 days before my fertile window thank you...xx

It's a mystery for me :))
