Hi everyone! We are currently trying for baby #3 This is cycle 2 and CD5. Period last week was shorter and lighter than normal, really confused me as its never been like that, did 2 tests but both BFN so trying again this month :) Not putting too much pressure on it, just going with the flow and if it happens it happens, trying not to stress too much about it 🙈 anyone else TTC this month? Hoping I can chat in here with people doing the same ❤

@GingerFox2021 I am trying SMEP this month for the first month alongside tracking ovulation! Will you be trying it alongside tracking ovulation again this month? Fingers crossed

@Timeandtidal Were on day 3 of FW and trying to DTD everyday until Ovulation day. Ugh I really hope this is the cycle. When is your ovulation day I think we're pretty close

@Mumofboys20122017 congrats!! So exciting! I don't think I'll fully believe I'm pregnant until I go to a scan lol so I know how you feel! So happy for you!

Not sure about SMEP, we are both a bit tired 🙄😃, but started using Clear Blue ovulation sticks for the first time this month, so will play around the dates on the sticks. So, let’s see, as we say. Good luck to you, as well.

@Tryingandhopeful really sorry to hear this. That white space is horribly stark. Hope you're feeling okay, and can do some nice self care things for yourself next few days. It is such an emotional roller coaster TTC. Sending you love.

@Puppymamababymama Ah good luck. I'm tiny bit ahead of you cycle wise. Think I ovulated Sat... but tbh not sure and wondering if I need to start OPKs sooner next month. I'm relieved my FW is over. Was beginning feel like hard work!

Hi everyone! Looking for some advice I am TTC and I have the clear blue connected ovulation tests. I got a high reading on the 10th of April and it was still high yesterday, ran out of tests today but I have got one now I could do in a few hours. I DTD on the 12th of April at night hoping to get in early! But today I have EWCM so I’m thinking maybe it was too early?!
It’s been so stressful as my partner works away so can’t DTD that often.
But considering I DTD 1 week ago I assume it’s too late for anything to catch now 😔

@Timeandtidal I actually haven't used OPKs yet but might start next month if nothing happens this month. But I honestly have no idea how they work. I've just been following what my period tracker says my ovulation day is and it's been spot on everytime. I'm supposed to ovulate on Thursday I believe, fingers crossed for you 🤞

@Puppymamababymama I have also been using a tracking app too (Natural Cycles) but I don't think I have anough cycles in to get accurate data from it! Let's see how we go!

@purpleskyssssss Is this your first month doing smep? Is it basically loads of DTD around ovulation? Hope it works for you!

@MD2021 sorry I don't feel like I know enough to advise! Someone else Will hopefully know more.
I also had EWCM after I thought I had ovulated so I need to learn more about tracking my cycle!

Someone said earlier up the thread that this stuff should be taught in school. I agree. It staggers me that I had pretty much zero understanding of how fertility works until my mid thirties. I was just terrified of getting pregnant by mistake till then!

@Timeandtidal no problem, I’ve asctualy just done a clear blue and it’s come back as high so 10th day of high! Thought it may finally be peak since I had EWCM not that I can DTD just a shame it wasn’t a few days ago then I would feel like I had a chance 🙄 I’m a year trying and it doesn’t seem to be getting any easier!

They definitely should definitely do this more in school, I wish I j def stood it more from the beginning.

@MD2021 must be really hard with DP working away restricting when you can DTD. When is he back next?

@Timeandtidal it is! I’m not 100% sure yet maybe 2weeks but could end up being 3!

@Timeandtidal yes it will be my first month trying SMEP, going into 6th month ttc, yep basically! Sex every other day from day 8 until you get peak fertility and then for 3 days and then miss a day and then one more day! Thankyou! We shall see!!

@Tryingandhopeful @Onehotmess so sorry about your BFNs girls!! Ugh it’s so disheartening seeing lack of lines isn’t it? 😫 I got a BFN today at 12dpo on FRER so I can relate! Been having cramps the past couple days and spotted a bit today so AF must be well and truly on her way! Just hope she arrives soon so I can start the next cycle.

@Milly238 Ugh, sobsorry about BFN. It is paonfully disappointing (and then we get the joy of AF on top). Hope you don't feel too down about it. Here's to success on the next cycle.

I have just worked out that I must have gotten my FW wrong! Started using OPKs on CD15 just to start to learn about how they work. Neggative OPK yesterday (CD15) then positive tonight( CD16). We can't DTD until tomorrow as DP is working night shift and I will be out all of tomorrow. Worried I'm going to miss ovulation time now... praying the sperm live for 72 hours thing is true and there might be some strong swimmer hanging on.

I can't believe how much later I must ovulate than I thought. Genuinely shocked. I am sold on OPKs - very useful. I am gutted so much DTD was way too early this month. At least I will know better for next cycle.

This group is so so helpful. I wouldn't have used OPKs if it wasn't for the chats on here. Thanks ladies.

@Milly238 😩 oh no so sorry to hear about your BFN!! So disheartening!! Just annoying that we have to wait so long until the next FW!!! Do we have to join the May TTC thread? 🙈

@Timeandtidal the positive OPK means that you will ovulate in the next 24-36 hours, not that you’re ovulating that day! So you should be ok to DTD the day after the positive OPK! Also I’ve heard that sperm can live up to 5 days but the chances are conceiving from a day 5 sperm is obviously much lower than sperm from day 1 and 2! So you should still be in with a chance with this egg 😊

Thanks @Timeandtidal. I had full on AF cramps and headache last night so took some painkiller and wore a pad to bed. No AF this morning, cramping has stopped, headache continues! I’m on CD32 and either 14 or 15dpo x

Ok ladies I just did a test and it’s bfn. I have kept yesterday’s test (don’t ask me why?!) and it’s got a line 🙈 it was over 12 hours ago so is it an evap?! I’m so confused! Top one is yesterday bottom today. The line has colour in real life x

@Onehotmess aww I think it is an evap line 😔 they say to disregard any result after the testing window which it would have been at over 12 hours!! Did you say AF is due Thurs?

I think it must be mustn’t it after 12 hours! 🙈 I’m CD 32 and my average cycle is 32 days, but longest in past 12 months was 34 so that was what I was taking as AF date which will be Thursday. I’ve never had an evap like that before (had a sort of shadow on a cheapie) so wasn’t sure what they looked like but you are right after that long I can’t take that! 😂😂🤪xx

@Onehotmess aww I’m sorry it does look a bit like evap but maybe test again in a few days if AF doesn’t show just incase?? I had evap/indent lines on two of the FRERs I took this cycle and it’s so frustrating not knowing for sure!

@Timeandtidal ugh I know it’s awful getting BFN but I’m feeling much better about it today! That’s fab about your positive OPK yay! I think DTD the next day should definitely cover you! Eeek baby dust to you!

@Tryingandhopeful it’s so rubbish! Hope AF comes soon so I can start again! Im gonna write a list later of things I can do differently next cycle to make me feel better and more motivated. Might try SMEP - hope DP and I will have the energy for it 😂 And good idea about joining May TTC!

Hey ladies, I've been quiet on here as I've been trying to distract myself! Sorry to see those BFN's @Onehotmess @Milly238 @Tryingandhopeful I hate that stupid white gap! 😬

I'm 9DPO now and have been getting very dull cramps, not sure if I'm imagining it because I'm thinking about it??!! 🙈 also have a weird twinge in my hip which is random and probably totally not pregnancy related 😂 I am actually too scared to test, I don't handle the crushing disappointment very well!

@Rudyroo ooo that sounds promising! I’d try and hold off until at least 11dpo if I were you lovely. I read implantation is most common at 9dpo and most women get false negatives that day so it might unnecessarily upset you seeing BFN even though you may actually be pregnant. Eeek best of luck!! 🤞❤️

Thanks @Milly238 yeah I think I'm gonna hold off til the weekend so I'll be 13/14dpo so hopefully it'll be a definite yes or no and then I can take it from there. My stomach actually does small cartwheels when I think about it...aargh! How are you? Did AF arrive?
