woohoo coolkat

BIG CONGRATS!

What were your symptoms? We need to cross-check your REAL ones with our maybe/maybe not symptoms.

Apparently, all grapefruit juice is good for you. No idea what's in it that makes you produce more CM. I've also read that water is good too!

07mumstheword · 24/11/2007 08:04

Abbymeg My DD is 2.5. Cycle 8 I'm not sure if you were around before but I've had 2 chemical pregnancies in that time so I can get PG just been difficult to hold on to them this time around. I'm sure it'll be third time lucky when I eventually get a BFP.

cbcb I don't think I've heard such a positive response to a BFN, good for you! Feel free to join us honorary cycle buddy!

I'm well prepared but I forgot to stock up on grapefruit juice, I've only got 1 carton left so must go and buy some more. I must admit I only drink it around the critical time, say 2-3 glasses a day it's an aquired (sp?) taste.

07mumstheword · 24/11/2007 08:12

Abbymeg Just been over to the waiting room, how old is your DC?

coolkat · 24/11/2007 09:02

Hi Digital girl, my symptoms were (although did not know at the time iyswim) Constipation, kept feeling like got AF pains, still getting discharge (tmi), feel 'thicker' around the middle, I also feel quite achey around middle.

I had done three tests earlier in the weeks before and nothing so it was a surprise as I thought AF was playing up!!

Hoping you all join me so I know someone on the other threads (hope it is ok if I lurk)

Have a good weekend. X

Coolkat - congratualtions again!

07Mums - DD is 9. It is 10 years since I've been pg! I was a 19 year-old drinking smoking party animal who fell quickly. Now I'm a 28 year-old clean living lady who is struggling to conceive. I think I might have had a chemical pg too, back in August. I didn't get a positive result, but I was late and my symptoms were amazing - my boobs were twice their normal size and I had nipples like saucers (sorry if tmi too early in the morning ).I was also sick and dizzy. I don't get much in the way of PMT symptoms - I just want to eat and I cry the day before - so it was either a pg, or a hormone surge. Dr said it sounded like a pg. I lived in the hope that MC paves the way to pg - which I think is a bit of an old-wives tale given that was 3 months ago and still nothing.

Still, it is fast approaching Christmas and I'm a crazy festive person. Who knows, maybe all us 2WWaiters deserve an extra-special Christmas pressie this year given that we've all been saintly-good!! [requiring an emoticon with a halo to reflect angelic status].

abbyscoffedallthemincepiesmeg · 24/11/2007 12:00

Auntie Flo - period! Charming, isn't it?! And she is also TEW - THE EVIL WITCH.

MsSparkler · 24/11/2007 12:01

I just read the whole thread (seems i have way to much time on my hands!) coolcat it's amazing how you were late and your tests kept coming up negative and then one came up positive! There's hope for us all

MsSparkler · 24/11/2007 12:03

Well still waiting for AF, last one was October 25th so could be here anytime.

digitalgirl · 24/11/2007 12:44

shreksmrs I think CD14 sounds like the day to me, I sympathise as I am hopeless at detecting my own egg hatching . when was your last bd? If CD12 or 13 you'll have cracked it.
hope your cold clears up soon.

this 2ww I am mostly experiencing shooting pains in my boobs and pulling twinges in my uterus region which i normally associate with ovulation. i have a feeling this will be another 4ww.

sarahnh · 24/11/2007 13:26

How fab Coolcat I am really happy for you. I did start writing yesterday but I think I got distracted and DP must have taken over the computer .

I think I am CD6 already!!! Few more days and I can crack open the shiny new OPKs. I have failed in getting my thermometer at the moment and its getting a bit late to go into town to get one... I don't think they sell them at Sainsburys...

I got DP chocolate covered brazils to trick him into fulfilling my commandments too...Well he is dog walking alot now so his waistline can take them bless.

abbyscoffedallthemincepiesmeg · 24/11/2007 15:29

DD has had friends round today. I ate a large green salad with beans, olives, pine nuts, oil and balsamic vinegar... and then promptly finished off 3 slices of their pizza and some garlic bread. WHY????? WHY???? Hear my despairing cry!!!! I'm fully aware of how bloody hard its been to chisel of 10lbs, and now I'm putting the buggers back on again, despite the fact I want to be thinner to increase chances of having a baby. I am naughty .

abbyscoffedallthemincepiesmeg · 24/11/2007 15:38

I apologise for my mememememe rant .

digitalgirl · 24/11/2007 15:50

abby don't be so hard on yourself, we're all allowed a few lapses. As long as you're eating lots of fruit & veg, getting the right nutrients and getting enough exercise to get your blood pumping and those ovaries working you'll be in tiptop baby-making condition. A few pounds won't make a difference, as long as you're not sat on your arse eating nothing but creamcakes for weeks on end.

abbyscoffedallthemincepiesmeg · 24/11/2007 16:48

DG - yes, about those cream cakes.. !!!!! Just joking. I have been behaving better. Garlic bread is evil! It's all I can taste 3 hours later - so not worth the pain.

Excitable · 24/11/2007 18:15

ooo, there's some really encouraging things on here. Come on, Pixie, vom a bit more for us, please - you can do it!! Yay Pixie! Coolkat, it's looking really good for you - and I think it's just fine to ram your test up that chap's nose. Can I volunteer to be your defense lawyer? Practicing..."He had it coming m'lud..."

Well, I've had a really strange time of it, but at least I know where I stand now. On Thursday night I took some people out for dinner for work and got embarassingly drunk on not very much wine. Couldn't understand it at all, but put it down to having cut down on the booze lately and my tolerance suffering. Then on Friday (with nasty hangover) I was really clumsy all morning and decided to sack work in the afternoon and came home and just did nothing from about 1pm until about 9pm when I went to bed! Then at 3am, when DH was just going to bed after having a Friday night party all by himself, I woke up - wide awake - and discovered AF had arrived. And HOW!! And... owwwww! Side splitting period pains!! They woke me up about 6 times after that between 3am and 9am when I got up and decided make myself a hot water bottle to ease the pain. It was such a hot water bottle that it completely numbed my whole abdomen, which was great, but it also meant that I gave myself a great big band of heat rash and didn't notice that it felt different because it was so numb!!

Now having the heaviest AF that I've had in years. Is this usual after a long cycle? Does it mean that my body was just adding and adding to the lining of my womb and there was just more to come out?

Anyway, not too disappointed about not being pregnant as three BFNs can't be wrong. At least I can have another go in a couple of weeks now...

Off to change my day in the waiting room...

Excitable · 24/11/2007 18:28

Congratulations Coolkat, sorry, read a page two pages before this one and didn't see your subsequent exciting news!! Really pleased for you but rather sorry I didn't get to leap to your defence...

coolkat · 24/11/2007 19:25

No prob's Excitable sorry AF got you. Hope you get BFP soon. Still really nervous and can't quite believe it!

Someone, all of you come and join me soon ... lonely without you all

07mumstheword · 24/11/2007 21:58

Coolkat Someone must get a BFP and join you soon but we love having you around!

Excitable TEW how dare she give you so much pain. She shows up late and disturbs your sleep in the middle of the night how rude! Still at least you know where you are now.

Shazza GOOD LUCK for testing tomorrow ex cycle buddy. I know it's a bit early for you (but as you know I'm an early tester too!) so I'm hoping for even a faint line!! Can't wait to hear.
