I tinkered with a test and caused an evap line, right?

Af is due tomorrow. There is a chance I could be pregnant so I took a test first thing. I thought it was faulty because the control line didn't come up. Normally these are really quick. Saw a couple hours later the control line had worked and there was a bit of a line where the test is. But it was much later than specified test window so must be an evap? It is barely there. I also tinkered with it and took it apart so that further invalidates the whole thing. I know I need to get another once. I just need sensible people to help me manage my expectations.

Just go and get another test?? Once youve pissed on a stick and the timeframe for any result passes, put it in the bin!

It doesn't invalidate it.

A positive doesn't become a negative when it's opened.
A negative won't become positive once it's opened.

That is a faint line, I would get a digital test at this point.

Id recommend getting a FRER or similar with a good (low) threshold. Thatll give you an answer. That said, if your period is due tomorrow that line is v faint.

Hi again. I have taken Clear Blue early test just now. Not digital, (read this advice too late but thanks). If period doesn't come tomorrow I will get digital. I seem have another very faint line... perhaps too faint to count. Especially as on CD28.
