I tinkered with a test and caused an evap line, right?

Af is due tomorrow. There is a chance I could be pregnant so I took a test first thing. I thought it was faulty because the control line didn't come up. Normally these are really quick. Saw a couple hours later the control line had worked and there was a bit of a line where the test is. But it was much later than specified test window so must be an evap? It is barely there. I also tinkered with it and took it apart so that further invalidates the whole thing. I know I need to get another once. I just need sensible people to help me manage my expectations.

I hate Clear Blue, they give out crappy lines even when you're not pregnant. And I'm the LAST to say it looks positive.

However in this instance, I'd very tentatively say I think they are both positive.

Have you got one for first thing in the morning?

That's what a test will be at its strongest.

I see a line second photo too. Try and get a first response test, you can Amazon Prime them easy enough. Theyre alot easier to read than blue dyes. Digitals need a fair bit hcg so they can take a bit longer to throw a positive

Okay, thanks. I will get first response test. A couple of years ago I had a miscarriage at 6 weeks so feel very cautious especially with such faint lines. Thank you all so much.

A FRER is a First Response Early Response test and will give you a clearer line if you are indeed pregnant and this close to your AF, it wouldn't really matter what time you test.

They don't sell them in supermarkets but you can get them off Amazon and from boots and some other pharmacists.

Just make sure you buy 'Early Response' not 'Rapid Response' they are easily confused.

I see a line! That's how faint mine started and now I'm 9 weeks and puking my guts up

I could see the line straight away on the second tests.. that looks like a positive to me!

@Makingnumber2 I think 13 or 14 days past ovulation. I guess it is an early line. I'll do some more testing over next few days to be sure tho. I did just take a multivitamin with Folic Acid, just in case...

My lines at 13dpo have always been very faint too. Order a multipack of cheapie dip strips from Amazon and then you can POAS til your heart's content over the next few weeks to watch line get darker :) Congratulations again.
