Especially for you
I wanna let you know what I was going through
All the time we were apart
I thought of you
You were in my heart
My love never changed
I still feel the same

Especially for you
I wanna tell you I was feeling that way too
And if dreams were wings, you know
I would have flown to you
To be where you are
No matter how far
And now that I'm next to you

No more dreaming about tomorrow
Forget the loneliness and the sorrow
I've got to say
It's all because of you

And now we're back together, together
I wanna show you my heart is oh so true
And all the love I have is
Especially for you

Especially for you
I wanna tell you, you mean all the world to me
How I'm certain that our love was meant to be
You changed my life
You showed me the way
And now that I'm next to you

I've waited long enough to find you
I wanna put all the hurt behind you
And I wanna bring out all the love inside you, oh

And now we're back together, together
I wanna show you my heart is oh so true
And all the love I have is
Especially for you

You were in my heart
My love never changed
No more dreaming about tomorrow
Forget the loneliness and the sorrow
I've got to say
It's all because of you

And now we're back together, together
I wanna show you my heart is oh so true
And all the love I have is
Especially for you

New thread especially for Ready

Ready - hope all goes well with the move , and Happy Christmas etc if you don't get back on before then - hope you do.

Its been very quiet here recently hasn't it? Where's everyone gone?

gillystarrynight · 17/12/2007 12:01

I think everyone must be out shopping!

I went to the GP to pick up my results. My FSH level was 5 which she said was good and certainly did not give her any reason for concern. She run down all sorts of other figures and I am not sure if I got it right - progesterone level at 40.7? Overall she said that I was fine and as soon as DH did his sample and the results came back she would refer us to UCH. The waiting list is about 8 weeks. ?and DH has promised me he would do his sample today! He has even stayed working at home so he can do it but he is going to have to take the bus to hospital to drop it off as there is no parking. I hope he gets there within the hour!

mistlethrush · 17/12/2007 22:20

(thinking about what other bus passengers would think if they knew what was actually in that coat pocket/bag....)

Hope he got there in time. I had to be a delivery driver for similar situation. Dh not amused by the whole thing

gillystarrynight · 18/12/2007 09:34

He chickened out and drove instead. Left the car in a permit only area (there are no other areas in London!) and duly got a bit lost in the hospital, then couldn't find someone to take the sample. Eventually a porter found someone from the lab. Still its done and only took him 5-6 weeks since the GP asked him to. Now lets see what the results are like. We both think there will be a low sperm count or as DH says he has half of them swimming the wrong way and the ones which are going the right way are doing a slow front crawl

mistlethrush · 18/12/2007 10:15

Well, from the sound of it, some of Dh's had walking sticks - but you wouldn't believe that to look at ds! Had a comment from nursery yesterday evening that he'd been a bit 'hyper' all day - never stopped apart from sleep in the middle of the day. Anyone would think that I fed him e numbers for breakfast, not porridge made with organic oats and raisens...

gillystarrynight · 18/12/2007 10:27

organic oats are strong stuff (!)
He is probably hyper because of Christmas.

mistlethrush · 18/12/2007 13:35

Next year, possibly - but this year, he cannot remember last year, so, although he has got the idea of Father Christmas and compiled a list, I don't think he can really be too excited. Certainly not at 6.45am on a Monday morning when Christmas hasn't been mentioned at all....

gillystarrynight · 18/12/2007 16:02

Check these out - they are hilarious!!!!

My favourite is 'spit on that tissue and I'll call social services'

mistlethrush · 18/12/2007 17:27

I've just spent 2hrs looking for presents for next door's dts (f) - 20mo and friend at work's dd 14mo and failed miserably. Don't think that those Tshirts would make it in time, otherwise would be a good option.

gillystarrynight · 19/12/2007 09:32

Poor you! Have you tried John Lewis? They do free delivery within 2 days and have good prices on toys, blankets etc.. I got a few kids presents from them

mistlethrush · 19/12/2007 13:24

There's a really nice toyshop in a district centre not far from home - its just a question of time to get there. Exacerbated by the problem that my foot has now decided to play up - Doctor has suggested diagnosis, but said that I wouldn't be able to get NHS consultation until one month or so - so am seeing podiatrist on Friday afternoon (£65 - ouch!): hopefully he will be able to suggest something so that I can walk slightly more comfortably over Christmas...

Its a real case of juggling from now on. Tonight - choir - need to make mince pies before I go as overcooked the ones I made last night and they are now crunchy - but ds still likes them. Thurs - need to pick ds at 12, take to godparents, come back for Christmas meal at work, pick ds up... Fri - NCT coffee morning decending (potentially, although last time I did it no one turned up as a little out of the normal patch) - playing for Ds's nativity thing (again, as per today) at 2pm, meet mil to drop ds at home, go to foot appointment, panic...

etc!

Hope its a lot calmer in your household!

(PS, tree not up yet, not purchased, might have to do with the one that's survived in the garden at this rate...)

PiggyPenguin · 20/12/2007 08:13

Hi all, blimey it's quiet on here, everyone else must be shopping!

Finally at the stage where I can eat the odd mince pie - yippee! Hope you lot are going to consume my share of the alcohol limit this xmas!

Love the t-shirts!

gillystarrynight · 20/12/2007 11:37

DH has just called with his results from the doc (she called him at home). The good news is that there is lots of it - he said 9 million but then didn't know if it was 9ml but motility is at 30% when the normal average should be 50%. He didn't get any other figures despite me asking him to! Anyway she said that she is referring us today and we should have an appointment within 8-9 weeks at UCH. Why am I ridiculously excited?

Sybil, how far along are you now? Glad you can at least enjoy some edibles this Christmas.

MT, you busy lady! I wish I was nearer and could lend a hand!

Disaster with my knitting last night I am doing this blanket which is made up of squares each done in one of three stitches. I have done two squares by now but the third one took 5-6 gos last night and I am either reading the pattern wrong or you need a PhD to do it!! It?s really hard, it is supposed to be little raised sticks but for some reason they are always on the wrong side of the blanket and not on the side where the other two patterns are. The wool is looking a bit straggly from me undoing it so much so I have decided to make it into a moss stitch square instead. I hope it goes with the others

How is everyone? Where is everyone?

PiggyPenguin · 20/12/2007 12:34

Hi Gilly, men! bloody useless at remembering important imformation or asking the right questions. When DH takes dc to the doctors I send him with a list of q's to ask otherwise you get nothing. Its good that he has lots of little chaps, and now you are getting the appointment that's the next step closer, so you should be excited!

I am 14 weeks, I'll be 15 on sunday. The all day sickness is finally getting better and hopefully won't be too much of a problem over xmas. Not that I actually have any food in yet, and I really late or are you all sans-turkey and trimmings too?

gillystarrynight · 20/12/2007 12:39

In laws doing the catering as we are staying at theirs (Dorset) for Christmas and we go off on holiday on the 29th Dec so everything pretty chilled at the daffodil household. We have only catered for Christmas dinner twice in our 10 yr marriage and were too exhausted both times to eat it so now we just try to latch on to a relative or go away on holiday

nomoremagnolia · 21/12/2007 22:22

Hi all, it's rather quiet on here at the moment - what's going on?

MT hope you get on top of things (well, I hope you've already got on top of it by now )

Sybil We're not responsible for the turkey this year - my Mum is feeding us (and 9 others, 4 of whom were added to the list last Sunday after she'd ordered a turkey for 7)

Gilly I know how you feel - having a 'diagnosis' and someone actually doing something about it was a great relief. We're back to the fertility unit in a month's time too and I'm strangely looking forward to it

Hi everyone else Hope you're all well

I have finally got onto Ravelry (as recommended to me by BellaBear) so have spent the evening cataloguing my knitting projects!! (I should have been wrapping DH's presents )

OP posts:
mistlethrush · 24/12/2007 10:00

Gilly - can you put down the pattern here - if I know what the pattern is I might be able to solve the problem for you - from what you say it sounds as though you're starting with the wrong side first, but if you can't solve that, you should be able to change the pattern a bit to get it coming out right.

Still got lots to do, hampered by foot. Its a really good thing that I'm not pregnant as on fairly strong pain killers and antiinflamatories, but foot still throbing. Saw nice man on Friday (squeezed me in as last patient of the year) and said that he thought that the Docs diagnosis was very understandable, but hopefully wrong and that it should be soluble without operation - he's squeezed me into a session on the 4th to start sorting out I hope.

Sent dh out to get a tree on Sat am - he came back with 2 (?!) as he couldn't decide which to get (). Needless to say, neither of them up yet. Also got a bit ratty with him on Sat when I'd been doing stuff after lunch to find him playing games on the computer...

I think he's forgiven me!

Happy Christmas everyone
