Hello Smile.

This is my second month ttc baby #1. I am using OPKs and Conceive Plus. Currently on CD7. Definitely underestimated how much of a rollercoaster ttc would be!

Anyone want to join and share experiences?

JeanieJ · 09/03/2021 16:24

Hiya,
Mind if I join? 😌
TTC #1 and moving onto cycle 9 - I'm on day 1.Been ttc-ing since Aug 20, so I guess this is 7 months now.
We've both had some tests done & everything appears to be normal, so we just need to keep trying.
This is way harder than I ever expected. I know I'm still in the normal timeframe, but it feels like forever!

Good luck to everyone this month
Xx

@Ave93 my period is due 19th March, and then 18th April, what would that mean for a due date for me please? (If I were to get pregnant soon) I'm terrible at working this stuff out Confused. Any help would be much appreciated!! Thanks!

Ave93 · 09/03/2021 19:38

@JeanieJ. Hi 👋. It is really tough isn’t it and it’s hard not to be impatient. It’s a positive sign that your tests all came back clear. I’ll be keeping my fingers crossed for you.

@Genie4808 we’re almost on the same cycle then. My period is due a couple days before. I use an online calculator but I think it depends on when you ovulate so it’s a bit of a guesstimate. If your period is due the 19th it would be around the 24th of December. www.babycentre.co.uk/pregnancy-due-date-calculator

Thanks so much for the link @Ave93 I appreciate it and will keep an eye going forward x

Hi ladies! Got my smiley today, so looks like I’ll be ovulating in the next day or 2! Looks like my body has got back to a bit of normality as my ovulation has fallen around cycle day 16/17 both this month and last month.

Anyone else expecting their positive in the next couple days? Fingers crossed 🤞 x

Timetobeamummy · 12/03/2021 17:27

@Leesha94 I’m currently waiting for my peak this weekend. Day 5 of flashing smiley today!

I had a some bleeding when I wiped last night in my EWCM anyone had this before? Only that once I have read it could be ovulation bleeding. However both my cheapie OPK and CB would say that ovulation hasn’t happened yet. Anyone had this a few days before ovulation?

@JeanieJ Welcome! Sending you lots of good luck.

Ave93 · 16/03/2021 13:46

Just to update you, I did a test yesterday and got a BFN :( I’m CD27 now and about 13dpo. Had some cramps on/off for the last 3 days so think AF is definitely coming. Just want it to start now so I can crack on with month 3 lol. Trying to be positive but it’s always disappointing.

Keeping my fingers crossed for you ladies this month.

Genie4808 · 16/03/2021 15:33

@Ave93 I am also CD27 today and did a test this morning with nothing Sad that's just my first month, like you said days can't pass quick enough now to try again...best of luck x

02Carol · 16/03/2021 16:59

@Timetobeamummy
Sorry, I've not ever had any pre period/Ovulating bleeding, I pretty much start and start with no spotting.

But I've heard of implantation bleeding and Ovulating spotting, so it could be either of these. Would be amazing if it was implantation. Fingers crossed for you.

I just had a static smiley yesterday so DTD yesterday and this morning. Bit confused as it seems super early for me at CD15, but the pee stick is incharge so what it says goes! 🤣

Good luck everyone!

JeanieJ · 18/03/2021 08:57

Heya!
I'm in my window now - CD10. Can't believe we're here again! Isn't it funny how time flies outside your tww? 😂
Really hoping this is our month. 🤞

What's everyone's thoughts on caffeine & ttc?

Don't laugh, but I drink ALOT of coffee & tea during the day. It only occurred to me last week to see if that might impact ttc- there's not a lot of research, but I checked recommended caffeine levels for a pregnant person & (ahem) - I drink 5 times the amount 🙃

I've changed to just one morning coffee & nothing else - just some herbal teas now - luckily didn't get withdrawal symptoms.

Any thoughts?

Good luck to everyone this month & if you're out already, good luck on your next cycle

Xxx

02Carol · 18/03/2021 11:58

@JeanieJ

I'm not a big coffee drinker, so I can't really say for TTC, but just remember it's in your chocolate too 🤦🏻‍♀️🤣 damn it.

I did drink a few herbal tea's, but certain ones are advised against, so maybe just double check yours aren't working against you TTC.

And yes, good luck everyone 👍🤞

Genie4808 · 25/03/2021 17:41

A very old friend of mine told me today she's 3 months pregnant! Tried in one cycle and hey presto!! ShockShe doesn't know I'm TTC, I wish I could talk to her about how she got it right so quick, TWICE (her 2nd baby). Is it really bad luck to tell someone? I wanted to keep myself a secret in case I didn't have luck, but I'm dying to know how she did it so quickly and successfully and I don't want to give myself away lol. Anyone else trying to keep their plans a secret??

Ave93 · 25/03/2021 18:14

@Genie4808
It’s really tough when you’re ttc and people around you are getting pregnant, especially when others make it look easy. I’d tell her if you think it’ll make you feel better and you can get some tips. We haven’t told anyone but I think that’s more because I worry if people know it’ll make me feel more pressure than I already do but you should do what feels right for you. It’s always hard though knowing whether or not to tell people.

When others gets pregnant quickly it can make you feel like something is wrong with you but I honestly think it’s just luck and everyone’s body is slightly different!

OP posts:
Genie4808 · 25/03/2021 18:30

@Ave93 no you're totally right! Im putting myself under enough pressure so couldn't stand the pressure of anyone knowing, thinking why isn't is happening, etc. And I shouldn't be comparing myself either, I'm only in my sending cycle...I'll keep stump for now! Confused that's hopefully what yous girls are for lol Grinquestions and venting! Thanks for getting back to me x

Genie4808 · 30/03/2021 22:58

Ladies, hope this question isn't offensive...but does anyone else have an issue with the semen coming back out after sex? I lay flat for at least 20 mins after sex but I'm worried I'm never going to conceive at the rate?! Is this a thing? Thanks Hmm

02Carol · 31/03/2021 09:20

@Genie4804

This is perfectly normal and natural, especially if you've been in the 'legs up' position.

When first ejaculated, the sperm are in a thick gel like consistency, this helps then 'stick' where they are shot, closer to the goal so less travelling, then as time passes, the fluid begins to liquify, which is easy for the sperms to swim in, I think the average time is 20-30 minutes.

So if you've been laid flat as soon as you stand up after 20 mins then gravity takes over and if you're like me, it's a dash to the toilet!

I've been looking at getting this, will add link, as I like the idea of natural aids, if your worried maybe it's an option?

Genie4808 · 31/03/2021 10:16

@02Carol thanks so much for this, kinda embarrassing as no one ever talks about it. Appreciate the link, let me know if you try it first! Lol Smile

Genie4808 · 12/04/2021 16:41

Hi everyone. I'm going into my third cycle of using only ovulation strips. Is it really worth tracking BBT if I regularly wake up 2-3 times each night? What are your opinions please? Don't want to confuse myself with inaccurate readings...thanks!

Ave93 · 12/04/2021 21:13

Hi @Genie4808! I did bbt with natural cycles and then stopped last month and just did the ovulation strips. I got fed up checking it everyday. I think they suggest that you get 4hrs of solid sleep before testing your BBT in order to get an accurate reading. If you’re doing the ovulation strips I’d imagine it should be enough, you just won’t know for definite how long after the positive test you ovulated.

I got some good news this month - I got my BFP on Saturday :) I’m only 4 weeks tomorrow so feeling exciting but super anxious - just hoping it goes ok and it sticks! The only thing I did different this month was to stop measuring my BBT and I used Preseed lube instead of conceive plus. I also took a female probiotic vitamin. Hoping you ladies get your positives soon too! Xx

@Ave93 amazing!!!! Congratulations to you that's lovely 🥰 really pleased for you! I think I will miss you if you go as you always reply to my questions lol. How long have you been TTC? Thanks again and all the best x

Ave93 · 12/04/2021 21:52

@Genie4808. Thank you. 😘. Haha don’t worry I’ll still reply lol. This was my 3rd month. Xx

@Ave93
🥳🥳🤰 Amazing!!!!!!

Congratulations, let's hope preseed is magic as I actually brought it this month too and started using it!!

Genie4808 · 19/04/2021 13:20

hi can anyone help? I started testing when my period ended on CD3 and these tests are telling me ive already ovulated!! I’m now on CD8 and really confused! I totally missed the chance to have sex. Last month I ovulated a week before the prediction but the levels were far higher and the line was much darker than this. Now my cycle has adjusted to reflect these levels and seems all mixed up. Should I just keep testing And hope the levels come back up? I don’t know what it means when I ovulate just three days after my period 🤷🏻‍♀️ thoughts please? I’m stressed now that things aren’t working correctly.

Hello ladies,

I'm back after a break. We are now 1 month away from my partners 2nd SA - and our referral has been changed from routine to urgent to try and get things moving faster.

Does anyone have any 3% sperm morphology success stories? Xxx
