TWW anybody?

Hi guys! I believe I ovulated today (CD14) after I got a static smiley on my OPK yesterday evening, this was after a flashy smiley in the morning! We DTD last night and now comes the start of the dreaded two week wait! Does any one fancy driving themselves crazy with symptom spotting and trying to to take a test too early with me? 🤣

@BCM2021 not those smileys haha, how are you getting on? I can imagine it's not easy to not think about it with the smileys coming and going!

I'm really not sure if I'm posting in a good place as I'm new to this, but I was just wondering if any experienced testers could help me!

What are the most sensitive cheap pregnancy tests (the ones you dip)? I know first response ER is supposed to be the most sensitive in general and I've taken 2 first response ER tests yesterday and today (I didn't track my ovulation but I estimate I'm between 8-11dpo) and got BFNs. But as I test every day, I'd like to use multiple tests from different brands to improve the accuracy, just in case I get a positive.

I'm convinced I'm pregnant as I have had period-like cramps, sore breasts, waves of nausea, dizziness, and a higher body temp. These symptoms are out of the ordinary because I don't get PMS symptoms. Even when I'm on my period, the only symptom I really have is cramps (but never before my period is due) and I never get sore breasts. But, I've read that it is possible to convince yourself you have pregnancy symptoms, so I don't want to give too much weight to these.

@dj22 I hope you get a positive this month, my honest advice is wait til your af due date and test then. You can spend a fortune on testing, get negatives and only to find out you're pregnant a few days later. I've always found first response more accurate but everyone is different.

@teateaandcoffee thank you for the advice. I think I just have difficulty with the not knowing, but I know it's for the best to save me heartbreak. Hoping and praying for a positive x

@teateaandcoffee yeh ok! 6 days of flashing & solid yesterday, for once the sticks n calendars are adding up! Haven’t gone mad this month though as found the schedule to stressful, dtd the day before solid & on the day of solid so we will see! How ru?

Only thing different my past 2 cycles I have been spotting 7 days before I am due on, this time no spotting. Even if I come on I am glad of it as I was starting to worry why I would spot for so many days suddenly!

Last cycle was 28 days, 2 prior to that 26 so AF could be imminent! If she hasn't shown by Sunday I'll test but I'm super familiar with these cramps.

Had a raging headache yesterday. 4 paracetamol and 2 ibuprofen didn't sort it throughout the day either!

Only time will tell!

@LKB89 those symptoms sound promising though! Kind of cruel that pms and pregnancy symptoms are so similar 😩

I'm CD 24 today too, usually 27 day cycles but I know I ovulated later this month (positive OPK CD16 rather than the usual CD13) so I'm predicting AF will be late too!

Doing ok, has my blood test results back today, so second lot of day 21 tests was still not a great reading, I had 26 nmol of progesterone when they class anything under 30 as not ovulating. The first one was 23, so it's moved in the right direction. Going to try again next cycle slightly later to see if that makes a difference. All other results were fine.

I'm roughly the same cd as you @LKB89 and @AIC2015

@teateaandcoffee well it’s good it’s moving in the right direction, is there anything they can give u like to boost the numbers up? I don’t know much about this but it’s good u r investigating and great the other results we’re good!
@LKB89 well let’s hope no spotting this time is a sign! Glad ur ok, the old waiting game 😩😂

@BCM2021 I don’t think they will at this stage but I am looking into over counter treatments. There is a really good health shop near me so will ask them in there, they recommended me fenugreek when I was breastfeeding and it really worked! So I trust them.

Sorry to hear of your results @teateaandcoffee I too got mine back yesterday and mine is 24 nmol, really gutted 😞 everything else like thyroid all ok.

I am being referred for a scan to check things inside now.

CD27 & still no sign of AF apart from bigger boobs.
I usually would have been spotting now and nothing! So I got myself a bit excited, stupidly, only to have them results yesterday and a BFN this morning. Not sure on my DPO as I didn't track, going off other cycles I will be roughly 10-12 which would show even a squinter I think considering I'm CD27.

Feel so deflated now 😞

@LKB89 ah sorry to hear ur results too n the bfn. Well as everyone says ur not out yet! It’s so bloody stressful x

@LKB89 is this your first 21 day blood test? I've had 2 so far, and going for a 3rd just to check it's not the timing of the test that's affecting the result.
We're very similar levels. I've read mixed things, and also that you can still get pregnant with readings below 30.
On another thread someone suggested Evening Primrose Oil can improve progesterone levels so I will be giving that a try too.
AF arrived yesterday, not bothered testing.

Sorry you feel down, it is hard and not what you want to hear back from the doctors. Hopefully though you will be getting closer to some solutions x

@teateaandcoffee yeah just a first, I wasn't booked in for another but referred straight away? Maybe because I only have the one ovary? Not sure!
I've read mixed things too, came across a chat which stated 30+ definite ovulation, 5-29 inconclusive which I can only imagine is you could have or couldn't have, they can't say....and anything then below that 5 was a definite no?
I rather that be true then a definite no under 30? It's so bloody confusing!

I've not bothered testing either this time, just waiting for the wench to arrive!

@LKB89 that makes sense though thinking about it and that’s good, as you’ve the one ovary they don’t want to be faffing about for a few months doing bloods when they might know more from physical examination.
If you wanted to though I think you they would let you re test at a different time in cycle if you asked. It random though, every gp is different and I didn’t even ask, they recommended that I did.

Hi all how are we all? 7 days into the wait for me 😬🙈! Wanted views on something, I’ve been with my company for 7 months, I’ve been encouraged to go for a internal promotion of which I have, it has since crossed my mind should one be going for promotions when ttc? I know we have no idea how long it will take so u can’t put life on hold but I dunno really? Thanks!

@BCM2021, this topic is a sore one for me! I'm 12 months into my new job and held off getting pregnant until I could get Maternity leave, now my boss is encouraging me to stay an extra 12 before considering children (which she should have no influence on), I'm also aiming for a promotion and I understand it's a difficult place to be.

My opinion also is, you cannot put your home life on hold for a job which you are not promised. You may be waiting for what feels like ages for this job and end up frustrated you waited to ttc. So I'm ttc and still going for those jobs, it's discrimination to rule you out of a job for having a family (but again I totally understand the concern). I hate the work life/family life inbalance that inevitably comes for women.

I'm 12 days into the tww and due on tomorrow, I don't want to get my hopes up but I'm feeling different this month like it may have happened 🥰 but I'll find out tomorrow if AF comes!

Yes it’s such as hard one as no crystal ball like u say, ttc could take 1 yr for all I know and that’s a long time to put off trying, plus I’m nearly 34 now so I don’t want to wait too long! I think u get standard mat pay after 26 weeks here? But no enhancements. Yep part of being a women eh! That’s for the advice, and good luck tomo!!!! 🤞

Well I'm onto another cycle yet again CD2, AF shown her face as per on Saturday. So that means my 21 day progesterone test really did fall on day 21, so I guess it was accurate. Deflated with it all. But won't give up, will keep going. Need to destress more than anything as that can have such an affect on progesterone and it has been one of the most stressful, strangest years!
