Anyone else approaching ovulation?

So we're ttc baby #2, this will be our first month. According to my app I'm due to ovulate around Sunday, so planning to DTD lots over fertile window.

Anyone else at the same point in their cycle?

Would be nice to have company in the dreaded 2 week wait that's about to come 😂

@NW2021 well we made up for the one day off by doing it twice on cd 11 😂

Hi I hope it's ok to join! I've been ttc for 3 years and been on the infertility groups for a while but they are mostly IVF at the moment (which I am waiting for referral) however I've been on Letrozole this cycle and I'm CD31 today and I got the darkest ovulation test I've ever had and had signs of ovulation which is why I even decided to test. I have one test left as I was going to use them up before I start IVF but I don't know whether to test again today or wait until tomorrow now
I've never ovulated before that I know of and usually have my bloods done every month which show I don't normally ovulate but since my clinic decided to refer us for IVF they aren't doing bloods this month. I'll attach a photo of my test, let me know if you think I should retest today or wait until tomorrow xx

@dippyegg32 😂 you covered all days this month!! It’s gotta be done.

@Bec18x I’ve only used opk one month so I’m not really the best to give advice but from what I’ve seen & read on here that looks really strong on LH test! I’d jump on Mr & see what happens.
I know the LH surges 24/48hrs before ovulation so worth a shot.

Hmm I think ovulation was just 12-24hrs after opk peak?

@NW2021 I done the test at about 1.30pm today and was straight on it after haha 😆
I had stopped testing but because of the symptoms I decided to check so I'm hoping we didn't miss it yesterday

Straight on it! No messing! 🤞🏻😂 hopefully you’ve caught it. I’ve heard so many stories about women getting their bfp just before they’re due to start ivf.

@NW2021 my cycles vary a bit but Flo reckons 31 days is my average, last month was 30. This cycle and last I haven't ovulated til CD20, so I've been a bit worried about the length of the luteal phase being a bit on the short side after tracking with OPKs for the first time last month 😬 I've taken prenatal multivitamins plus vit C supplements this month that I've read can help to lengthen it a bit, fingers crossed 🤞🏻

I know it's early days only being cycle 2 so I'm trying not to get worked up about it but I'm a naturally stressy type of person 😂

What's your cycle usually like, when would AF be due?

@mooloop I’m normally 28-29 but last month was 30. So af could be any time after the 19th I recon this month.
I was going to say there’s lots you can do to length the LP from what I’ve read but sounds like you’re on the ball with the vitamins 🥰

I was exactly the same trying not to stress but naturally I’m an over thinker 😂 I’m on cycle 4 of trying and this is the most relaxed I’ve been. If it happens it happens.

Just got my still smiley face! I tested this morning and got the flashing, and this evening I've just felt different, so decided to test! The test line was so strong, cd 13 so a few days earlier than last month, going to dtd tonight! Hopefully not too late 😁

Last month I put so much pressure on myself with timings etc and this month I've tried to be much more chilled. Will be the first time dtd this fertile window as it's come round really quick, so now I'm back to being stressed about it again! Hopefully my boyfriend is in the mood 😩

I'm TTC #1. This is cycle 6 and my first cycle using OPKs. I usually just track using BBT. I've also started taking cough mixture to help loosen my CM as I don't appear to get much EWCM.

Should get my peak tomorrow or the day after. Planning on DTD tonight and the following 2-3 days after. Hopefully this will be our month 🤞🏻 slowly getting fed up with AF arriving every month.

I've been waiting for the peak using CB OPK, but to be honest being on CD20 I had given up and thought i'd missed it, then today CD21 static smiley!! God knows what this means for the length of my cycle, it's gone to pot. We've also not really DTD for the last few days so may have scuppered our chances this month. Will DTD for the next few days and keep our fingers crossed.

@RoseP123 congrats on your static smiley! I'm on day 4 of flashing and getting so impatient 🤦🏽‍♀️ how many days of flashing did you have? I'm also worried that we haven't been doing it enough as I got my flashing Thursday but DH was away, DTD Friday, Skipped Saturday as o was planning every other but then he was really sick yesterday! We're planning on DTD tonight, tomorrow and hopefully Wednesday then he's away Thursday/Friday so hopefully I don't get my peak then!

Any thoughts guys? I got my static smiley yesterday afternoon, so last night we dtd and then I just laid there and fell asleep. This morning I wake up and I've had no semen leakage at all, so I'm panicking he didn't ejaculate? Has anyone had this before? ☹️

I was so happy we had timed it right and now I'm just worrying it's not going to happen because what if he didn't finish (though he said he did)

@AIC2015 I wouldn’t panic, if you lay there and went to sleep anything that was left was probably all dry by the time you got up.
They says it’s good to not get up after DTD so really wouldn’t worry.

@Arrierttyclock I had 7 days of flashing smiley, so keep going I was about to give up but thought i'd just carry on until the 9th day like it says on the OPK instructions. It's hard to judge when do dtd isn't it! The last time we dtd was Friday, so now I feel like we have some catching up to do.

Morning all! Sorry I've been quiet. I should have ovulated over the weekend but didn't so was feeling frustrated. Yesterday I got my flashing smiley. First month using cb opks so no idea how many days of flashing smileys to expect!

@AIC2015 I wouldn't worry. I agree with @NW2021 it has probably just dried and been absorbed after several hours!

@Flowers222 lots of variation with the flashing smileys, just depends on you. This was my first month using CB OPK's, had 7 flashing smileys and static smiley today. I just carried on as it was the first time using them, a bit of trial and error

@mooloop it sounds as though our cycles are similar with a slightly later ovulation date, what CD are you on now if you don't mind me asking? I have updated my OPK's on the Glow app which has now moved my predicted AF to 22nd Feb meaning a longer cycle. I am wondering if this is because i've not been off the pill for long?

Hey @RoseP123 I'm on CD22 today, ovulated CD20 I think. Last cycle my luteal phase was only 10 days so I'm hoping it's a bit longer this month! I think the apps tend to assume a 14 day LP so might have moved to fit with that?

@mooloop Oh yeah we're similar, I am not due to ovulate til tomorrow though CD22 which seems late compared to others Yeah that sounds like it could be right, I will have to update the app again when AF arrives. This is my first cycle i've tracked so nothing to compare it to yet.

Good to see alot of you have ovulated over the weekend. No idea what my body is doing as I'm not tracking anything, had ewcm and felt some pinching on Saturday which could of been ovulation but still have ewcm today too... not having sex every day do not sure if were doing enough but trying not to get tied up in it all this time. Goodluck to you all. Let the countdown begin...

So I've tested again today and all my apps are saying ovulation today however wouldn't it still be positive if that's the case? I've got more tests arriving today so I can test again later when they get here. I didn't test on CD 30 which is annoying. I'm going to ask my consultant if he can order me a progesterone blood test at work tomorrow so I can find out for sure if I have ovulated or not 🤷🏼‍♀️

@Bec18x it looks like it was positive yesterday and you usually ovulate 24-36 hours after your peak. It doesn't have to still be positive today for you to still ovulate today. Mine usually go negative by the time I ovulate. I have attached a graph to show the LH peak. Do you temp? That can confirm if you do ovulate or not after a LH surge.

@Flowers222 thanks for the reply, no I don't temp but I normally just have bloods on day 21 and then induce my period so I must always miss ovulation! I'll get my bloods done at work tomorrow to confirm 🤞🏻

Day 6 of flashing smileys 😭 going to stop testing from tomorrow as husbands away Thursday/Friday/Saturday and I know I'll just upset myself if I reach my peak then!
