@apwilso maybe wait until your back home before testing again? Look after yourself lovely xx

I’ve started spotting so AF is deffo on her way. Had a bit of a breakdown today which isn’t great.

I’m going to have a break off here for a bit ladies and I guess I’ll be back in 3 weeks! @Tabbycat92 I hope this month is your month xx

1992EM · 17/04/2021 12:16

@LRW26 sorry to hear that 😔 take care.

@apwilso best to wait a few days to see if tests get darker . You can spot/bleed and it not end in miscarriage but it is impossible to tell at this point as you are too early to have a scan. A doctor could take bloods over the course of a few days to see progression. The fact you have no clots is good. X

I'm a lunatic but I've tested all weekend despite bleeding from Friday afternoon till today and had faint lines. Been feeling really sick and heartburn.

My lines have got darker and I've got clear positives on my tests!!

Tabbycat92 · 18/04/2021 21:56

@apwilso what's the bleeding been like? Is it light? Or like a period? Defo worth seeing a gp tomorrow if you can!

apwilso · 18/04/2021 22:15

@Tabbycat92 it started on Friday afternoon and it was like dark red but constant but no filling a pad up more like a bit when I wipe and on the pad. Been at a centre parcs so a lot of running around and activities. Thought I was having a chemical so disregarded and drank on Friday night only a little bit then went to the toilet and did another test before bed and came up again faint line. Not tested all day until I drove home and this is the result (I've just taken this picture but it was a instant line when we did them and also I had a clear blue which again was instant. Boyfriend was sat with me and watched them develop.

Blood was literally watery but coloured no clots at all. More red/pink yesterday today brown. Googled and said either chemical or implantation bleeding. I've never been pregnant before like this so I'm not sure what to expected since forums and pages say spotting is pink or brown but can also be red! How is that helpful and also some women have light spotting. Got more tests coming tomorrow so I will have to go from there and I think I'll ring the doctors. Really confused xx

Tabbycat92 · 18/04/2021 22:18

@apwilso how many dpo are you? It sounds a like it was too heavy for implantation, but I have no experience to go by. Defo ring the doctors, they'll be able to test your hcg levels

apwilso · 18/04/2021 22:21

@Tabbycat92 didn't test at all this month so not sure maybe around 17? Lines have got darker from Wednesday to now. From being faint to like positive straight away. I'm not too sure what's going on so I'm going to ring the doctors and go from there x

1992EM · 18/04/2021 22:31

@apwilso I would try get a digital . If your period is late it will show up. It is hard to know as everyone experiences different things. I know some people on the pregnancy forum who ended up further on than they thought because they had what they thought was a period. I would contact a doctor and ask for bloods to be done to see if it progresses over a couple of days .

Hi everyone

New to mumsnet but wanted to talk to other people TTC :)
I'm 32 been with my partner for 9 years (married for 1.5 years) and now finally ready to have a baby
We've only been trying for 4 weeks but I've been mega stressed about it already!
All my friends who have babies (which are only 2 to be fair) all got pregnant their first time so I thought I would too Confused which of course is stupid of me
We've been trying 3 times a week this month but next month I'm going to start buying the ovulation kits
I've also started taking folic acid tablets and not running straight to the toilet after doing it Hmm
Is there anything else you guys would recommend doing?

Tabbycat92 · 19/04/2021 10:51

Hi and welcome @Elsbeth1
I know it's hard, but try not to compare I other people. My first pregnancy I conceived the first month. This one I tried for 6months, conceived then miscarried, and am now trying again. It can take time.

Crazy to think there are only about 3/4 fertile days in a cycle, so I'd defo recommend the ovulation tests and a good tracking app (I use Premom) just so you know for definite that you're having sex on the right days.

Other than that I'd recommend looking into the vitamins you're taking. Definitely yes to folic acid, but there are other things that can help. I'm taking a huge concoction, but ones I'd recommend are COQ-10 and macca root.

Best of luck to you!

apwilso · 19/04/2021 11:39

@1992EM rang the doctors going to speak to me at 3pm-4pm more tests coming to keep an eye on it but paranoid now

apwilso · 19/04/2021 17:33

Been doctors had my bloods done. Ordered loads of tests and this is the result! I'm hoping my bloods come back okay💓

@apwilso ahhhh congratulations 💕 your frer looks so much darker than the previous ones so fingers crossed all is ok with bloods

OP posts:
Elsbeth1 · 19/04/2021 18:33

Oh no I'm so sorry to heard about the miscarriage @Tabbycat92 :( hope you're holding up ok!

Thanks for all the recommendations! I've just downloaded premom and will definitely buy some OPKs and more vitamins for next month!
Who knew getting pregnant was so much work Shock

@apwilso Ahhh congraaaaats Grin how exciting!

Tabbycat92 · 19/04/2021 20:02

Ahh @apwilso that's looking so promising! Are you still bleeding now? I'm keeping my fingers firmly crossed for you! Might be worth asking your gp to prescribe you progesterone. My friend who has previously had 2 MCs started bleeding on her current pregnancy. She was prescribed progesterone and it stopped the bleeding entirely.

Tabbycat92 · 19/04/2021 20:06

@Elsbeth1 Thankyou. It was hard as the pregnancy was all at the perfect timing etc. But I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I might have conceived again already as ovulated just over 2 weeks after the MC and sometimes apparently it makes you extra fertile 🤷‍♀️ I certainly feel extra fertile, more ovulation symptoms than I've ever had before! 🤞
Yes in some cases unfortunately it can be very difficult. Some ladies can take years to conceive.
Best of luck!

apwilso · 19/04/2021 20:08

@1992EM thank you💓

@Elsbeth1 thank you xxx

@Tabbycat92 bleeding completely stopped! I will ask about that thank you for the advice!💙

My fingers are crossed the doctor will be ringing me
Tomorrow to let me know about my bloods xx

1992EM · 23/04/2021 03:57

@apwilso how are you getting on? I am glad the bleeding has stopped 💕

OP posts:
apwilso · 23/04/2021 06:47

@1992EM I'm okay thanks. Doctors recommended to book in with midwife and get an early
Scan due to the bleeding as it possibly just could have been implantation bleeding but just to make sure. My blood tests came back definitely pregnant and I did a digital on Monday which showed me 1-2 weeks (cb) and did another on Wednesday which showed me 2-3. Apps are saying 5 weeks and 4 days. Bad experience with the receptionist at my
Doctors about the appointment but trying not to let anxiety take over x

Tabbycat92 · 23/04/2021 07:52

@apwilso ahh I'm so glad everything is seeming normal! What should your due date be? I imagine you must be the end of December?
If it happens for me this month I'll be due the 2nd January I think

1992EM · 23/04/2021 08:20

@apwilso amazing news. I bet you are both so happy. I think it must be in the job description for some receptionist to be nasty on the phone at the doctors. Mine are a nightmare just now too. When are you roughly due ? The NHS calendar was very accurate for me and my dates haven't changed .

OP posts:
apwilso · 23/04/2021 09:52

@Tabbycat92 I think it's around 29th December. So if so we wouldn't be far off each other!
@1992EM they actually are. Been having light spotting since but spoke to the doctors and she said it's okay as long as I don't have cramps and bleeding which I don't. Apparently I'll have an early scan but not sure if that will be today or not x

apwilso · 23/04/2021 12:28

Been midwife seeing them again in two weeks and due date 21st December x

1992EM · 23/04/2021 12:56

@apwilso did you get an early scan ? They often are reluctant until you are past 6 weeks as it is difficult to pick up on a scan this early and may not give accurate answers x

OP posts:
apwilso · 23/04/2021 13:06

@1992EM yeah she said I don't need one and it's a waste of time. Spotting is fine until jt turns red then it's a problem
