good morning all

always lovely to see that list of graduates first thing in the morning. but I must say I feel very AF imminent like

I always feel light headed and slightly nauseous before it arrives (sorry tmi) but the again...

07mumstheword · 08/11/2007 08:52

Shazza I still can't believe I had as CD10! We bd'd last night but we were both so tired (dd & cats between them kept us awake half the night before with one thing or another) DH just got the job done!

Even though the instructions say there is no need to do further OPK tests I have done but no for the last two days so thats it for this month? Anyone believe or know it is possible to OV twice? I know its not just can't believe I OV so early!

My 2 ww is going to be a long one. Symptom spotting already as been having gripey aches in tummy which is ridiculous as must be wind! I've also concluded over the last few months that AF symptoms & PG symptoms can be so similar that it's hard to tell.

sfxmum · 08/11/2007 08:55

think you are right on those symptoms being similar 07
and shazza my morning ritual involves MN and FB too

tasjaSAmuminUK · 08/11/2007 08:56

Morning all

how are all of you doing? I've got period tipe pains this morning in my abdomen. It's like a sharp pain and then gone, then sharp pain again. Don't feel to good.

Shazza2002 · 08/11/2007 09:02

MTW Although could be good having OV early, as at least you have less time to wait for testing. Although I know it will seem like a long time. I mean some of the PG tests you can do 10DPO so infact you could be testing in like 8/9 days. Wooooo

I normally enjoy sex (once I get going) but there is a different feeling about it. Plus I have been so tired lately (having phantom PG symptoms before I've even OV, I should get a grip) so been going to bed early. Then waking in the night thinking I'm not going to make a baby by being asleep, and waking poor DP and expecting him to perform.

Sorry for long winded message. I can't believe how obsessed I've got. Need to snap out of it

Also, last time I was PG, didn't test until I was nearly 2 weeks overdue as constantly felt like AF was arriving any minute, she never did and I was PG. So very very annoying that a lot of the symptoms are the same.

Shazza2002 · 08/11/2007 09:05

sfx I see you're on CD29, hwo long are your cycles normally, as in are you overdue and why haven't you done a test

Mean that nicely of course

tasja That sort of pain can be OV pain, apparently 1 in 5 women experience it. But I think if they surveyed 5 women that are TTC then it would be more like 4 in 5 as you are noticing more IYSWIM. So looking good for you

sfxmum · 08/11/2007 09:11

shazza - my cycle is usually 30 days so I will be waiting until saturday I think before testing. trying to keep obsession under control I find that looking after my toddler keeps my mind off things a bit

tasja - the stabbing pain is, for me, very much OV

tasjaSAmuminUK · 08/11/2007 09:16

Thanks you all.

But not to much, or should I say NO BD'ing going on in this house as I am upset with DH. (Can't do link)

Story is - we are going home (to SA) in 2 1/2 weeeks. We are married 5 years. He booked a lovely evening dinner, red roses, night in hotel (my parents can look after DD) which we can't do here in UK.

And he went and cancel everything to go to our friends which lives 800km from us in SA, for 2 days so we can go and meet our godchildren.

Shazza2002 · 08/11/2007 09:42

sfx Very wise plan indeed, at least then you'll be overdue and none of the normal things if it's BFN of 'testing too early' IYSWIM. But positive thinking, its' going to be BFP !!

tasja That is so annoying, that you manage to be angry at DP at the wrong time of month. Although I have been the same this week, I am convinved I get more stroppy around OV and therefore the slightest thing annoys me.

MissusH · 08/11/2007 10:12

Hi everybody (helloooo to cycle buddies lissie, Clairepo, mamalex, ggg )

I'm still around but been mega busy the last few days, which is great cos it takes my mind off the 2ww

My last few cycles have been between 30 & 32 days so have around 10 days left until I can test (10 bloody days - feels like forever!!!) Although I know I am not pg so don't think I'll even bother to be honest...

I'll sprinkle some baby dust over me anyway [*] so even if it hasn't worked this month it will still look pretty...

Morning all,

Have mostly stayed away this month, as found my last BFN very hard.

Anyway, am now CD11 and back BDing like mad! Off on holiday tomorrow for a couple of weeks, so the 2WW will be easier than normal! Have promised not to take any tests with me, so will just have to wait to test until I get back.

See you when I get back - hope to see lots of BFPs!

x

beaniesteve · 08/11/2007 11:14

Starlight: I'm on Cycle Day 25/26 of a 25/26 day cycle so I am due to test! Still holding out til the weekend though!

Shazza2002 · 08/11/2007 11:14

starlight I am using the CBFM. My friend bought it but never had to use it, lucky girl. So she leant it to my other friend who had already been TTC for about 6 months, and hey presto after 1st month of using it fell PG. Think that was down to the CBFM telling her OV days, she had always thought she OV later so she was 'missing the boat' each month so to speak.

This is my first month of using it, so don't know yet how effective it is.

Hi pennybenjamin Hope you have a fab holiday, nothing like a break to get you in the mood. Should make the 2WW a lot less stressful for you.

For all the rest of us not feeling too great today, it's nearly friday

sfxmum · 08/11/2007 11:17

as everyone noticed the banner up top saying Zita West will be in for a chat next monday?

starlight Have to start on CD1, then first cycle it asks you to start peeing on sticks from CD6. I had low, CD6,7,8, then high CD9,10,11,12. Tells you high when it detects increase in estrogen, then peak when it detects the LH surge.

So just waiting for my 'peak' so to speak.

Some fertility expert, I had to look her up too

GreenGlassGoblin · 08/11/2007 11:52

Hi all, how's everyone today. It's winter here so I was all for staying indoors doing my exam revision like a good goblin, but I can see a gorgeous rainbow out of the window so I may ahve to go into the garden to admire it. PennyBenjamin I hope you have a great holiday, it does totally help with not obsessing about testing (leastways, it helped me). And annimac we only managed a pathetic once this month too, but I'm still hopeful. Felt slightly constipated this morning (TMI, the things you type here) so am hoping it is a sign!

sfxmum · 08/11/2007 11:59

sorry Zita West
I read her book before i got pregnant with dd some sound advice
not as good as taking charge of your fertility but quite good

I've got the Zita West book as well. Both make interesting reading. I'm using the ordinary cb opks so no smiley face. No positive yet but only cd8. Think I will leave it today (tried yesterday) and start tomorrow. Have 6 left, so that will then take me up to cd14.

Shazza2002 · 08/11/2007 12:44

Question for you ladies.

I know it's near lunchtime so I probably should wait until after but I can't.

How can I tell the difference between sperm and CM?

Basically have what I think is EWCM today, but as we BD last night not sure if it's sperm or not
