Hi everyone

I am not suggesting this is pregnancy so please don’t come at me.. I just want some advice really!

My usual cycle is around 26 days but has occasianally been under and over that buy a few days. I don’t properly track my ovulation anymore as I have been trying for a 2nd child for nearly 9 years!!! ( partner has fertility issues) And after obsessing over everything for so long I have managed to relax a little as it was taking over my life. According to the app I use to track my cycle I ovulate around CD 10/11.

Normally the arrival of my period is very predictable.. I start cramping a few days before and get headaches and I am very grumpy. The bleeding is heavy, painful and lasts for around 4 days and then stops. This month to my suprise, on CD 16 I started spotting. It was very light and only there when I wiped and was brown/pink. I am now on CD 24 and the spotting has not stopped. The last day or so has been slightly heavier but still only on wiping. I thought it was the beginning of AF this morning but the next time I went to the bathroom there was nothing. I have no cramps AT ALL, no headaches, no mood swings. I took a HPT about 4 days ago as I had one in the cupboard and just thought why not.. obviously it was negative.

I have NEVER had anything like this before. Literally spotting for 10 days! I am worrying that this could be the start of my own fertility problems eg cysts, polyps, fibroids, hormonal imbalance.

Have any of you experienced anything similar to this? I am officially due to start AF in 2 days and would really appreciate any thoughts!

Hi Bellatrix123,

We're sorry to hear what's going on for you right now - we're no experts in fertility issues but we wanted to extend our sympathy and give this a bump for you.

No doubt some of our wise users will be along soon to offer their advice.

We hope you can seek some real life professional medical help too.
All the best

Hi @Bellatrix123,
I've literally just posted a very similar thread! I've been spotting since cd15 and now on cd30 so that's me spotting for two weeks now! AF due in two days...
I'm having a phone consultation with my GP on Monday as this isn't the first time this has happened. It last happened in June but examination and ultra sound all came back clear. It was put down to stopping breastfeeding which made sense at the time. This month i have no idea why it's happening though!! Hoping to start ttc this month too so I'm a bit concerned that this is happening now.
Fingers crossed we can both get to the bottom of this. You're not alone!

@IHaveADream14 My AF has started now but it’s a bit hard to say which day as I thought it had a couple of days ago and then it stopped but definitely has arrived now. I’m going to wait and see what happens through this cycle and possibly try and get an appointment if it’s not back to normal!

Thankyou for your reply. I’m sorry you are going through it and I hope you get some answers but also glad that I’m not the only one! The woman’s body is a strange thing hey.
